With the new update I can’t log in anymore and the dumb password reset email is not showing up in my email I have a month pass still active and can’t use it if it isn’t solved over the phone i will start a refund with my bank

I liked the old app better, it was much faster and easier to buy bus passes and tickets. Also, the old app had face ID, which made it way faster to buy tickets. Please integrate face ID and a better interface like the old app! For now, one star. ⭐️👎

I try to set the depart or arrival time to other times to see how I can plan out my day if I need to go by bus. However it just kicks me out of OCBus whenever I try to do so, the trip planner will only show you the next bus time so you can’t plan ahead to see what time the bus will come. Fix that and OCBus will be so much better. Additionally, times when bus comes are pretty off, since sometimes it tells me that the time for next one, saying that the last bus left but then I see that it’s here and it leaves before I realize that I can get on.

The most ridiculous thing is abandoning your customer. Not once but twice. Standing right at Fullerton transport center for the bus but didn't stop at the spot showing up on map but it passed right through and stopped 30 steps at another spot. When I had just run to reach the rear, door closed and dashed like crazy. Tried to catch another time on Euclid but door slammed when I was right at the door. Train your drivers to be mindful and pay attention to the details.

Make your bus on-time. Customer has to wait 0.5-1hr for missing the 2nd bus because of the 1st late arrival in 1-2 mins.

OCBus does not even help tract the bus. Useless.

I created three accounts, all of them works on the website, but none of them could be used on OCBus . Wasted 5 dollars on the one day ticket.

New app has a lot less of the features that made it easy use it is less intuitive and glitchy at times

I’m unable to login on another device to use my tickets. When I tried to login on another device it automatically locked all my tickets that I purchased. This is ridiculous!!!

can’t access old tickets, they won’t load even on the old app. I usually buy them in bulk since I ride the bus daily, but now they are all gone. Did I get any say in this matter? No. But they will gladly take more of my money. Pathetic.

Honestly, this is one of the worst bus services that I’ve ever written I don’t need is it overpriced but it doesn’t work half the time I was trying to make a very important meeting and the bus broke down almost at my destination. It may be very uncomfortable and maybe never trust these buses he ever again please try to avoid the bus line and get your own car just as I will

It’s fine most of the time when using a single trip ticket, but I noticed that on day pass, around the fourth or fifth ride it just straight up wouldn’t work. Even if I get it to scan it would say “invalid ticket”. So, on basically any destination that takes three transfers it’s worthless. I thought the draw of the e-ticket was to save money on the $5 paper ticket, but I guess they didn’t really agree on that. I guess I have to keep killing trees on papers.

I bought two tickets within 5 minutes. The first one didn’t show up, neither did the second. Checked the active & available tickets, nothing. Refreshed screen a million times, nothing. Deleted and redownloaded OCBus , nothing. Signed in and out, nothing.
Bought another ticket with a different card. Nothing.

I caved in and bought a third. Guess what? Nothing.
I got an email explicitly saying that I couldn’t even use my receipts to redeem my tickets. I showed my purchase history from OCBus to the bus driver. He was sweet & let me on regardless. I got off my shift and had no other way home, if it weren’t for him I probably wouldn’t be able to get there.

I used OCBus twice before and had no prior problems until now. Having to deal with this after a long day is especially frustrating so please, PLEASE fix this.

I’m happy with OCBus except for a major, app-ruining issue: The tickets always glitch out and give an “invalid ticket” message when boarding. I’ve bought 3 tickets in OCBus now and all three didn’t work. Since being able to pay for the bus is the most important part of OCBus, one star until the glitch is fixed.

You can’t do anything with this, like at all. It won’t let you view bus schedules, it won’t let you find nearby stops, if you try to find a route for an arrival/ departure time that’s anything other than the current time OCBus will crash, every single time, without fail. I don’t know if OCBus is considered part of a public service and therefore difficult to fix but in its current state it is unusable.

i was forced against my will to get this new app since the older and better version isn’t allowed anymore and all i gotta say is OCBus is terrible compared to the previous version. even the bus driver agreed. after purchasing my tickets on OCBus and trying it on the bus, a red screen popped up and said “INVALID” so i just wasted my money then? extreme downgrade

Idk why but I keep getting invalid ticket days in row even though I paid. This is very upsetting what is the point to have app if it’s doesn’t work? OCBus makes both the driver and buyer uncomfortable, very stupid. Why the heck do I have to explain why app doesn’t work? How would I know? Please fix this stupid app and stop taking away people’s money please

I’m an IVC student. I depended on the old app for transportation. Now I don’t have access to my bus pass because OCBus requires you to make a brand new account instead of saving information from past accounts. The old app worked wonderfully, I think this new app is unnecessary. They could’ve just updated the old app instead of making an entirely new one if they really needed to.

I have had OCBus for three years and the tickets are always buggy whenever I’m tried to use them but now I can’t even login as whenever I try to login a message appears that says error and it would tell me to check my email for a verification link but a email will never appear. This is heavily problematic for a college student like me, who is dependent on the bus to take me to and from college.

