Love the App but…

It would be extremely helpful if there was a feature in the settings where you could set the pomodoro timer by the number of rounds you’d like to complete. I’m not sure if this is already possible… if so, it’s not made very obvious to the user. If that feature could be created in the settings, I would use FocusTraveller more than my other focus/pomodoro apps. Right now I use it the least.

I do love FocusTraveller. It’s stunning and the music/visuals are very peaceful. I just need an app that will automatically tell me when to break and when to start going again, and I find that having to reset it each time, interrupts my flow of focus.

Lots of potential but …

I feel like FocusTraveller would be really helpful if you could connect with people who already have FocusTraveller that maybe you don’t know. And serve it just being invite your friends. Also, I could see myself forgetting that I even have it on and walking away from it when I’m not actually focused. I wonder if there’s a way to avoid that. I really want to be able to use FocusTraveller to help keep me on task…. my ND brain loves to wonder away from my tasks. FocusTraveller is great for tracking time on FocusTraveller but so far I don’t see how it helps KEEPING you focused.

Flexible timer + keeps me off my phone

I love FocusTraveller! It keeps me focused and off my phone (“deep focus“ mode). After a few days, I upgraded to the full subscription, and it's worth it. My favorite feature is that the timer counts up, so I can pause or end a session without losing credit for the focus time I've already put in. This removes the pressure of "all or nothing" timers that penalize you, which can be demotivating.

My only suggestion would be to add some variety to FocusTraveller 's design and soundscapes. For example, the Flora app offers new locations and islands to unlock and explore. Adding something similar to this app, such as mountains or forests with distinct bird sounds or background animals, could keep users engaged and motivated while also preventing FocusTraveller from becoming monotonous over time.

Amazing app! One issue

Love the art of FocusTraveller and the motivation it gives me. My one issue is that I get notifications when one of my friends invites me very rarely so we end up inviting each other more than 20 times before we can join.

It would be a 5-star review if there was some feature or tab in FocusTraveller that let you see who was inviting you. Then I could get into groups easier. Thank you!

Cute but missing functionality

I like FocusTraveller and want to use it more, but there are a couple of glitches/design issues. For one, at least for me, there seems to be no way to turn off the background sound when you’re wearing headphones. You can turn off the music but not the sounds of the forest or rain, etc. Also, inviting other to focus with you is difficult and so far when I’ve managed to do it, it’s put me in deep focus mode, which stops both travelers any time you lock your phone, get a notification, and so on. Looking forward to next version of FocusTraveller!

Lovely, charming focus timer

I love the concept of this a lot! The graphics are extremely charming and there's a lot of personality packed into it, which makes you want to use it! I like how "lenient" it is about tracking your productivity progress, which other apps are strict about. It's great that it offers you a choice.

I just wish it supported Split View on iPad—there's a studying app I want to use in tandem with it, but only the Slide Over function works.

So close to perfect!

SO good so far, I love everything— the art, the music, the functionality, it’s all wonderful!!
There are a few things that would take it from good to great.

First, a Lock Screen widget so I could start a focus timer from the Lock Screen, that would be a game changer!

Second, I wish there was some way to set it to block apps or force you to put down your phone, like if your phone isn’t down it will cancel the timer.

Third, I’d love if there was a feature for some kind of negative consequence for a cancelled timer. Of course you could turn this feature on or off so those who don’t want that don’t have it :)

As a bonus, I’d love to see stats for what time of day was most productive, and be able to rate how productive or distracted you were at the end of each session.

Most of all, please please please make the Lock Screen widget for convenient timer starting!! It would make a huge difference!!!!

Thank you for the wonderful app!

Integral for completing my dissertation

I love that FocusTraveller is non-punitive, the graphics/art is absolutely gorgeous (the best I’ve ever seen in a flow timer or really any app for any purpose on the market), the music is so soothing, and I’m even going to pay for an upgrade to get more characters and seasons even though I would normally never pay for apps.

Such a great app!

A great app with beautiful graphics. The music is also so lovely. I only wish there was a way to visually see how many mountains you’ve climbed, or have a different mountain type/different area. I love the little journals you get after each mountain, but I think it would be cool to have a page where they’re “collected!” Amazing app either way, I’m so productive now!

Recommended from a Friend

I downloaded FocusTraveller based on my friends recommendation and I really love it. I love the visual aspect of this Pomodoro productivity timer app because it’s not just the timer and it helps to visualize how you’re continuously working. The characters are all so cute as well.
One thing I would like to see more is locations ! But I’m looking forward to new updates.

Perfect — but one thing!

I recently discovered FocusTraveller (& I’m using it as I write this!), & let me tell you — I adore it!
I love the little avatar & how it climbs up, & I have genuinely seen such an improvement in the way I study with this.

However, I do have one peeve — & it’s with the music.
I love how we have the playlist option, but I wish we were able to skip some songs with a skip button :(. I love FocusTraveller & the music feature but sometimes a song knocks me off & I struggle to pay attention until it’s over!
I wish we were able to have a skip or a shuffle button, maybe it’s already in & my app is just glitching— but it’s really driving me nuts haha!

