minical would be absolutely incredible for what it is considering the features, the design everything that it provides. The banner ads I can live with, however, the full screen un-skippable ads drive me absolutely insane. That completely dissuades any notion that I will ever have to even remotely think about purchasing minical. I understand in games where fullscreen ads provide some sort of reward for playing the game. What kind of backwards thought process involves PLACING UNSKIPPABLE ADS IN A CALENDAR APP. WHERE YOU NEED TO SEE THE CALENDAR AND NOT A 30 SECOND AD? Reconsider your ads. I will never support this business practice.

So far I like it very much. I’ll update after using it a while. It’s very complex but the explanations seem clear. Ok here’s a problem: to write a review you’re supposed to tap a start to give an idea how much you like minical - IT DOES NOT WORK. Said I would update. Still no stars to rate, I’d go down to 2 now. The description of how to do things makes sense but when you go to do it - it is a mess. It took me an half hour to put in an appointment. And it now shows 3 times. Put things in simple language. I was hoping for better
I can’t make anything work like the instructions describe. You make a mistake and don’t we all, I cannot find any way to delete it. The part on editing does not include deleting a mistake and I’m about to just give up

I would have loved to give it 5 stars cause I do love this calendar but even after I paid to upgrade to pro I’m still unable to use some of the features that it says I would be able to use after upgrading such as change font, change text size, change event color, etc. so I’m quite upset I paid quite an expensive prices just to not even get what I paid for. Very disappointed and will be contacting them directly if I have the option. Would not recommend going pro with it cause you may run into this exact same problem and then you just wasted that money for nothing..

I find that I come across glitches with the widget every once and a while. For example, it won’t update the day (for example, it’s a Thursday but it’s stuck on Tuesday) and when I go to add more events, it won’t show up on the widget. I love minical because of the customization it allows you to have but I do come across these issues at times.

I’m picky about general appearances and features I like in a calendar and this one is the best I've found. I love the sleek, minimalist design. I love the detailed month view widget. I work 4 days each week, and my hours are always the same, so I LOVE the way minical allows us to create template events, that way I can quickly stamp my work schedule onto the calendar rather than manually adding ever detail over and over and over and over.

If you use your iPad in portrait mode (tall, like holding an iPhone), then this is hands-down the best calendar app. On desktop, I prefer Rise Calendar, but this is the best for iPad.
I’ve tried over a dozen other calendar apps within the past year, including Cron, Mayday, Morgen, Fantastical, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Tiny Calendar, Calendars 5 by Readdle, etc. — this provides the cleanest experience on iPad, hands down.

I understand that everyone has different preference on how calendar looks, UI, and what kind of features it offers. For me this is the most closest to what I have been looking for after trying around 30 different calendar apps.
Things I liked
1. Not subscription base, but one time payment for the Pro version with reasonable pricing.
2. Month view widget. (Closest to my preferred color/font/size/design)
3. Monthly view with scrollable agenda on the bottom instead of opening each day to check events.
4. Easy to use templates. (Free version offers 2 templates which worked pretty well for me, but having more than that makes my life easier)
5. Copy to multiple dates
This may not meet your needs/wants, but I highly recommend to at least check out this calendar app.

Best purchase I’ve made! Super minimalist while keeping all the functionality of the regular calendar app. And most importantly THE WIDGET! The widget was the whole reason I purchased. It’s good to see your month at a glance. Would love to see the option to change the highlight color for today and maybe an x out feature where all past events are scratched off somehow?
by Brandonluja
No issues so far in the past week that I’ve used it, synced with Gmail, Outlook and stock Calendar. My only issue is that I wish for the widget where it gives you the date then ‘x events’ at the bottom corner, it would actually display the today/upcoming event just like the stock app does. My only gripe with the stock app is that it doesn’t have pure black UI

FINALLY! An efficient, well made, a simple calendar app that does not require a monthly subscription to use all the perks.
this app does have a one-time purchase to remove ads and add some customization features, but the cost for it is about what a month’s subscription costs for most other calendar apps.
As someone who is fed up with subscription models, I will take this deal any day.

minical has great widgets and good design throughout. I love the customizability of fonts, colors, and text size minical has. The fact that there is a monthly calendar widget with full event names on it is great.
For the future, I hope they add a scrolling timeline feature like some of the bigger apps like outlook and fantastical have, but otherwise I’m very happy with it.

I love this calendar app! I’ve been looking for what feels like forever to have a nice looking calendar widget on my home screen that has a whole month view, AND shows the events for each day. My one suggestion is to be able to add more colors for the event type! Right now it’s red, blue, green, and yellow - and adding more would allow for more personalization.
by FunkBass85
Awesome app. Finally an app that offers multiple reminders for an event, is aesthetically pleasing, and does not require a subscription. minical is incredibly intuitive and simple to use, less of a learning curve than Apple’s Calendar app. Love it! I happily paid the pro fee. I did not need the extra features but I will happily support any developer who’s moved away from a subscription model!

I absolutely love how you can add this to your Home Screen in multiple different ways. I work in healthcare so my schedule is always different. I have the current month and then the following month and it’s the best! Love the ability to customize and love that it’s only a 1 time fee for the pro version. No monthly fees!!!
by Jezzzzzebel
minical is absolutely the perfect calendar app for me. Its interface is charming and the full month view is so readable and simple. The cluttered feeling other iOS apps give you in their monthly overview is nowhere to be found. I also really love that the pro version allows you to resize the text if you desire. And of course the WIDGET OPTIONS? Perfect. So grateful I found this little app, I’m quite surprised it’s not more near the top of the search list.