I recently bought a promotional ticket which I had another ticket with a week still left on it. I ended up finding out that the ticket purchased wasn’t activated in the time needed which was a week later after the other expired. Why would anyone have two activated at the same time. On top of that they didn’t honor a service which I use to get to work and get home only to find out they have a NO REFUND policy on tickets. ITS JUST BAD BUSINESS, says a lot about OCTA

I use OCBus every single day. Their trip planner is buggy and I don’t recommend using OCBus for more than purchasing tickets. They had a sale, 5 day passes for 15. I bought two bundles, a couple days apart. None show up on my app. I’ve logged out, restarted my phone, redownloaded the application, but my tickets still won’t show up. My bank account was charged and OCBus shows your purchase history where it shows the ticket bundles were bought, but I have zero access to the tickets themselves. This is not an honest way to make money. I didn’t donate 30$ worth of tickets to Oc bus. I want immediate action.

Today I need the bus pass for 30 day and the first time it didn’t go through but the second time it did go through but wait I have two bus tickets and I wasted 138 dollars from mine account and I want my 69 dollars back so again help get my money back 👎

Tickets will scan in as “invalid ticket” even if you activate it once you’re inside the bus. Customer service says it’s a well known issue but judging by how old the other reviews are about tickets failing (and how coach operators begrudgingly let you on) nothing is being done about it.

Horrible app worst thing that happened to octa it definitely works better with androids but any iphones absolutely not so many issues errors it constantly doesnt work and whats worse is you uninstall and reinstall to reboot and it renders all your tickets useless… dont count on IT or customer service not helpful whats worse is drivers make you feel super bad even tho you trying to get the ticket thing to work

Making this new app was pointless. With this new app you can’t use your old octa account you have to make a new one. The “trip planner” is literally just the web version of google maps embedded into OCBus . You get this annoying pop up asking if you want to switch the actual google maps app every time. Also why do we need a separate app for OC flex? Why not just combine everything into a one OC transit app?

I’ve been getting invalid alerts (red screen with a big X) on the bus after purchasing the ticket, Most bus drivers are aware of the issue and allow you to enter the bus. Others who aren’t aware of the glitch, act as if they’re doing you a favour by letting you on the bus, even though your a paying customer. They need to fix this issue ASAP

Is using OCBus but for some reason the page where it shows how I want to pay does not load. It just buffers and I have left it there for over an hour just to see if it would eventually load so I can pay and use the pass but it never does. I checked for updates, deleted and re-downloaded OCBus and it still doesn’t work.

I used to use OCBus all the time no problems but haven’t been able to get past the choosing the way I want to pay page. It’s extremely frustrating. Anyone else have this problem?

I am a Fullerton and Cypress College student who relies heavily on my school given bus passes. Since I had one from each school, I also allowed my friend to use my unused one since he needed a way to get around.

With this new app, I have lost both my tickets and I am not sure how to get them back. I followed the instructions in the email sent out but it says I have no tickets and I have even used my school email and such as told to do by the school.

I’m not exactly upset but I wanted to bring that to attention with OCTA and hopefully they can get a fix out or something because my friend and I just lost our rides to everywhere and beyond!

I take the bus everywhere but when I buy the ticket and scan the barcode for the first time, it keeps saying “invalid ticket”. I keep showing the driver the ticket on OCBus with the date.. it works after that for the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th bus ride. Please fix the bug of it saying “invalid ticket” when the ticket barcode is just newly bought. But overall, everything works fine.

The times I’ve used OCBus and scan it at the bus would not work. Overall OCBus is convenient but still need work. Maybe its the scanners but idk

I’ve been using OCBus for sometime now and there’s no payment option for people with disabilities. It’s 75 cent to ride the bus but OCBus will not give you an option and charge you a full 2 dollars. You’re better off just carrying money if you’re going to ride the bus.

I use OCBus every day for heading to work since it has launched and it is a nice application. Works effectively the same as the old one with a few extra utilities with separate purpose though once consistent issue I have noticed since launch is that the tickets will occasionally fail in contrast to the old app. It made me avoid moving to the new one and every now again periods will occur where tickets purchased a minute or two before embarking a bus will state invalid. My guess is that when purchased I have noticed the expiration is set to the same minute it is purchased regardless of if you activate it or not in some cases though it has been intermittent.

This new app seemed unnecessary but it does have slight improvements over the last one. My main issue is tickets not working when activated. It could be because I’ve activated it within a short time before entering the bus….

You can get just about anywhere in OC with their bus system. Most drivers are great. However, I do wish that the maps that the OCTA puts online showed more details and other real cross roads. It is difficult to know what stops one actually goes through, so getting to a new place, that is not listed on the provided OCTA maps can be difficult.

whenever i scan my ticket it says it’s invalid even though i paid for it. very disappointed.

Second week the ap was active I bought a day pass. Later that day the ap showed no tickets, had to buy it again.

It’s good bus company in California

They boast how high their ratings are yet none of their buses are ever on time. Terrible drivers and a terrible service

It’s so easy to buy passes and sometime you get a passes that are cheaper.. will say that sometimes it will not read it clearly but that okay.

I find myself waiting sometimes up to an hour for a connecting bus. I am sure this is a common complaint. Sometimes I miss it by minutes and then have to wait an hour for the next bus.

One example would be north bound 90 connecting to North 86.
