I have to let you know I’ve used Bumper for a long time and loved it. I work in the auto hail repair industry and all my reps use it. Until now. In the last month there seems to be a glitch and I can no longer scan a VIN or manually enter a license plate number without getting an error. We used to use it to find the value of a vehicle but now it is useless. I have sent several messages to tech support and their response is to use chrome operating system. If you are not compatible with iPhone, you shouldn’t have an app in the Apple App Store. Steer clear of this one till they fix the bug. My next message will be to Apple.

I have been using this application for almost two months. A vast majority of the VIN’s I run come back with inaccurate information. I run the VIN with this app and they are decoded listing the wrong engines, makes, models, etc. I then run the VIN with NHTSA free VIN decoder and the information is accurate. If this app cannot get something so simple as a VIN decoded then you cannot trust the rest of the information they provide.

I purchased it for three months but it was not worth it information is not what I needed, gives a genetic information about cars and pictures from other cars that may not be related and the information I needed wasn’t available

They make you think they gonna charge you a dollar at the beginning and when they get your credit card you’re fukd they keep charging you even if you didn’t use their service or didn’t subscribe they will still charge you

Fake advertising, this service has no access to accident database, I tried intentionally many cars that has been in accidents in many parts of the east coast ( which they claim they mostly cover that ) and none of the accidents showed up on this app reports, while it was reported on Carfax and Truevin and bunch of other services, I contacted them to request a refund, they never got back to me… SCAMMERS !!!

I did a trial membership. Numerous attempts to contact customer support to discontinue my association with this company, there is not a human being only a chat bot. Further to chat, but does not respond or understand the text. Seems you’re in this for life. Request for a refund or rebate where it’s always denied. This does not provide values for RVs. Therefore it is of no benefit. Stay away

Process is deliberately convoluted and can only be preformed through a phone call unless you subscribed through iOS, and they accounted for this by making subscriptions through iOS more expensive.

Should be a button on website or app that allows you to unsubscribe like every other modern company’s webpage.

Bumper/ company is horrible!! Very much a bait and hook. They provided absolutely no information on the vehicle I was looking up, I ended up going back to carfax to get said information. Then when you try to cancel the membership (that is not free!!!), it is nearly impossible!!! I found it easier to report to my CC as fraud then it was to get them to cancel the account. Buyer beware. SCAM SCAM SCAM

Con artists. They'll keep charging you monthly even when you only sign up for one record. They'll make it impossible to cancel subscription from the website or Bumper , you'll have to contact them to cancel the subscription. It's almost as if they're trying to rip people off their money.

Seriously wish there was an option for negative “stars”. Never have I had heard of this application. Nor have I been in the market for a vehicle the past 10years. Even if I had been, I would have chosen to use an actual reliable source to search. Some how though I have been signed up for these services and continually charged for something I have never used.

I want everyone to know that if you type in “where in your state ex.(ca) you vehicle is impounded” first thing that pops up is this app. After you pay whatever you pay for Bumper . It only tells you date and state. No other info. Is givin. I think this is total trickery since I typed in ca. to start with. All info given in report can be found on other sites for free. Giant waste of time and money. So tired of getting tricked by the one who is willing to pay more to be at the top of the search list. My opinion, never download any top 3 apps given on a search.

Bumper is bad.. they charged $14 per month and no option to cancel so I had to ask the bank to cancel future auto payment.. few vins I used it for gave old data and when I went to carmax they showed me as Salvage title when Bumper showed as Clean.. not worth it.. I payed for a year knot knowing coz they just kept charging even when I dint opt for auto payment.

Very hard to cancel subscription. Ended up calling and having to cancel thru an automated message. Took 20 minutes to cancel because all the automated messages kept asking irrelevant questions. App is horrible, services offered is horrible. Plus I believe they sell your information. After 2 minutes of canceling, I was called by a telemarketer in my region with no one on the other line.

Don’t waste your time or money; this app isn’t showing accurate results. I’ve used Bumper for an hour running several VINs. this app missed salvaged cars and accidents. It doesn’t provide maintenance history, owner history, or fleet/rental/corporate/government history.

There is a difference between a cheap price and a good value. this app offers cheap priced reports. It’s clearly not a good value though because of the blatant inaccuracies between this app and it’s competitors.

I wanted to pull a vin on a recreational vehicle. I wasn’t sure if Bumber offered a report so I put a vin in and Bumper made it seem like it did pull information to share on the VIN but I had to pay for it. So I did… then came to the final page and said, sorry no information could be found. Irritated that ai spent $20 for nothing. Just tell the person that before they spend 5 minutes and money that they will never get back.

If you want to cancel, you’re obligated to call on the phone; you can’t cancel the subscription online, let alone through the application. Seriously, who does that in this day and age? Nowadays, everything can be canceled with just a few clicks.”

Website baits you offering “free vin check”. Said vin check takes about 5 minutes to load and then after waiting you are prompted to choose a subscription option. After waiting 5 minutes I figured I might as well just pay, after paying this app says they don’t have any information on the vehicle. Total bait and switch, saying I need to pay to get the info but then they don’t have any. They make it extremely hard to cancel. Can’t warn you enough to NOT buy Bumper.

Bumper’s developers use loopholes to make you think you payed $1 but they are charging you for a hidden subscription. When you try to cancel there is no direct link and are directed to call them. When you call it says “can not complete request” and starts over.

Not a great search compared to car fax but an OK option if you’re looking at 10+ cars and want to initially check before diving deeper with a better search history service such as car fax. Warning though, this apps monthly fee can be tricky to cancel so just call the help line and follow up with an email.

Found a truck for a great price thanks to this app.