After realizing that native Apple apps work best for my productivity, I still wasn't content with the user interfaces and widget options of Apple Calendar or Google Calendar. I also didn't want to purchase subscription based services like TickTick or Moleskin just for their aesthetic calendar view. This is the calendar app I've been searching for, and I'm incredibly thankful it's available for a one-time purchase as I'm trying to avoid subscription-based services. I feel seen by minical! Thank you developers for creating the ideal calendar app. I seldom feel compelled to write a review immediately after a purchase, but minical truly deserves one. Will be raving about this to my other friends!

Genuinely had given up hope because I had downloaded 7 other calendar apps trying for the life of me to find something that I could store and be reminded for my appointments, but something aesthetically pleasing to look at as well because I wanted to be able to have the a widget on my home screen. This is absolutely perfect, and within the first 10 minutes of having minical got the pro version at a one time cost so it has double the features. You can customize your set up to your personality or preferences, there’s an abundance of options. I love the way it looks when I’m in minical , and exactly what I had in my when looking for a calendar app. Thank you so much to the creator. 🫶🏼

I’ve tried so many different calendars apps and this one is the winner! Even without paying for Pro, it does everything I need it to, syncs to multiple different calendars and allows me to create events within different calendars (shared and non shared), and it has a simple interface that is easy to navigate.
I did end up paying for Pro, which in my opinion is very worth it and I love that it’s a one time purchase. I enjoy customization like font and colors, so that’s the main reason I did it but it’s not necessary if you’re looking for basic features.
If you’re frustrated with Apple Calendar.. download this asap!!!

I like the two week calendar view on the Lock Screen, it is very minimalist as the name implies, and shows a line under days with events. Adding events, editing, templates and url preview within events is nice and streamlined. A good companion calendar app that works well alongside more full-featured calendar apps.
Pro version removes ads for one time purchase, and is worth it because the ads are very intrusive. minical is updated multiple times a week which is a bit suspicious (what could they possibly be updating other than ad or tracking packages).

I love this calendar. It’s a real break from overloaded, bloated offerings and yet is SO functional. This is worth a look for anyone who lives by their calendar!
I have two wishes that would make it perfect in my mind:
1. I wish that if you were to swipe left or right on the schedule part it would advance by one day in the appropriately direction. Right now, it is somewhat jarring that when you’re looking at a schedule for a Tuesday in the middle of the February and you swipe to go to the next day, you end up on March 1.
2. I wish there were some way, even if it were just a brief view, to be able to see a day schedule that shows open spaces. Sometimes it’s just difficult to know where you have openings when you’re only looking at it in a scheduled view. To have this option would mean I wouldn’t need any other calendar at all.

this app offers a few features that make reviewing your calendar and quickly adding events feel effortless. The widgets offer an information density and layouts that perfect for scanning (e.g. the 3-day or 5-day week view). And event templates make it so easy to define known types of events so you can add them with basically two taps (e.g. I regularly schedule checkins with people that have a known duration, but sometimes the time changes; I can have the duration, location, and invitees already in the template).
by Theqwertydays
Downloaded many apps and this one is by far the best looking one a big bonus is that you get a whole lot of colors too to organize your calendar. I small thing that I would like to see changed is that when there is only one event that has 2+ words, I would like to see it use more likes so it can display more of the event on the widget.
But this is by no means a deal breaker. Even if this doesn’t get incorporated this will still be my everyday calendar app

I was searching for a calendar app, I downloaded more than 5 apps and this is absolutely the best in everything.
I wish they add countdowns somewhere either in the widgets or in the calendar itself when we click on an event it shows how many days remaining. It shows the event on the widget buy limited to one month and it shows the date only not the remaining days.
Overall, minical is very good and I recommend using it.

I’ve tried many calendar apps and I’m so happy this one that finally works with my brain. I love that it syncs with Apple calendar so when I have an event in my email it will automatically go to this app. I bought the premium version and am so happy I did. I hope to see more colors and themes in the future. 🙂

I searched over 20+ calendar apps witheach having different features but not ones to my liking. The widgets are outstanding with so many options and can choose different language, the events added change with the widgets, and the design is so easy to understand and just a perfect app.

minical is beautiful. There is something aesthetically wonderful about it that I can’t put my finger on. The settings let you customize all of the right things. There is only one calendar view and it’s the perfect one. I’m so grateful to the developer for creating this work of art.

I really do love minical. I like that it integrates with Google Calendar very easily. My favorite thing about minical is all the widgets I can apply to my home screen on my iPad or my phone and there’s so many options to view my schedule. My favorite is I can view my schedule, In a week or three days or current/past/ future month or a running 4 week calendar that shows current week with next four week. Way more to love than google calendar. I do wish they could incorporate list view of calendar and be able to make the font size smaller to view my schedule the whole week instead of just 4 days. Also feel like this would do well with scheduling a list to do (would make it extra special)

I have literally never written a review for an app but I feel like this one doesn’t have a lot of reviews yet so I decided to! It is SO CUTE and organized the perfect way!! I could never find a good calendar app until this one and I’m obsessed. I love the widgets too!! It’s also so nice to look at which makes me super happy.

Outstanding weather app with so many options for widgets. Feature request:Would love and option for a tiny weather and temperature icon for all the widgets. Would also be amazing to choose the background color tint and transparency on the widgets.

I absolutely love minical. It does everything that I was looking for…….from having a full calendar view as a widget to being able to easily add events. AND it’s only a one time charge if you want to go pro versus a monthly charge like everyone else.