Other than that — FocusTraveller is pure perfection! :)

The only absolute favorite focus app I need

I have been through a couple of focus apps and none of them really stick. Either being too plain or basic, but FocusTraveller surpassed that.

What makes FocusTraveller different is the first hand feel of studying together with a true companion. Where your picked character is going on a journey and you are working hard alongside. Where both of you are supporting each other through the thin and thick.

While still fairly new, I am very excited to see all of the possible amazing features that are yet to come out. The music is incredible, the animations are breath taking, the timers are precise, and so on.

Would be nice if we could interact with other users of FocusTraveller along with more options for free users!

Very nice!

I love the general aesthetic and vibe of this timer compared to other pomodoro timers! I hope to see more updates and features in the future. One think I would like to see more is new locations and places to travel to. The only problem is that FocusTraveller is heavily paywalled for extra features like new characters and seasons (which cannot be unlocked via currency like other apps), but it’s still fine without it.

Sooo cute

This game is sooo cute and I absolutely love the design and themeing. I do wish that there was more of a game aspect where you could earn certain things to add to your character over a long period of time, that way I won’t inevitably get bored of a timer. And I do wish you could shuffle the playlists when playing out of Apple Music. But I got FocusTraveller a couple days ago and it’s already helped me so much best study timer out there.

Would 100% reccomend

I have ADHD and diagnosed depression, which makes it hard for me to focus on things I need to do. The deep focus keeps me off of my phone, which can be a way for my mind to “escape” my responsibilities.

Overall I love FocusTraveller. The visuals and music are gorgeous, and I love seeing the little characters move along with me.

The only thing I would love to see happen in FocusTraveller is for there to be more options for the music while focusing. For example, Audible, Apple Podcasts, and more. The majority of the time I’m focusing I prefer to listen to a podcast, but it’s disappointing to see there isn’t an option for that in FocusTraveller .

Very cute

The aesthetic is cute and I like that we can connect music to FocusTraveller . I wish that the timer would allow us to change it to count down instead of counting up.

It would also be great to see if there was an automatic break session for pomodoro studying. Right now, you have to tap on the character to rest and that’s fine but if I’m hyper focused on studying it would be nice if FocusTraveller reminded me to rest. I’ll probably just set smaller study sessions to get that affect.

BEST APP EVER

I’ve tried a LOT of focus and study apps, but could never find one that got me interested! But then, I found FocusTraveller! It’s perfect for me! I love the graphics, the colors relax me and the art style is very calming and has a charm to it! I also love the way FocusTraveller is designed so it’s not too complicated to use! The timer works perfectly and really gets me to push myself! I also love they options of characters and background music/ sound effects. If you want an app that can get you motivated and in the habit of doing something DOWNLOAD FocusTraveller RIGHT KNOW!

Creative

This is something quite new and I love the initiative. Thank you guys. The only problem is the background which should be moving opposite the traveler’s movement, is moving in the same direction. That makes it look annoying for me 😃and because of that it doesn’t look like traveler makes progress.

One more addition I would like to make— It would be awesome if statistics also added. I would like to see how much time I spent during the day, week or on each project and etc. That is the main shortage of FocusTraveller .

Wow

I have chronic pain, complex post, traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, physical health she is including malnourishment caused over two years because of mistake by doctor so that has also left me with cognitive impairments to say that my ADHD and anxiety were bad before an understatement, looking back in hindsight, I was like two and no I don’t think I fit under 100 no drugs work for me. I’ve tried them all and all the maxes and yeah just listen to FocusTraveller for about a minute and 58 seconds and I was able to breathe just a little bit to the living developers You are my genie .🧞‍♀️💨

Finally An Original Pomodoro App

I love the idea of FocusTraveller and hope for more features. I bought the life time version almost immediately because I love the character art coupled with the unique premise.

It's a timer app with characters! There's a sense of you being on an adventure into the unknown. This is way better than some others where you're just collecting tomatoes, or trees. This feels deeply personal. There's brief respits by setting up a tent or bonfire.

I want the following features and will list them as user stories for the dev team.

As a user, I want more resting animations so I can have variety on my break time. Like have my character make smores, fish, show them setting up a tent or fire, reading a book, skipping rocks, etc.

As a user, I want a note section during breaks so I can have a more personal journey I can reflect back on in the future.

As a user, I want unlockable hats for my character to wear so I can customize my them.

Overall FocusTraveller is a treasure. Great job!

Perfect for body doubling and calm music

I adore FocusTraveller! I love the group work feature, I love the recorded notebooks, and I love the intuitive user interface.
FocusTraveller strikes just the right balance of enough features and gamification to make it interesting without over exaggerating the gamification into a distracting, unhelpful territory.
I think that FocusTraveller works great even as just a pomodoro timer or a soundscape / white noise tool.
However, the feeling of being on a journey with a little digital avatar helps you feel not so alone and intimidated by your work— just as the character can and will reach the summit eventually, so too will you :)

love it :)

I've only been using FocusTraveller for a few days, but I'm really enjoying the interface and the different features! I paid for the full version and I'm super motivated to keep focusing so my study buddy can keep traveling!!! The season feature isn't changing for me and I'm wondering if this happening for other users as well. Overall, it's a minute detail and everything else involving FocusTraveller is very useful, especially the widgets!!
