I already had a RenWeb subscription but now they shut that down and switched to this. The RenWeb app said that my subscription would carry over but in order to use FACTSFamily , it is requiring me to pay to subscribe again :( How do I get credit for already having my subscription?

Surprisingly FACTS found away to make an app worse than RenWeb. While they cleaned up some of the style, it is very poorly organized and has a $5 monthly subscription for what used to be free and better. It cuts off on home work and lesson plans after a certain number of letters, so for anything after the set limit you will have to lookup on the website. You have to resign in every week or so and is so clanky. The pages take forever and some to load. It is basically a web page with horrible organization. A truly terrible relaunch of FACTSFamily . Unfortunately, Apple does not allow for a zero star review, therefore I am forced against will to give FACTSFamily one star which it doesn’t even deserve.

I was frustrated when I wanted to print off my kids’ schedules before sending them off to school and FACTSFamily wouldn’t allow it. Couldn’t screenshoot it either bc it doesn’t fit onto the screen. I wanted to make sure my kid’s absence was excused, but since she’s not my oldest child, I can’t see her attendance record. There’s a drop down menu bar that is unresponsive. I really dislike having to tap multiple items to see the grades for specific assignments. Grades are what I check most often, but that option is midway down the page because it’s in abc order. Not user friendly and some areas are inaccessible.

Make sure you write down all 500 passwords you create! FACTSFamily will log the user out every week or two, your existing password will receive an error message when you try to log back in (even if it is correct), and you will have to create a new password but can’t use any passwords you’ve used previously. No option to allow faceID in lieu of the password either. Difficult to use for mobile lunch orders. 4 different financial options that are not customizable to what your school actually uses. Generally- not a user friendly application- probably much easier to use mobile web browser instead.

I have 64 apps on my phone. This is the only one that I paid for (not just once, but annually) yet it is the worst app I have. When other apps have an update, they continue to work. Not this one. It logs you out and you can’t even use it. Everything about FACTSFamily is difficult, the format (can’t see an overview on one screen), it’s impossible to toggle between different class grades without exiting the current screen and then having to go back, half the icons do nothing, & the directory is difficult to navigate and you can’t even find someone without knowing what grade they are in. My free apps work perfectly fine. This paid one... garbage.

I downloaded the FACTS family app with high hopes, but unfortunately, it has too many issues that need to be addressed . FACTSFamily frequently crashes and freezes, which makes it frustrating to use. Additionally, some of the features don’t work as intended, such as constant updates every week. I appreciate the concept of FACTSFamily and can see its potential, but it needs a lot of work to be functional. Overall, I will not recommend FACTSFamily in its current state. I hope the developers take user feedback into account and work to address the issues. With some improvements, I believe FACTSFamily could be valuable tool for users.

Before FACTSFamily launched, I was given a message on RenWeb that after June 1st, 2022 RenWeb will no longer be available and the Facts Family app will be the new “RenWeb”. In that same message, it was stated that if we already subscribed and paid the full year for RenWeb then it would transfer to Facts Family and we would not have to pay again. I just downloaded the Facts Family app and I already paid the year subscription for RenWeb previously but it’s not registering that I have already paid and forwarded to the Facts Family app and will not go to the home screen until I pay again. Is something wrong with FACTSFamily or do I need to do something else to get the new app to know that I already paid?

FACTSFamily randomly logs me out randomly a lot…
it’s so stupid! And they took away the artistic designs in the grades section. Used to if you had an A: it’ll be green. And a B: yellow and so on. But now they have it just black and white. Now, I don’t have the motivation to click on FACTSFamily and check my grades. much less getting the grades needed to pass high school All because the colors are gone now 😭.
I’ve already spent hours and hours of time doing nothing except crying in my room. I’ve skipped all the after school activities I signed up for. The ones that I put effort into before the colors got taken away. It’s been a few days, and I don’t think anything will cure my eyes anymore.

FACTSFamily, this program, does not deserve any stars on its review. My wife works for a school that implemented this over the summer. It’s great when it works unfortunately it seldom works. Tech support is absolutely atrocious. The implementation specialist is overwhelmed with phone calls and emails and will never answer the phone. Sometimes you get a call back in a day or two.
The parents at the school are mad at the faculty because they can’t order lunches. Meanwhile the faculty is going nuts because they are taking heat from the parents and not getting any good tech support.
Anyone thinking of getting this for your school should save some money and just use paper and pencil. It would be faster.

Catholic schools in Brooklyn use FACTSFamily for paying tuition, see grades homework etc. FACTSFamily constantly logs you out, so many bugs, but yet I am forced to use it. Yes granted you can use the free version on your pc, but parents don’t have the time for that. If I am paying for a product it should work. If schools districts are using this for homework and grades, etc my kids should be able to log in on their phones with out issue. It’s unbelievable how this company gets away with this. There are so many other vendors that can supply this information, but yet we are forced to use a subpar company.
Anyone who aid the $5 should get a refund and a free year of service. Can’t wait to drop this facts thing next year when my kid goes to hs.

