It is clear and obvious that if you don’t spend to but the premium version of the game the odds will forever be stacked against you. You could have a 99 overall team and still get swept in the first round by a 76 overall team. Its obvious they just want you to spend money otherwise they will simply rig the game and it will take you 30 in game years to win a championship even when you have a 90+ overall team every year. Its pathetic that the devs won’t allow necessary features in their game unless you pay. The game isn’t that good anyway and I only played it to see how rigged the free version of the game is. The AI logic is horrible, trade logic is horrible. The simulation is trash and doesn’t make any sense. Go find a different gm game, because there are plenty that are better then this piece of hot garbage.

This game is fun but there are lots of issues with it. For one, it’s essentially impossible to ever have a franchise that isn’t in complete debt, because the facility costs are so extreme that you can only earn money by reaching the yearly goal. And since yearly goal rewards decrease in value over time, the team is always inevitably going to be in extreme debt.

Secondly, there are little problems here and there that I’ve noticed are not present in the football game by the same developer. For example, cpu always drafts in the order of the draft, never taking high development trait players that should be higher in value, or positions of need. Also whenever I cut a “toxic player” I get a news blast that I signed him. Lastly I can never fulfill the “path to glory” because the game doesn’t believe I trained a player. If these issues can be remedied, this game would be a 5/5.

Back when this game was first released I loved it I played it so much and I really found it interesting how it was so simple yet fun to build a dynasty and one this I really enjoyed was GM legends. I got super into fining what I considered the perfect seed and trying to rebuild 1 year championships in GM legends but nowadays it’s not even possible to rebuild on extreme without spending some sort of money. The AI’s all get the best gear which ruins the trade values of the game and makes it so that you cant trade a 5 star or 4 star to a team with the premium gear because it would literally give them a superstar but their trade value won’t reflect that. I love the new additions the game made such as gear and other things but the way they made the AI pay to win ruins the game for me and there’s so much content I would love to explore with this game that I cant because I know I there’s no point in rebuilding past 7-8 years. I wish they would just remove the AI having premium gear that’s my one and only complaint about the game but it really ruins every aspect of the game I wish they would do this for all there games such as FOOTBALLGM as well. Again I truly loved playing this game but I don’t want it to be just a memory I want to experience it again

I love gm style games and this one has potential. I think this game should consider adding a mode where the games are day to day. With 1 game each day at a set time it will give it more of a season type feel and add a more interesting approach to game preparation each day. This can be be done as P v CPU ,or P vP. It would also be nice if you made a way for players to communicate and build communities within the game, with the ability to conduct our own leagues/ Associations. Also I don’t know if you can but could be get a 2D top view of the live game. This would make you game better than any other game easily. A game like this existed but it disappeared I played for 3 years straight. Please take this seriously!!!!!

Possibly the best basketball GM sim game you’ll find. It’s really deep, and has everything you could want from this kind of game. So what’s the catch? Well of course, money. If you don’t spend a penny (I got the premium upgrade as I usually love the devs work, think it was like $2.99) you will never get top level players on your team. The system which asks you to make play styles is the road block. For most players you’ll need upwards of 70k training points to restyle ONE of the two options you need to get a cohesive team. This is ridiculous considering you get about 40k total training points during a whole season until you level up your facility past level 4. Good game, but locking key gameplay behind a pay barrier is shady. Took a 5 star game to 3 instantly. The worst part is there is no way to change the other currency into training points. Currently I have about $3B in funds for my team but I have no way of using that to obtain more training points to make my team better. I could talk about this all day, but I’ll save my thumbs.

TLDR: your 5 star players are trash until you restyle them to fit your system, which is nearly impossible to do without spending real money.

They shouldn’t be so difficult to obtain, at end of the season you only get a small amount you can barely do any training with it. I hate having to feel as though I need to put money into a game for it to be fully enjoyed.

Update: I put money into the game nothing crazy just a few dollars and after grinding 11 seasons and having 100 overall players I’ve only won the championship once. This game is ridiculous, I don’t understand how lower overall teams would beat me in the playoffs or my 100+ overall players only scoring 10 points on 3/4 shooting when they have the shooter trait active and leveled up. The algorithm of the game is so questionable it’s mad the game no longer enjoyable and I have since deleted it. I wish I could get my money back.

