Heartbeat Chat Reviews

I joined an amazing community that was only accessible from the Heartbeat Chat app. The community itself (people/how it was run) is amazing. HeartbeatChat, however, is frustrating and made me leave the community and delete HeartbeatChat .

Most recently, when I went to post a new thread or a comment, HeartbeatChat showed me that it had posted but in actuality never published the comment. On my personal device I could see the comments and posts I shared (no error message etc), but if I asked (via a different app that actually works) whether my community could see it, there was nothing there. Incredibly frustrating - especially for an app that’s supposed to connect people - to feel like I’m invisible.

The Notifications and Activity pages are also suffering huge glitches and don’t refresh. I would get a notification to my phone about a post, then click it, go to HeartbeatChat , head to Activity to locate the actual post, and Activity would have outdated information or be empty. There’s no way to pull down the Activity page to request a refresh…just a frustrating blank page where information should be.

HeartbeatChat is deeply disappointing and frustrating. I do not recommend it.

I am willing to re-download HeartbeatChat and adjust my rating if the developer actually fixes these issues. But for now, HeartbeatChat is a complete waste of time.

I used HeartbeatChat to join an online community and it was awesome. Now, for at least the last week, every time I try to open it, all I see is a white screen. I have tried more than once to delete HeartbeatChat and reinstall it and I still only get a white screen. Hoping Heartbeat will fix this because it’s basically useless now.

HeartbeatChat has a problem with notifications. The red notification on the screen drives me absolutely insane. I’ve tried turning notifications on/off, same for this specific app, I’ve offloaded it, refreshed it, I’ve even removed it completely and downloaded again numerous times and it is STILL THERE. PLEASE FIX

HeartbeatChat stinks. I joined an online community that requires HeartbeatChat. However even though I have an iPhone 12 and the latest iOS 16.4.1, HeartbeatChat does not work at all. It's just one big white screen. I deleted HeartbeatChat , reinstalled it and went through the process that looks like everything went through. However it's still just one big white white screen. Garbage.

I prefer Slack to this. There is way too much padding, causing you to scroll for a mile to see anything.
Notifications are funky and make zero sense. Sometimes they’re delayed, sometimes none show at all.
Inserting images isn’t great either. Slack and Teams are much cleaner.

2/5 would not recommend.

I have experienced a lot of loading issues in the past few weeks. I go into HeartbeatChat but nothing loads! Its extremely frustrating. The screen seems to just freeze as well

Support is non existent so don’t expect any help. HeartbeatChat is ok but they fail to think things thru before release. Eg no proper embedding and can embed vadootv in some places such as desktop but not others such as mobile. Many other issues just not properly considered.

I run a community with Heartbeat and encourage everyone to download HeartbeatChat . It had some bugs initially but works very smooth and quickly now. I’d love to see it resize for iPad in the next version but for now it works great on my phone and my members actually use and like HeartbeatChat - which is the key!

I have tried soooooo many platforms as a user and also a business owner. Heartbeat is my favorite! It's easy to use, my clients love it and the founders are extremely responsive and hold weekly meetings. The platform is always improving and growing! Way better than Skool or Might Networks!

They keep working to fix prior bugs and make it better and better. SO much better than Facebook groups for an online community!!!

Heartbeat keeps getting better and better! Their advancement and capabilities keep growing what seems almost weekly! You guys are doing a killer job and I’m super grateful for what you provide!

I love the Heartbeat app. This is a cost effective solution to host a community as well as to host your synchronous meetings and message boards. The IOS app makes is easy to do DMs and have full control of the onboarding experience.

Our new community absolutely loves the Heartbeat Chat app with it’s rolling feed and easy access to all functionality. It keeps us connected when we’re on the go. We even had a poll to choose which color HeartbeatChat would present in on our phones. Until recently, we were using another community platform that didn’t even have a mobile app, so Heartbeat’s app is a welcomed improvement!

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on community platforms. This is by far my favorite. Sure, it has growth edges, but it’s off to a wonderful start and has a great foundation to grow from.

Is Heartbeat perfect no. Did it used to have a ton of glitches yes. It was brand new!

I’ve been watching the platform grow and change to better user experiences. I love the changes they are making. They do listen to the community and again are still a relatively new platform compared to the “big guys” out there.

Guys, heartbeat is legit! Huuuuge fan here. Facebook groups lost their luster to me and I’ve been on the hunt for a place to host my paid community. Heartbeat exceeded all expectations! You’ll love it!

This is the type of community building platform you want. Easy to use & better than slack.

There are a few kinks to work out here… for example, users cannot change their RSVP to an event after confirming. Users also cannot join public threads via HeartbeatChat .
But overall the UI is simple and the notifications are FAST, unlike the Mighty Networks platform that I am currently on. Can’t wait to fully switch over.

Definitely recommend it. I use it on the basis to communicate with a community of more than 1000 members so far and growing.
