Problem with picking different card after swiping

Whenever I swipe cards for see more different cards then pick one, for somehow it won't apply the card I picked. Thus my partners get confused due to it shows the wrong card. Please fix this problem.

Cool idea but backwards

Polygloss sets you up so that if you’re learning language X, it partners you with someone else learning the same language. That’s not effective—you can’t correct each other and you’ll keep making the same mistakes. If I’m fluent in X and learning Y, pair me with someone fluent in Y and learning X!

pretty great, has some issues

Namely the fact that the AI can’t work with toki pona, and certain tests with the minigames cause me to get things wrong due to the order of words (that wouldn’t matter usually). I do love Polygloss, and understand why those issues can’t exactly be *easily* fixed, but you should take that into consideration.

Can’t add new language- overall great

I’m working on a new language and was unable to locate a way to add it after I’d added my initial languages- it would be nice to be able to easily add in a new practice target language!

Great way to practice formulating your thoughts

Simple concept. Pick one of four images and write a sentence about it. Great way to build your vocabulary and to identify gaps where you don’t know how to express a particular idea.

I generally try to write a couple sentences while looking up things as needed. After a week or so I’m already noticing an improvement in my ability to be able to say what I want to say without having to look things up.

Amazing!

I have been stuck in a language rut for a while because I have been learning grammar and vocabulary but not using it! Polygloss has forced me to start using everything I’ve learned (and recalling it) so I am starting to have more confidence in speaking and making more complex sentences. There’s still not that many users in the language I am studying but hopefully in the future that will change.

Good app

This is a really cool app! It makes me sad that not a lot of people use it. I don’t know if it’s because I’m new to using Polygloss , but the most recent message I’ve seen anyone send was from March… most are from a few weeks or months ago. Barely anyone is online from what I can tell, and no one can reply to my matches quickly. Am I doing something wrong?

Great for any level

Polygloss is obviously good for beginner and intermediate learners, but it’s also great and lots of fun for the advanced language student. At this level, I am ecouraged not only create a simple statement about the image but to bring more creativity to bear. Why not craft a rhyming couplet? This pushes me deep into the target language to think outside the box.
I’m having a ball with it!

Highly effective writing practice

This fun app/game lets me practice language areas I need and makes the process fun.

I needed an app to help get me from Italian B1 to B2 with writing practice so I can improve my spoken Italian. Duolingo isn’t useful at this level. Busuu’s writing is a chore. italki lessons are great but expensive.

this app is perfect for fun writing practice. Highly recommended!

Learning a lot!

This is super useful for practicing your language of choice. Make your own timing as it’s turn-based. Folks will correct your mistakes and you will discover your shortcomings when trying to write sentences. Great tool for a more complete language learning journey!

Perfect writing practice

I love practicing my target language and helping others with my native language. One piece of feedback: can you make the keyboard automatically switch language to the target language? Google translate does this and this would be a nice UX win

Makes me think which is perfect

I love how this app makes me use the language I’m learning. I’m actively applying vocabulary I already know, and being exposed to how native speakers describe things so that I can learn how to say things more naturally.

Great Language Learning Resource!

This is a great app for those who want to practice their writing/reading skills (in virtually any language!) but who may not want to have a conversation all the time to do so. Great tool for your language learning journey!

Love this app

I love the concept, it is an awesome way to practice and improve your language skills. Additionally I love that it’s made by an indie developer who interacts with her users!

Great idea and excellent implementation!

Great app for practicing writing and speaking in different languages! It’s easy to get started, a lot of fun, and very useful for improving!

I can practice Toki Pona with my friend

Features

Our mission is to help language learners be independent and enjoy life using a foreign language.

- Ideal for motivated beginners and intermediate language learners (A2-B2).

It is normal for language learners to experience more language exposure than language creation.

For most language learners, moving from ‘understanding’ to ‘communicating’ is difficult.

These methods are great and should be part of any language learners tool kit.
