It’s really cute, can’t lie about that, however, not only do you have to pay monthly to use NotBoringCalculator but if you’re really in the need for a calculator for a job or school then I suggest you just use the regular calculator on your phone. Unless I missed some other control or button you need to press to access it, this calculator has practically nothing compared to the free one on your phone. Brackets for example are really important in higher grade math and NotBoringCalculator does not have them. You can’t multiply anything by a higher power or work out fractions like you can on the free calculator. It’s a cute idea and I love it but in the end its just useless and not practical… sorry

I use this calculator every day. Can modify numbers if you screwed up entering them (vs starting over) and the skins are so fun - didn’t know it mattered if my calculator was pretty or not …but it does. NOT BORING!

For a calculator app that is supposed to be pretty and costs 2$ a month minimum to work it is very upsetting to have it crash everytime I turn my phone on and off. Beyond the visuals and the ability to edit your mistakes there is nothing that puts this above the iPhone’s default calculator app, and for 2 smacks a month it is impossible to recommend.

At least it looks very pretty!

The sounds, the animations all make basic math calculations a joy to do. If you tap on the numbers, you can even play a musical tune.

I love these apps so much but im really bummed out that i have to pay a monthly subscription, i would love if there was an option for a one time purchase on these apps :(

This is amazing! Andy apps are awesome I love the creative stuff! I just can’t figure out the monster skin riddle. Again I recommend NotBoringCalculator it is super fun!

You’re charging 2 bucks a month to use a calculator that doesn’t even have a scientific function?

And 10 bucks for a skin? So your app isn’t boring, even though it is, but it is ugly enough I’ll pay 10$ to change it? Cause that’s what you’re saying.

As with all apps nowadays, you’re expected to pay a subscription to use them.

This is a calculator app. With less features than the built in calculator app.

The design is nice, yes.

NotBoringCalculator is soooooo GOOD it is just not boring in any way!

This is a beautiful calculator app with some subtle but surprisingly useful innovations. Most helpful to me is that it shows everything you’ve entered in an equation, so when I’m adding up receipts or other things like that I am able to verify I’m not missing anything and that I didn’t make any mistakes. On top of that, you can select and modify each amount entered, so after I notice a mistake several numbers back I can easily correct it.

It also makes lovely chirps and chimes when you press things. What more do you need?

Many other reviews seem to be complaints with how Apple handles trial subscriptions in general, which has nothing to do with NotBoringCalculator itself, and should be leveraged at Apple, not NotBoringCalculator .

It be better if It had a opinion for a one time payment

Great interpretation of the boring old calculator. The only piece missing is that without a widget or ability to add to control center there’s no way to quickly access it like one can with the boring stock calculator. A work around is to add it to a shortcut widget.

Could be an operator error here. When adding a lot of numbers, I’d like the ability to scroll back through all of them & change any, including the first one. Could scroll through & change only the visible numbers at top of screen.

Best calculator I’ve used so far.

I understand the weather app maybe needing a subscription for purchasing and up keeping weather data possibly, but there’s absolutely no reason a calculator and timer should have a subscription fee. Let alone one this high.

I’d gladly pay a reasonable one time time fee for the calculator or timer. Utility type applications that need almost no upkeep SHOULD be a one time fee.

This calculator will cost you almost $40 for an average 3 years of use, even the best calculator apps on NotBoringCalculator store with insane amounts more of functionality don’t cost anywhere near this much and are one time fees while also getting updates.

These apps are beautiful, it’s such a shame they’re locked behind a pretentious paywall.

I LOVE NotBoringCalculator. It’s just a calculator app, but it’s distinct and fun to use! It has whimsy and style. Tapping out equations makes pleasant little sounds and fun numerical animations. I WISH every utility app had a soul like NotBoringCalculator does.

Let’s stop wasting everyone’s time. Obviously a lot of effort has gone into marketing these new apps. I down load it with warning on in app purchases only to find out NotBoringCalculator gives a free 7 day trial and you must subscribe at a hefty fee after that. Just be up front and tell me the cost, reoccurring in this case, and save everyone some time. Maybe that is part of the not boring movement. Hardly. Download then delete.

Talk about standing out from the crowd — this calculator app is simple, straightforward and unabashedly bold in design. I will never go back to looking at the flat orange/grey/black of the standard iOS calculator.

This brings joy back to apps.

It’s not boring because it has some weird 3-D effect on the numbers? I don’t get it. Also, a calculator app showing me a subscription window as soon as I install it? No. No no no.

There’s no app unless you subscribe for 15$ a month
