Thank you

I have an iPhone 6s Plus. What I did was I search for my tv brand name and try both server, that didn’t work so I search for directv because that’s the network cable I have, there was two choices one was server the other one said B1 I tried server it didn’t work but B1 work for me after selecting B1 I tried the one that said Beta and then I change the channel and it worked for me. but u can try both, after selecting a server it will tell you to change the name of your device don’t change it leave it as it is. Also after you’re done with a server that doesn’t work tap on the 3 bar at the top left and tap on the other 3 dots to delete it so you can try other servers, if you buy the pro version you can have more than one remote. I Also want to thank the developer who created AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote because I tried a lot of apps on AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote Store none of them work AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote is the only one that work for my insignia TV.🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Perfect remote

No frills, bells or whistles - just the basics, which is exactly what a remote should be. Connected with Hisense R6 Smart TV on the first try with no hassles.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a simple, responsive, intuitive remote.

Will remove review once refunded, but the OK button doesn’t work

The OK button is vital to the function of the remote, and I paid for the full version of the remote since AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote connected to my tv and recognized it as an LG smart TV, and since the average reviews were so high, I was anticipating to have no problems, plus I played around with it for a few seconds and didn’t see any problems with it so I immediately bought the full version expecting to have a full functioning smart remote on my phone, only to find out that I can’t actually select anything without using the physical remote to press the selection for something, which completely defeats the entire purpose of AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote. I emailed the developer the other day asking for a refund and I haven’t heard anything back and I’m really hoping they refund me, if not I’m gonna have to contact Apple because this is ridiculously unfair to charge me this kind of money for an app where I can’t even press a button that’s vital to the function of the remote :(

Free app

I have not used this yet I’m downloading it now but there is a question i have. Why doesn’t someone make remote for everything and make it free to the public. Universal remotes in stores generally cost $6.99 and up but no one has made a universal remote paid or free for the old converter boxes they came out with years ago. There some people that still have those but none of the remotes I see and apps do not work with those boxes. When analog went bust everyone was jumping to get these boxes now that we have them and the remotes don’t work anymore no one has solution except for buy a digital tv or get cable. Well let me tell you the way this economy is going a lot people are going wish they had those boxes. I’ll reserve my rating for AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote if it works for my converter box that yes I own. Thank you. Gentlemen.

Only partially functional

Really wish I had more patience before paying to upgrade to pro. The concept and advertised abilities sound awesome but the quality is poor and many things don’t work.

For example, fire tv remotes simply don’t work and give you an “error: must configure” but there is no option to configure anywhere. The Roku remotes don’t even have the features of roku’s own free remote app such as private listening or even a “power” button. The worst problem is their watch app, there is no way to even switch devices! Whichever device you load first is the only one you can control until you reinstall. Their online faq/documentation provides no help either.

I would love to purchase their IR equipment to use infrared devices if I could trust things to work, but unfortunately right now it seems like they have a lot of unfinished work.

Great..for one night.

Downloaded AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote to use AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote remote paired with Echo via wifi. Everything set up the first time very easy. It automatically found my Sony Bravia smart TV. It paired with my Echo just fine. I had it working great. However, the next day it was all screwed up. I deleted AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote , disabled the skill, and started over completely. Setup went EXACTLY like the day before but it DOES NOT work. Alexa is getting the commands and says they're going through, but nothing happens. Not even the AnyMote remote in AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote works. Presently it's totally useless. It was awesome for the hour it worked last night. Now I'm just totally frustrated and disappointed, is which seems to be the current trend.

Waste of time and $7

Been looking for an alternative to Logitech Harmony but sadly this isn’t it. Managed to successfully pair my Philips Hue Bridge and DirecTV, but the connection is lost pretty consistently. And I have mesh WiFi in my house along with gigabit speeds. Not to mention I’ve tried countless times to pair my Apple TV and every time I do, I input the pin with the Apple remote and AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote freezes. Extremely disappointed. Then, I’ve tried to pair my Samsung Smart TV and that can’t be found somehow, except it’s a late 2016 model.

What’s really disappointing is that we can’t try all the remotes we have to see if we’re satisfied with the functions until we pay $7. Seems like there should be a trial period.

