Möbius Sync Reviews

You now how the ability to have MöbiusSync sync in the background with the most recent update. Not sure if my previous review was that impactful, but content to see it happen.

UPDATE
.stfolder cannot be synchronized and is throwing a “name is invalid, must not start with period on iOS” exception. This is standard for all syncthing directories & confirmed on two iOS devices.

So far has been a decent port of Syncthing. Update schedule is a bit slower if you’re waiting for the latest updates.

Personally I depend on the “Untrusted Client” feature available in the latest version of Syncthing so I can’t use this fully yet. Any chance of an update soon?

Old review: There has been no update for 7 months. It tends to compromise security. It is lack of syncthing’s new improvements and updates

This core version is quite out-of-date and could really use an update. If you’re MöbiusSync developer and seeing this review, please, I beseech you to integrate the latest Syncthing core.

App is great. Wish the in-app purchase to unlock unlimited sync supported Apple's "family sharing" so I don't have to re-buy it 3 or 4 times just to use Syncthing to share files with my family.

All it needs is photo sync, even one way, and MöbiusSync would be perfect. Excellent integration of SyncThing, it works flawlessly so far from the first 7 minutes of use. MöbiusSync really deserves advertising and recognition (that is is SyncThing) and hopefully it continues to get updates.

Just be sure you’re on the latest iOS version; there was an Apple bug wherein you couldn’t see files in your Cloud folder on versions pre 15.4. I spent a good chunk of time troubleshooting that.

Given all the restrictions that iOS puts on alls running in there background I am really impressed that Möbius Sync keeps my files pretty up to date in the background. Integrates with them Files app well too.

This is a great app for syncing files with other instances of syncthing (e.g., on macOS). It works great and is open source.

Was really wanting syncthing support! Looking forward to the upcoming photo upload capability

Syncthing finally runs on iOS, with all features. iOS sandboxing limits its utility, but that’s not the dev’s fault.

I echo the positive comments of the other reviewers: this is an amazing and long-awaited app for iOS. Thanks to the developers for making it available to the iOS platform and to Apple for allowing it on MöbiusSync Store.

MöbiusSync is worth way more than the cost to unlock unlimited syncing. MöbiusSync is so important to me that I’d pay a subscription.

I have been waiting for a native syncthing client fry iOS since using it as my primary desktop sync tool three years ago. MöbiusSync works great and while there is some chunkiness to using it iPhone, it’s much better to retain the privacy and security nature of the platform.

Developer is fantastic and quickly remedy to bug her reported a week ago.

With google photo backup not being free anymore I was looking for options to sync my iOS photos with a server. In this case it looks like that functionality is not developed yet.

Please implement this ASAP! The ability to send my iOS photos/videos to another device/server would be great.

We’ve been needing syncthing on iOS forever. Apple tries hard to kneecap powerful apps like this that give agency to the user, and it is wonderful that someone finally got this working.

As long as there’s no privacy concerns, which is a bit iffy — but, given the nature of data in my Syncthing, I don’t mind as much — MöbiusSync solves a whole host of problems with the lack of iOS sync.

Thank you for making sync thing for iOS I never thought this would happen please always support this wonderful App have a good day. Please buy MöbiusSync to support the developers it’s worth it in so many ways to get files off your phone to you pc

I’ve been hoping for this for awhile and it’s great to see it finally arrive! I look forward to the e2ee later once it becomes more stable. Really appreciate the reasonable price and lack of analytics/trackers.

Background sync isn’t the best. Maybe they could use location to trigger sync as well like Nextcloud does for photo/video background syncing.

It’s Syncthing on iOS, it actually works and is super performant.
