The idea of PikmykidParent is great! But I just think it needs to be expanded a little more. It asked for a lot of information but it doesn’t seem to utilize in the application of PikmykidParent /program. Both parents should have full access and if for some reason a child isn’t picked up on time, notification should go immediately to the other parent and emergency contacts. I know it just really seems like it says when the chow was picked up but there’s no notification if the child is not picked up by the parent that was supposed to pick them up. Not sure if that’s left up to the school to do but having an app for something like this would feel more assuring if you got a notification for any of the important notices for your child, pick up or no pick up. So you know your child is not standing out somewhere alone etc. because if not then the other parent is counting on hearing from the parent picking up the child which makes the notification a moot point if you still have to do all of that work. If something happens to the parent picking up the child, such as a car accident, which may leave them on able to call, at least the other parent (& emergency contacts ) knows something is off if they are busy at work.

PikmykidParent isn’t all the way there, why it’s chosen for any school beats me. PikmykidParent is glitchy, have had the white screen issue mainly, the issues seem to mostly stem in the delegation tab. When signing up as a delegate the process for adding a child is insanely complex and often times doesn’t work. PikmykidParent overall is incredibly frustrating, and that is coming from a 19 year old studying a bachelors in cyber security. Please consider switching to a different platform if you are a school considering / using this until PikmykidParent is improved. If you are a parent who is signing up to pick up your child, I wish you the best of luck.

So, PikmykidParent … In my opinion, it’s great! For the day that I was allowed to use it, it was convenient and quick to get my kids to the car pibe to be picked up.

My problem is with the school. This is why I didn’t change my rating for PikmykidParent , because I know it works. Problem is, at this point, we have PikmykidParent for nothing. The school turned off the announce feature which allows parents and guardian to call for their kids without giving a number or posting an obstructive card in the window. The school’s reason? Too many parents called their children too early and too many kids were having to walk the car line to find their rides.

No effort was made to re-educate. The school just gave up. Now, this whole push they made to have every parent download PikmykidParent was pointless because they turned off the best feature.

At any rate, great app!

New parents of new kid at school, and only my wife was uploaded into PikmykidParent . I was able to sign up, provide our daughter’s info, and PikmykidParent ’s team connected me in PikmykidParent with our daughter too! Fast response, less than a day, with an email confirmation back to me. Haven’t used PikmykidParent yet, so this rating is based off the support side of things. Thank you again!

It really is crap at very best. It has a tendency to drop off ask you to re-enter all the information from scratch and of course that’s when you were in a car line waiting to pick your child up. Then there’s no provision for a teacher to notify the classroom you’re ready to pick your child up. And with that lack of ability you have confusion and delay, which screws everything up. So I don’t know why Saint Joseph Catholic school of Winter Haven Florida would continue to utilize this application. I know they’re a smart school but they are certainly demonstrating a great deal of stupidity by utilizing this particular application!!!

Had an issue with PikmykidParent . The school and I already got to the bottom of it and it is a problem in PikmykidParent .

Well I emailed the support and they forwarded the whole email chain back to the school (which I did not want). They said it’s a personal issue and not an app issue. The problem is that PikmykidParent Portal on the school end is jacked up and needs fixing. Yet instead of actually looking at the problem they just forwarded to the school and said “this is a personal problem”.

I wish my school would use an app that works and offered support instead of a cop out.

I have been trying to announce for pick up for my child for months and the school not nor customer support have provided any resolution. My child shows up but when you click announce it says no child to announce. It’s really a waste in my opinion if it’s not going to be executed correctly. I am not the only parent at the school having this issue. If it is a school issue the company sees the complaints so they should reach out to the school whom they made the deal with to use and app and educate them on how to fix common errors.

I do not agree to your terms, I do not consent to any of your specifications. Why do you need my email and my phone number? I am forced to use you from the school without any regards of my opinion/wish/agreement. So no, I do not agree to any of your terms of use of your app. The money you get from collecting/selling/using our information to be the reason you will never find peace in your life and the next.

And don’t worry I am taking it up with the school too.

Updated to the lastest version and now I’m not able to log in. Tried resetting my password but the reset email does not come through. Tried using their online chat but it’s just a useless bot. Emailed support, no answer. Tried calling the support number on their website but the number is not in service and no one picks up the other numbers listed. I will highly recommend that my child’s school stop wasting our money on this half baked application!

I love the idea of PikmykidParent, and it would be amazing if it ever worked. Unfortunately, since the day I installed it I have had nothing but trouble. Sometimes PikmykidParent crashes when I open it, other times I just get a white screen. While this is annoying by itself, it is infuriating when I am standing in the rain trying to convince daughters came that I am ,in fact, her father and not trying to kidnap my own child.

Picking up 3 kids and having to say all three different numbers is hard to memorize. There should be like a 4 digit family number that connects to all 3 kids for better convince.

Not sure the purpose of PikmykidParent and why a school would pay to use it. It tells the school you are on the premise but then an administrator from school has to manually tell PikmykidParent your “here” and thus release the child.

Not sure how it’s any better than the admin just calling in when you arrive since they have to punch it into PikmykidParent

Waste of time.

My wife and I were setting up our accounts and mine froze during setup and I can’t complete it and it will not recognize my email to change password but when I try to set up another account it says my email is being used and the phone number is a joke no answer or call back

Not at all user friendly. App doesn’t flow smoothly for a user to use. All I heard on the first day of school were parents complaining how complicated this application was. Who ever designed PikmykidParent clearly didn’t test on regular users

As a user of the previous version I have to say this new ui is better, simple and it works.

PikmykidParent is easy to use and if you have issues the support team is quick and very nice!

I use PikmykidParent for one child and it’s been super easy to use and make changes to her dismissal plans.

Works great with the new version. Interface makes sense now. Does what it’s supposed to do.

My grandson is often picked up at school and I find this an amazing idea! Hastings Malory has it down pat as far as I’m concerned!

Logins fail. Parents don’t show up as authorized. Adding an delegate never shows on the other account. Not sure PikmykidParent does anything except take up space and download your location data. Seems to be more spyware than parent tool.

Only get a white screen when I try to open PikmykidParent .
