What? Well, the game ain’t broken but I hate opening it up now. Before I could see all the cities on the left and easily go between them. Now, there is a world map that I have to scroll through or move through to find the city I want. Just look at my, and what I’m sure is the majority, play and active time sense that change. Goodness…. I’ll be checking back in every few days to see if they revert back to the old method of moving through cities. (I’m sorry to the graphics or guy that was so excited about showing a world map) Update again to the Dev who keeps asking me go change my review. You have broken the game for me. It is arduous, cumbersome, frustrating, annoying, and down right rediculous to play now with this new global map and trying to navigate between cities. Update: no developer I will not update my review. I have not played the game since the new world map portion was introduced. It is too difficult to navigate between Ports easily and quickly. Update to Dev #2: No, I will not update my rating until you change back the global map that makes it slow and cumbersome to move between ports. Update to Dev #3: I’m sorry I stand explain myself better. There is not an issue with my game. It is working fine but you made it worst when you updated to a Global Map that I have to scroll around on between cities. Previously all the ports were listed on the side.

Lots of reasons like asks you to have 123 of something to complete task..but only makes 120. So now I have to take the time to make another 120 for just 3 and then I have to store them, which takes up space or delete them ( and every time I do that they put that item back up but never if I keep it) they just want you to spend money. Takes to customer service and told me they won’t do anything because they feel it’s fine, aka we make money and don’t want to make it enjoyable for you. Deleted and won’t play if of this companies games.

This game is absolutely fun until you run into glitches and cannot continue. I wrote to them about the first gems disappearing glitch, but there doesn’t seem to be a way for them to respond. I keep checking in my settings area where I sent my message to support, but no response. Now I have run into issues with not being able to access the screen to collect my rewards and all other jobs are saying cannot access area. I have reloaded game as well as tried their suggestion to deal with this glitch, but nothing seems to help. I am at a point where I cannot continue. But I absolutely loved this game up until this point. Ok. So waiting one day seemed to let me access my finished rewards. I am upgrading from a one star bummer, to four. I know the developers are working hard, i do wish there was better communication.
Updated april 11, 2024. Looks like they fixed the last issue although no communication. But now the glitches are I have to reinstall each time I want to go to the Suez Canal, otherwise it says cannot go at this time. Very bummed. Game is pretty cool except for this current problem right now.

This game could be a lot of fun but it’s hard to advance without spending a ridiculous amount of money or a stupid amount of time. After the first 10 or so levels every task takes an hour to complete, in which you can do nothing but wait. The ads are constant to obtain any of the required items and rewards. Many of the ads cannot be dismissed and constantly force you to PortCity Store multiple times before you can finally exit them. So much potential for a fun game that has unfortunately been ruined by greedy developers. Music is repetitive and super annoying and sound effects are lacking when music is turned off. Interface is so busy with all the money grabs and attempts to force you into linking it to your social media. Super frustrating.

It’s a well thought out game and I actually enjoy playing it. Unfortunately there are glitches in the game for me. I’ve made a few purchases when I started playing and unfortunately twice I did not receive what I was supposed to receive and I contacted support and they both times claim that I did get what I was supposed to …now I have noticed a few little glitches like you were supposed to watch a video to receive certain bonuses and sometimes I have to watch the video three times before I get the bonus little things like that that made the game let’s enjoyable for me maybe it’s just me that is happening too but when I spend my money I expect to get what I pay for so unfortunately that means I can’t spend anymore money in this game

Triggered a tutorial step at level 10, creating an endless crashing loop that can’t be avoided. Upon load, game saw the trigger, started walking through the steps and said I had earned a free container ship. Forces you to click on the steps with no way to exit out of the tutorial. Eventually lands you on selecting the alleged free ship container, but it costs 150 gems. Game says you don’t have enough gems when you select where it wants you to select (no other option possible) and please restart. Rinse and repeat. There is literally no action possible when you reload other than going through the level 10 tutorial that is broken. Can’t even purchase gems to get past the step. The game only allows going through the tutorial. Really disappointing.

This looked so promising !
The first hours of playing the game was fast and you were building and suppling and creating a logistics process and kept me interested…..somewhere around level 8 or so…..the action died. Missions became 1 hour long with nothing to do but wait for your boats. Then missions allowed only certain types of boats for an hour. Can’t choose the boats you want to buy. Eventually it becomes a game BUY more gems or be bored to death….so nice job building the game…too bad you killed my interest with all the slow game play and real money play to win crap.

I know that games are developed in order to obtain profits or royalties but in truth it is very unfair that you have to buy boats of legendary quality in each city, it is good that they limit the variations of boats in each city but restrict the boats in each city. So it is mandatory to buy gems or packages of boats to be able to have legends in each city, developers what happens? Really? Also the fact of not placing to buy more captains permanently is good to pay by the hour for some, I understand that but they must have the option for others to buy definitively. The limitation that everything is paid will make the players stop playing, they must adapt not think only monetarily.