FACTSFamily has continuous and incessantly decreased in quality with almost every update. With every update something is broken trying to fix the previous buggy update. At least 2x a month I won’t be able to log in to check anything for days. This wouldn’t be as big of an issue if I wasn’t being logged out every time FACTSFamily shuts. FACTSFamily has seen a huge downgrade each update for the pass two years. All this wouldn’t be as big of an issue if it weren’t for FACTSFamily being needed for school. I need FACTSFamily to work as my homework is assigned through there.

Every time does app crashes, when I go to log back in, it charges me $4.99 again. I have literally paid $4.99 five times in the last two months. FACTSFamily is only $4.99 per year. And now they won’t refund any of my money through Apple. Why, I don’t know, because I have proof that I’ve already paid for it once, but they keep charging me over and over and over again and won’t refund it. I have to use FACTSFamily for my child’s school, but I think FACTSFamily stinks because they keep overcharging me every time there’s a problem with FACTSFamily . Right now they owe me a $20 refund for the four extra times that they’ve charged me in the last few months and they won’t give me the money back. Otherwise, I like FACTSFamily for school purposes.

Our family is required to use FACTSFamily to check assignments and grades for our kids. I’m constantly getting logged out and then prompted to enter the correct login info…which has always been the same. Every time.

The new version is practically the same as the last one, just with slightly more attractive buttons (at least from the user interface perspective). After working all day, homework with the kiddos at night, chores, dinner, etc. the last thing I want to be doing is losing a battle with the very app required to get the dang things done.

I’d love to like or even tolerate FACTSFamily, but instead, I’m typing this review out of both historical, and real time, frustration due to being currently locked out (again). Please improve renweb before my breakdown becomes imminent 😭😅

FACTSFamily errors out 90% of the time or just spins and never pulls the information up. On the rare occasion that it does “work” it will show me one child’s picture but have another’s grades or behavior under them. It was bad enough that it was free and did it and it’s the only way out school communicates but to add a $5 surcharge per family per year and still have it not work is even worse - especially considering the school pays to use the software. Get your act together and fix this stuff. In todays day and age tech not working like this is unacceptable.

If I could give FACTSFamily a zero, I would. Given that we have to pay for this yearly, one would think FACTSFamily would work correctly. Wrong answer. It never works. Logs people out constantly, retains no information, and on and on. Please for the love of all that is holy, go back to the RenWeb platform. It worked. This is a disaster; reading reviews everyone has the same opinions and experiences going back months and months, which means you aren’t doing anything to correct the issues. Use facial recognition to login for Pete’s sake. You are making thousands of dollars a year and not delivering!!!

I am sick and tired of all of these updates, the fact that I am constantly logged out, the constant changing of passwords, and the only use a password once bull! Please pay someone that knows what they are doing to fix your app! I have to use FACTSFamily, which we have to pay for, to keep up with my son’s grades and homework! I think for an app that we are expected to use it should work more efficiebtly! Let’s not forget we pay for FACTSFamily and I expect better quality for things that I spend my money on! I only gave 1 star because none was not a choice and you have to give something!

I was really hoping for better changes in FACTSFamily but it gets seemingly worse. Some things are genuinely worse like the constant logging out & lack of use of device biometrics. It is ridiculous that with all the free dev tools Apple gives away for free that FACTSFamily doesn’t utilize standard tech, nor does the UI account for modern high-res screens, the icons & images look slightly better than old VGA. Zero excuse to have such a dated, disorganized app with all the developer tools available & countless training & subcontract resources, not to mention what some free AI tools could help out with. I’ve seen better functioning, better looking, more streamlined apps from high school course projects.

The biggest issue with FACTSFamily is the difficulty logging in. You never know when you open FACTSFamily if it will allow face recognition to log in or if it’s wiped the log in information and you have to put it all in. If you get the password wrong more than twice it locks you out for 10 minutes. Banking app are easier to log into than this. Why does it clear the face recognition option to log in?

If I am ordering lunch it has my payment method memorized but if I am paying a one off incidental invoice I have to put it in.

Overall a lack of consistency with the aspects of FACTSFamily that provide convenience to the user is my reason for giving FACTSFamily one star. It is a known complaint from users for many years and they have not made an effort to correct the issues.

I personally don’t care that much about how um, kinda bad the quality is. I’ve just kind of accepted it, and dealt with it, but this is really annoying and I just want to check my grades but I can’t, because each time I try to enter FACTSFamily it says, “we apologize. An error has occurred and we’re trying to resolve it. Please try again later.” 😑😑😑 So, I tried again later, and later, and later. Still not done with this supposed “error”. The “error”, is that FACTSFamily is saying that it has an error and not letting me in so I can check my grades. 😐

The previous RenWeb app was far superior to the FACTS app. It updates so often, with no noticeable improvements. I cannot wait until I no longer need FACTSFamily for my children’s school. The constant updates which then require me to log back in are a headache. Ordering lunches is confusing when you have more than one student. And having to remember each month which of the financial portals are the right one to pay through is also irritating. All in all, it is a trash app and I look forward to never needing it again.