Can’t Connect To Samsung Smart TV

I have a brand new Samsung Smart TV and I got AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote to control it with my echo. AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote was unable to find my Samsung TV and I spent roughly 45 minutes reconnecting to WiFi and restarting my router and other things to try and get this to work. Then, I read that I could just use the manual button in the top right corner to manually input the IP Address.....well when I click that button nothing happened!

So, I said, “Maybe AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote is just buggy. I’ll restart my phone and try again.” Nope, still all the same issues after that.

Uninstalling AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote now. Let me know if you fix these connectivity issues.

Strange glitch

I have an iPhone 7 and use AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote for my Roku and basic flat screen tv (not a smart tv). AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote works great for when I can’t find my Roku remote, but it has a flaw. When I open and close AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote my phones volume with fluctuate from mute to full volume (mutes when exiting and full volume when entering). Not a huge deal, but I need the volume up for alarms etc and thankfully I catch it when exiting and turn my volume back up. My husband has an iPhone 7 Plus and AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote and he doesn’t encounter this issue.

External IR blasters and Apple Watch app don’t work

Title:
External IR blasters and Apple Watch app don’t work

Remotes recorded with Broadlink RM Mini 3 do not work at all.

IR Remotes (downloaded from AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote ’s database) will connect to the Broadlink RM and only work for 1-2 minutes before losing connection and failing.

The only way to get the Broadlink RM to work again is to “forget” and then re-add the Broadlink before it will work again.

Since there is no way to do this on the Apple Watch, there is no way to make the remote start working again without opening AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote on the phone and deleting the external IR Blaster and then re-connecting it. Very very frustrating.

If I open AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote on the phone and Watch at the same time, the Watch app crashes.

I bought AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote because I wanted to control my TV and devices with my Apple Wartch but AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote doesn’t work with Broadlink RM as advertised.

I paid $6.99 for an app that doesn’t work at all. I want a refund.

Great app, but noticed a couple bugs...

Love AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote , but it seems to have a bug where it doesn’t maintain the connection to the BroadLink IR blaster when AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote is backgrounded. Force-Closing AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote and relaunching it seems to immediately fix the issue. Also, there are references to being able to back-up and restore remotes, but there doesn’t seem to be a place to sign in beyond the restore function when first starting AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote . Otherwise seems to be a good app!

Fire stick

It worked GREAT with my LG smart TV so I decided to purchase the premium for $6.99 for my fire stick and it does not work with my fire stick. I lose my fire stick remote quit often so i downloaded AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote to save time. I was highly disappointed when it did not work with my fire stick. AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote also puts my phone on mute which is inconvenient. I feel as if i wasted $6.99 and would like a refund. It was 5 stars before i purchased the premium but now that i purchase the premium i give AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote 2 stars.

Works for Direct tv

So far it’s good! Have direct tv genie model c41w-100 and app works great over WiFi with the beta! First time I searched for devices nothing came up exit out and re tried brought up all direct tv boxes in the house! Works better than any other remote app I’ve tried so far! Keep up the great work!

Apple TV 4th Gen Support??

Solid functionality plus integration with IFTTT & Alexa is a huge bonus.

However, it doesn’t seem to have a command for the “tv” button functionality on the Apple TV 4th Gen+ (top right button on original remote...) super annoying if this is the case. That model has been out for years.

Having this option in a macro would be stellar for turning off the tv, automatically returning to the where you left off on what you were watching, etc.

AnyMote, if you’re listening, please either tell me how I’m screwing this up... or add it!!

UPDATE: 1-Star. Sorry guys, but no play/pause button either?? You gotta update this to support the basic functionality of the current Apple TV. As I said, respond and tell me where those rascal buttons are hiding and I’ll give you 5 stars, plus I’ll knock a few off my review for Logitech Harmony ;) ;). HELP!

It could be nice

When I first got the free app, I liked it pretty well. I linked it to my LG smart tv and I was getting used to using this instead of the TVs app. I decided to buy the full version to operate my 3 firesticks. Bad idea... when I try to use the firestick, it freaks out and tried to connect to them all and then doesn’t work or crashes AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote . Now my regular lg part doesn’t work. I’m really hoping an update will fix this because AnyMoteSmartUniversalRemote could be really nice.