Game put out by the same guys that came up with “Train Station” so it has the same structure -idea, only with ships now. But, unlike train station, this one is extremely disorganized and it feels like they don’t want to put the time into making it right. In train station, the warehouse is connected, you can navigate from one factory to the next, if you need lumber, you can hit a left ot right arrow and go to the mill, or the blade factory, or any other ones.. Here, you have to exit each time, go to a different screen, guess what you need, so chaotic…. So sad because it could have been an entertaining game instead of this pile of mess…

I loved this at first. But it’s a little confusing, and the question marks that lead to answes that are supposed to help you don’t really help much as they’re too basic. It’s really easy to spend a lot of money in this game. But! Progress happens, and you get to see a lot of ships. I probably won’t play very long because the temptation to buy ships and stuff is too strong for me. This is why I’ve quit a lot of otherwise fun games.

Overall I like this game. But after third map unlocked, it takes too much coins and parts to upgrade your ships. Especially with coins, less and less mission for you to get coins and each mission only gives 30 something coins and upgrade your ship take 200 plus coins for each level. Unless you pay in the game to get more coins. I don’t know how much longer for me to upgrading a ship from level 4 to 10. Please consider improve this problem. I think it will bring much better gaming experience. We need more coin bonus!

If you’ve played TrainStation2, this app will feel familiar…too familiar. From the same interface to the same materials for each region, to the same disappointing drop rates from all crates, Port City is essentially TrainStation2 but with boats.
I wish Pixel Federation would have spent time making Port City a more unique experience.
If you’re not already familiar with TrainStation 2, stop and ask yourself which theme you like better: boats or trains, and choose your game accordingly. When you do, you’ll get a fairly relaxed tycoon gaming experience that is pretty easy to grasp. When competitions are on, there’s even an element of strategy to the gameplay.

As someone who is quite willing to help pay the bills by watching the ads, but utterly unwilling to pay directly for pretend merchandise (like in game money, keys, and other credits) that advances play, I suggest that some of the bottlenecks be opened a bit so that the game doesn’t get bogged down and boring.
Accumulating game money is too slow compared to other features. Either provide some means other than getting it from each port every four hours (like making it possible to make a choice of selling ships or products) or increase the payout from each city or decrease the refresh rate.
I would also suggest that “improvements” to ships or a higher level of a ship might increase their speed by lowering the transit times for any run.

As long as you can get a good range of different ships in each area the game is very enjoyable. Jobs and other game play is challenging without being obnoxious. Expect to spend some time in game as well as needing to leave it alone to let jobs finish. You will watch a lot of ads but get good rewards like doubling rewards for watching. My big complaint with the ads is that they allow the ads to close the game and open PortCity Store. Other games don’t allow that. So minus 2 stars until they fix that.

Follow up: My complaint is not with ads not working. Neither have I had an issue with why an advertisement is in a game situation. I have a great issue with certain ads like Royal Match and Merge Mansion that without any option will close the game and open PortCity Store set to their app. This is unacceptable and unnecessary for any ad to do. Your game is the only app I use that allows this. It can and should be stopped by programming and/or policy. That is why my rating is downgraded.

First, of all if we have identical ships we are only offered the opportunity to dismantle one for parts instead of being offered the opportunity to merge said ships together. For example merging two identical fully built out level 30 ships in order to get a single 60 level ship as a result. Or using the statistics of the new identical vessel to push another that is still unperfected, towards it's maximum level of accomplishment.

It’s becoming like every other application why is there an update every couple days when there’s no real change in the game or any feature I’m tired of loading the game to be greeted by the oh have to update sign it will be deleted soon if this keeps up I just wanna play the game not update it every couple days it’s getting annoying..

Hello, I’ve been playing the game for a few days now and it’s quite enjoyable but, I would love for the RMS Queen Mary to be added and possibly an England location otherwise I’m having fun playing this, Also if you do intend on adding it just note the 1936 version of the ship is what I’d like to be added since the current day version is much different

I’ve loved pixel federation games but they’re not fixing their games anymore. Train station 2 took forever to be fixed and now I play this game and can’t even get past level 3 because it froze. I can zoom in and out on the map but can’t move around. So I’m stuck. It’s just a bummer these games are super fun.

I enjoy playing this game a lot but the global jobs that were recently added on is stupid. I can’t fulfill the jobs because you only have like an hour to complete it before the job expires. It seems like every time I open the game I have to wait four hours before I can start the jobs.

Has held my attention longer then any game of it’s type In I don’t know how long. Not to challenging at the start which is always good with a gradual increase that keeps you interested. Money is not issue early on yet reasonable as you continue. Great look with a solid experience while playing
