I loved the lessons and the extra meditations/videos. However, for the price and it being a three month subscription, there were only 28 lessons. I would have liked it much more if I had received 90 lessons, one for each day of the three months. After the 28 days, you are just asked to check in each morning and evening. Although that requires accountability, I could have set a timer on my phone a lot cheaper.

I had lost my brother to covid, I found myself coming up against the friction of covid being a constant conversation (news, small talk, social media, etc.) while also holding space for the loss inside. I was exhausted and tired, and truly hurting and needed some extra support. I’d read online about this app so I thought I’d try it out. I had no expectations and was also skeptic, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The exercises helped me wrap my head and heart around things. It gave me a space to open up to myself about my own grief. And to slow the spinning world down enough to make space for this new reality. It’s been a couple months since I finished the program and I truly truly feel it helped me process a sudden and painful loss while also living in a politicized global health crisis. The app gave me a place to connect and process. If you are seeking ways to support yourself as you process your loss, I would absolutely recommend this app. It without a doubt helped me process and was worth the time and effort. Losing someone we love can be so overwhelming and lonely at times. But there is hope, even in an app on your phone. And it does help. ❤️

I am feeling better from working through the Grief Works sessions. I’ve done 15 of the 28 so far and watched 5 of the suggested grief movies. My husband died 10 months ago. I was doing much to face my grief and give it space yet still mired in the dense heavy weight of grief debilitating my motivation and energy. I realized I needed more structure and this app has helped bring me perspective. Sounds simple yet if you know grief you know nothing is simple in the weight of grief. And everything takes more energy and more recovery time. Grief work is hard. It’s painful. It’s necessary for survival. It’s part of life. It sprouts new life with hope. And that is energizing. This app is well designed, reasonably priced, and worth the valuable work it inspires. YOU are worth the work. When you are ready. Every bit has helped me towards being present and returning myself to me. Well done Julia and all the team that makes this app a success. Thank you!