I got FACTSFamily to keep track of my kids grades. UX engineers need to take another look at design as this is not user friendly! I have two children in two different grades. When trying to view the grades I can see one child’s but when clicking on the second it lists their name and the grades of the first. I’ve sent two “report an issue” tickets about this and so far no changes have been made. Also, after submitting the tickets, FACTSFamily freezes where I have to get out and get back in. I feel like I’ve been scammed into paying $4.99 for an app that doesn’t work.

This is one of the worst app “updates” ever. I desperately miss the old version of RenWeb (which had its faults but was infinitely better than FACTS). I miss the Week at a Glance option. This UI is clunky and not at all user friendly. You can’t view all of the text entered because FACTSFamily cuts it off. The grades aren’t in date order. It’s very difficult to see missing assignments. The list goes on and on. The only thing that makes me happy is that my child is a Senior and in a few months I’ll never have to look at this terrible, horrible app again.

FACTSFamily continually crashes or asks to log in constantly. Now it asked me to pay for the subscription again after I already paid for it several months ago. Well I did that, gave me an error and proceeded to try 5 more times to no avail. It charged me $4.99 each time I tried to pay for the subscription, even though I paid for it already. Trying to get a refund for an app that I can’t even log onto now unless I try to pay each time. Horrible app. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Every time I select a class to view detailed grades in the Gradebook I get a “Login Error” popup, it forces a reauthentucation, but does the exact same thing after I reauthenticate — just goes in circles. Impossible to see detailed grades. This isn’t a replacement for RenWeb.

Are there plans to make FACTSFamily responsive?
FACTSFamily is merely links to the family portal page. You have to slide the screen around to review report cards, the directory etc… Families are being charged when they could just create these shortcuts on their own home screen.

I’m the student in this situation and I found FACTSFamily convenient when I wanted to know my grades. After a couple weeks it would log me out saying my password expired, but that didn’t bug me before. Just recently it logged me out and said I had to pay a subscription to continue using it!

That makes me really upset considering it was nice having an app on my phone that I could look at, for any homework I had or to check my grades. This would be a great app if it didn’t make you pay for it. If anyone is considering buying this I’ll say, it’s nice at first but gets kind of annoying after a while.

For a paid app, I would hope that the functionality would be better. Like why does it look like it’s just the mobile responsive website slapped into an app format when it’s a paid app? Lunch ordering in-app is almost impossible. Also I have to update FACTSFamily every time I open FACTSFamily or it doesn’t work. I appreciate that FACTSFamily is being updated, but it’s really obnoxious to have to update so frequently when FACTSFamily will not work properly without the update.

FACTSFamily isn’t that bad, but the CONSTANT UPDATING is ridiculous. If there’s this many problems with FACTSFamily that you have to update it twice a week than that should tell you something. RenWeb was so much easier. It’s fine to navigate, but the updates are just so incredibly redundant and I never see an improvement or difference after doing it. Another thing, if there is so much wrong with FACTSFamily , why not fix it all in one update rather than doing so many meticulous ones right after each other? So disappointed.

I want to love FACTSFamily. It does make keeping up with grades easier, which I appreciate. That is the main function I use it for. Some functions depend on whether or not your school offers use of that area of FACTS. What I hate the most is the complex log-in. You have to remember so much to log in. And it will not save your info. And it logs you out frequently. It forces you to update anytime an update is available, which is often, and usually logs you out again.

Please pay SOMEONE to fix the bug that constantly logs parents out and then says the log in info isn’t correct. I have 10,000 things to do a day as a parent and wrangling FACTSFamily (we are required to use) should not be this hard. I keep trying to log my parent volunteer hours (which shouldn’t be buried under the family icon) and it shows a check mark and “insert value” under description. Simultaneously the keyboard vanishes so you can’t type. Then if you pull up the keyboard the cursor moves out of the box you need. You also can’t select the check or the option below it. None of my hours have been logged despite trying several times on my facts iPhone app.

My school used FACTSFamily to track grades, assignments, and homework. If i were to not go to school one day for many reasons i would need to log into RenWeb. You can log on to this same application on Google for FREE! But with FACTSFamily you have to pay $5/month. I thought getting FACTSFamily would be convenient because i wouldn’t have to log in every time. I WAS WRONG. You can’t even log in once for free. I am very disappointed in FACTSFamily. I would much rather log in every time then pay for something that i am REQUIRED to have for school!

It would be better if words were under the picture icons to explain what it links to. I’m tapping icons to figure out what it leads to and it is not effective use of time. I need to click quick to check kids grades, homework etc… I don’t mentally have time to try and memorize what each icon will do.

Please add text to what the button will take u to. I’m also getting that error of clicking on grades and it has me log in but it doesn’t do it??? Like other reviewers have stated.

I use this for school so I use the yearly subscription (which is very cheap) and I have 0 problems with FACTSFamily . I like the format better than what we used last year and everything is simple and smooth. It doesn’t log me out like other people are saying. Maybe the free version is more dysfunctional but i actually like FACTSFamily
