Looked promising but a Non starter

Downloaded because of the nice chart features showcased in the screenshots, separate 1rm, 5rm, 8rm lines… trend lines. Looks nice Upon opening FitNotes2 it prompts me to import data from other apps but the link just goes to their homepage with no further information. It also says I only have 12 free workouts. I’m not going to waste time entering data if 1) it means I lose all history from other apps 2) after 12 workouts the data will be potentially wasted if I decide not to pay for FitNotes2 3) others have noted in their reviews they sunk time into FitNotes2 and got bait and switched to pay. Just gonna uninstall this. Maybe the developers should make it so I can import data from another app, or perhaps charge for the charts instead of limiting the workouts. I can easily export data from other apps and get whatever charts I need in various programs like excel.

Reply to their reply: it’s a bait and switch because you label FitNotes2 as “free” on FitNotes2 Store when it’s not. What don’t you get about this?

Confusing and hard to use

The UI is not good, I can’t create a workout from a template, instead of selecting the template to use it just enters the template editor again. There’s no point in having templates if the only thing I can do is edit them and not use them. Maybe I’m just doing something wrong, but there’s no way to know therefore FitNotes2 is hard to use and confusing, like the description says

Its a $40 application…

Turns out you only get a set maximum number of workouts you can log, then they charge a subscription fee or charge you $40 for FitNotes2 . Think about it, if you saw FitNotes2 on FitNotes2 store with a $40 price tag would you even open it to see more info? No. you know it, I know it $40 for an app you can pretty much do all of using local memory and have relative to no server maintenance charging this much is highway robbery. Decent app, disrespectful pricing.

Good not great

Its very annoying you cant link your devices. It would be great if i updated a workout on my phones it would also update in my ipad. I expected as much seeing as you have to pay for FitNotes2 . Other than thats its great for tracking workouts but the settings are somewhat confusing, for example i keep switching between workouts and I have tried everything to turn it off

Back arrow

When reviewing variouis exercises, I wish that pushing the back arrow would take me back to the group of exercises I was reviewing, rather than to my overall workout.

Exactly what I needed

Comprehensive features, while still having an extremely intuitive interface. I use this to take notes on my workouts. Too bad the lifetime cost is kinda high

Can't add sets during workout

Please add a feature where during a workout, we can add sets to the exercise we're doing. This feature should be standard, yet creating workouts in FitNotes2 isn't exactly intuitive or always clear. Please allow more flexibility and functionality, thanks.

Slight issue that is still present.

Overall FitNotes2 is great, but I seem to be having an issue where the rest timer doesn’t go off when the phone is locked. It’s intermittent, but happens 6-10 times during a 1.5 to 2 hour workout. I tried to select the feedback option in the settings menu, but all I get is an error saying “sorry, we can’t send email on this device.” I’ve tried going through my FitNotes2 and privacy settings, but I can’t find a reason why FitNotes2 would give me this error.

Great app 👌

I love fit notes, easy to use and very visual which I like. Really helped me focus on different PRs and getting stronger each week. I like how you can click on a PR and FitNotes will tell you exactly how you got there the previous time and you can easily look at past workouts. 10/10 ⭐️

Simply the best

FitNotes2 is great if you know what you want out of a workout app. It doesn’t add the clutter of trying to sell you workout programs and is very customizable to your logging needs. Plenty of area for notes at the workout and exercise level too.

bug with records

records seems broken. it doesn't accurately state my record (misses some data) when I select All Time but when I switch to Past 3 Months or another period it increases my record

Extremely Helpful

I used to just try keeping track of what I was lifting in my head, but my head is a little forgetful sometimes.

I’ve used FitNotes2 for the last 4 months and the amount of progress I’ve made is astronomical. Knowing exactly what I’ve lifted the previous workouts has helped me reach PR’s every week. I am so glad I’m using this now. This is the most amount of progress I’ve ever made lifting.

I’d say just paying for the whole app without doing the subscription is worth it.

Easy to use, powerful workout tracker

Super easy to use interface with large buttons (have fun trying to click small buttons when you're drained after a heavy set), useful graphs, and tons of exercises and customizability. Super responsive developers. Worth it!

Simple, straight forward

I looked at a lot of fitness apps and most are more complicated than needed. FitNotes2 is perfect!

Great Log

Initially I had issues when I started using FitNotes2 maybe a couple years so far, but I message the developers and they are receptive to the feedback.

However, the use of it is so helpful in logging workouts that I decided the pay for the subscription. Well worth it.

My go to workout tracker

Simple and easy to use. 👍

Wish list:
Better graphs (a line graph to see my overall progress)
Widgets please 😀

Great App

Great App for tracking all kinds of exercise. They also just added a copy exercise sets from history which is awesome.

Beat fitness tracker

No extra stuff, just tracks what you’re doing. Easy to use, UI is excellent. Paid for a lifetime license.

Superior by far

I love FitNotes2 so much I paid for the lifetime option. It is absolutely superior to every other tracking app out there, I know because I’ve tried all of them. My only complaint is that the timer seems glitchy occasionally, but aside from that it is perfection.

Great app

This is my go to app for tracking workouts. You should also add drop sets and it will be even more awesome
