Cannot connect to app

The app takes forever to open. It either A: has the sound turned completely off so you don’t hear anything at all, or B: has the sound at maximum volume immediately so you end up scrambling to turn it down.
But the biggest problem is it’s ability to actually work at all. This app goes down more than any other I’ve ever had, bar none. I mean absolutely constantly. And there’s no rhyme or reason to it, it may work on one phone three feet away and not on yours. It may work one minute and be down the next. And don’t go hoping for answers on their Twitter page or anything, they’ll just respond to every complaint with “we checked, it was a brief outage, DM us if it still doesn’t work.”
Look, I know this isn’t some fancy, top of the line camera system, but it’s still a decent chunk of change, you’d expect for its primary use, some, or even ANY effort would be made into creating a functional app that actually allows you to monitor your child. Nope. Not even a little. The reviews are accurate, anger and frustration at not being able to utilize the monitor aside, this is still the worst app I’ve ever had to download.

If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. We have these cameras throughout our house in order to check on the kids in different rooms as well as see the entrance area to the house. The cameras never seem to connect upon opening the app, when it does it is only 1 or 2 of them. The notification for sound in a baby’s room is hit or miss. All around it is very clear that there is no thought whatsoever into the continued bug fixes and maintenance on this app. If you are looking for a convenient baby monitor with an intuitive and responsive app look elsewhere.

I’ve experienced nothing but headaches and frustration with not only the app and product but also with customer service. The answer always seems to be to “check my wifi” when the vtech app and device are the only items not working in my home. The app constantly logs me out and then says my credentials are incorrect only to finally log me back in days later. I’m officially tossing this garbage and buying another brand. Avoid at all costs!!