It meets all of the expectations you’d have for a basketball GM game but a lot of random parts are pretty nonsensical, coaches styles can make a really big difference but only if your OC/DC/CC matches up with your head coach so any individual style does nothing and you can’t scout coaches for some reason which means signing coaches is a bigger gamble than drafting players, team chemistry is never explained well and just doesn’t seem to make sense, and if you put a player on the trade block you’ll get interest but teams won’t actually offer you trades so you just have to guess what they’d be willing to give up, and players are limited to one position at a time only which is dumb in today’s position less game. Also randomly tells you you’re missing players at a certain position at least two or three times a season even when you’re not forcing you to sign players at that position for no reason because you can’t advance at all

I find the idea of the game to be great. It provides the gm experience with some challenge. I wish the different coaching systems had more details in reference to effects and what kind players work better. For example zone may work better with more shooter traits etc. What I don’t understand is some losses that occur. After making many trades and adjustments through years I built #1 overall and chemistry team. Yet my team still loses in the first round twice without any injuries occurring. It doesn’t make sense. How could my team lose to a lower overall team with nonexistent chemistry. I understand that upsets occur but not like that especially without injury.

In response to that i will everybody on my for most part has high intelligence and personalities. Without this it’s had to change system and negotiate good contracts. The bench plays about 9 minutes max but most of them are system matches as well and some top picks to replace older stars. There obviously in a small downside to my bench vs cpu based on their ability to get super discounts on contracts. But the difference between my starters and theirs should even it out or at least give me the edge because that’s most of the minutes. 3 of my core starters were 90 to 100+ in stamina and free throws. For a moment only team with 4 players in top 15. I had mvp and dpoy. But still lost to a 83 overall team with no chemistry.

Love the game, but sometimes when the AI drafts they make some of the stupidest draft choices. On multiple occasions I’ve seen teams with 3 5 star players all playing the same position, because the AI will just keep on drafting that position for some reason. I just had this happen to me where there were 3 players at the top of the draft board, a shooting guard, a point guard and a small forward that were all 5 star potential and B+ overall. There was also another 5 star center down the board. The team needs a pg, sg, or C, and they already have 2 small forwards who are 5 star potential and young. Instead of taking one of the positions of need, like a sg or pg who were right there at the top of the board with the sf, they drafted the sf. It honestly just makes zero sense.

I spent so much time on UltimateProBasketballGM it’s the best GM simulator app. It’s as close as an app can get to MyGM on NBA2k. There’s only one thing that I wish could be changed. It’s upsetting that each time you make a new league you have a around a 75 overall team, bad coaches, the first pick, etc. I wish that there was a mode where you can see what the teams overall is. If I were able to pick an 85 overall team and get like the 20th pick for example, it would be fun to mix it up. It’s a great game, but I don’t always want a total rebuild. It’s not that hard of a game but it is annoying that it usually takes 3-5 seasons until my team is good. I get it it makes the game feel more genuine and real, but it would also be nice to have a team that is instantly pretty good.

I loveeee this game i play it every day and ik making the game is a lot harder then we think but if there’s any way you could get it to where we can customize minutes bc i have players who are 88 on my bench getting 10-14 min max and like i can’t switch his position bc he cant replace another position as a starter bc he’s low and also i don’t want to have to force my rookies to play 35-40 min so they can get actual PT i feel like it would add a lot more depth to the game and and a new perspective on it and how we’re able to be a better GM and make the game better to me that’s the only thing i would like this game to have is customizable minutes for the players.

I have played almost all of the games in this series and love them all, however you’ll realize after you get good enough, there is a very clear ceiling you can hit. After you succeed and win the championship enough times around four other teams get a bonus of about +5. So they are all so much better than your teams making it that you literally can’t win. I know it’s to incentivize the player to but a higher gear but this makes success almost impossible, and every year you spend all this time drafting and signing and trading for this incredible team, and you get beat in the semi-finals by a team fiver overalls worse than you. Please stop this mechanic that debilitates your ability to win.

first off i love the game i play it everyday competitively online and i play the football game as much as i play this one ive been playing for years and i really love the game with that being said with the rise of the wnba i would love if u guys implement a feature in the game where players can switch between the wnba and the nba versions of the game i think that would be amazing and it will help others play as much as i do not asking for a whole lot bc i think all the games are fantastic im still trying to get the hang of college football but i love all the games frm soccer to hockey i just feel like there should be a way to switch frm the nba to the wnba thats all

This game is amazing! I am so addicted. This game has everything you could ask for. This is probably my favorite app on my phone. Players actually take time to develop and don’t just walk in as a 99 overall. I just love this game. The only thing I can think of that would make this rating an 11/5 would be if the legends of your franchise didn’t have to spend their entire career on the team. Think of LeBron. When he retires he will have his number retired for every team he played for. Miami, Cleveland, Los Angles. If the developers could add this I would be very happy. Thank you for such a phenomenal (and challenging) game!

This game is beautiful. As with any game it could be improved with minor changes, but overall they nailed it on this one. I’ve played the other games, the newer ones, but the original feeling never comes as much as when I play this one. Several reviews talk about how it’s a “money pit” or you’re “set up for failure”. The game has its ins and outs, as you learn it you slowly start to realize how you can turn your entire organization around in the first year or two, even in the more difficult modes. Overall this game is a must try if you’re into the sports management sim game genre. Great job devs!

The ONLY thing I would like to see added to this game and the others is a CAREER MODE! I’d pay good money for that. Also if you enjoy the game, premium is 100% worth paying for, as I have it on all of the games.

This game is so much fun. Starting on easy difficulty helped me learn everything while keeping the challenge low. Managing your team in the early stages is difficult and once you get your core group of guys, keeping them together with the salary cap is interesting. There is a lot of depth in this game that keeps me hooked. One thing I think could be changed to make it more realistic is the COTY and GMOTY. It is always given to the team that wins the League Championship. While that is a valid reason tp win the award, it would be nice to see the devs change it up to award COTY or GMOTY to the team that made a huge improvement in success judging from the previous season.

This game is super fun to play and I already have hours invested into this game. I will say I would like to see the contracts of lower rated players to become more realistic. I don’t think a 72 overall is worth 15 million, and I also think the draft could possibly have diamonds in the rough type players maybe players drafted in the 2nd round but have great potential and lastly I would like to have a bit more control of my lineups and players minutes and possibly creating play types so we could have an idea of how players play( 2-way, defender, scorer, all-around, etc.) other than that great game.

Hey! I been playing the game around a month and loved playing it. Over the game a few issues have been with me. First, I feel like that every 7-9 years, a BLTV deal would happen giving A. higher cap and B. more finance just like in real life such as in 2016 in the real NBA. I also feel that the cap should just go 5% (inflation) every year and that players will also scale their salaries with that. I wish that injuries weren't happening every 72 seconds even when my facility is around 4-6 with players that have a high injury resistance. I'm thinking that some teams depending on location should start with a higher cap and better reputation in the base game (no premium) as example on how an LA team has the same ability to get players and have cap to a Baltimore team, If we're playing legend mode the game difficulty would remove some teams for obvious reasons. This game is great but these issues (as a f2p player) would be great for this game.

Been playing the game for 1-2 years, and my favorite aspect is the replay-ability. I can forget about UltimateProBasketballGM for a week or so and come back to a rebuild/retooling with a fresh set of eyes, or simply start a new game. The daily missions and GM Overall with path to glory provide fun goals to always aim for when playing.

One thing I’ve noticed removed in the recent update is the ability to see the Leagues staff. I find it harder to see which coaches are expiring, being forced to click on each team individually. Would love to see the easier menu option added back in some form!

A feature that was added recently that I liked was the ability to scout prospects in the actual draft. I think the same can be added for the trade screen. Currently, I have to back out and find the player I’m interested in on said team, and then re-enter the trade.

Overall you all have created fun products and I look forward to future updates!

PLEASEEEEEEE make it more possible to find better coaches. Making trades for players and drafting is great. It takes some skill and some foresight which is really balanced and fair. The only issue is the coach g and staff. It’s practically a miracle when a half decent coach appears which I understand, you aren’t gonna find a great coach that needs a job all the time. But it feels almost impossible to get over that hump without one. You also can’t poach coaches to my knowledge so unless I just missed that I’m stuck as a playoff first rounder with a 76 overall 3 star coach. Just make the odds a little bit for likely or at least bring back the upgrades. Please anything at all to move the staffing. Or maybe just make it so that the staff can be less impactful. Matching the styles is already a dream crusher and if you start with low rep you are doomed to coast for 5 years straight as a garbage no chance team with no chance of getting big players. Anything to help with the staff would be so appreciated.
