The this app will not stay connected to the WiFi. If my kids try and swap out crafties we have to reconnect the internet. It’s not been working seamlessly since purchase and it’s so frustrating

We have had the full range of products from this company for years and purchased countless accessory items for our children. How disappointed we were to find the customer service non existent when we had an issue after years of using this product. Rude and unhelpful. We found similar/same product elsewhere and decided to purchase where service was much better. Had we known this we never would have bothered with this item.

I was so excited to get this for my daughter but the customer service and lack of resources alone is a big enough reason to run. After spending an entire day setting this up and downloading all of the crafties I was so excited to give this to my daughter. She LOVED it instantly and played with it the rest of the night. The next morning I went to give it to her to play with before school and notified it would only play the last crafty and was no longer registering any other crafty places on top. After scouring the internet for help articles and watching any YouTube video available along with making SEVERAL attempts to call and email support I begrudgingly did a factory reseat knowing I would lose hours of work with downloaded content. Now there are no downloaded crafts and nothing will play. Everything else on the device works but the reader which unfortunately makes it completely useless. They claim to have phone and email response but I they never answer the phone or return calls and all of their emails have been unhelpful canned response. Looking at their website it claims they will replace a defective product within TWELVE MONTHS of it being returned which is outrageous and I can’t even start the return process. this app has officially ruined Christmas for my toddler. I was very excited to share this with other mom friends as Christmas gifts but now I will be making sure to tell everyone I know that this brand is not worth the hype.

Stopped working a week into owning. Doesn’t play any sounds. No responses to emails or phone calls. Purchased like 10 different accessories and money wasted. Buy tonies or some tonies else

We are on our second story pod because support who had us record what we were doing with setup sent us that second one after they couldn’t figure out what we were doing wrong. Everything else in the house can connect to the Wi-Fi, so it’s a this app problem, one that is increasingly common per online. You may love your children but you will forever hate the this app App. Your children will cry in disappointment, you will cry, everyone will cry.

Ask me how our this app experience is going and I couldn’t even tell you, because I cannot even get the stupid thing to connect to my phone for Wi-Fi for the very first set step of setting it up. This is incredibly frustrating and is an expensive paperweight. Storypod doesn’t even save your login information so I have to force quit Storypod over and over and over and sign back in and add my child. Every single time I try to connect to the Wi-Fi to set this stupid thing up. this is a waste of money.

You go in to set up and Storypod freezes on WiFi page over and over even when this app says it is successfully connected to WiFi. It makes all of the additional items unusable, sticker, crafties, ect. Extremely disappointing. I’ve contacted customer support and they only thing they stay is to send it back and they send out a new one, third one still doesn’t work Christmas is in a week, save yourself the hassle. It’s the apps issue that ruined the whole thing.

Would be great if my daughter could use it. Cannot get it connected to wi-fi because the option “ok, ready to connect” isn’t visible under the instructions to connect and the screen doesn’t scroll up or do anything else!

It seems that everyone raves about the this app and Storypod so this is going to be a very unpopular opinion but I absolutely hate both the this app and the corresponding app. The this app itself seems to constantly disconnect from the internet with seemingly no reason. Storypod constantly crashes or sits on a white loading screen. Sometimes it gives me a “network error!” message and no amount of reloading gets it to work. The this app is also not as user friendly as I’d expect. It seems like it takes forever to respond to pressing of the physical buttons. Also the settings for things such as the white noise, etc. where you set corresponding timers is basically completely broken. Also, add to the fact that virtually every single craftie is sold out, there’s not a whole lot my kids can do with the this app since you have to have the crafties and other specific items to get full functionality. I’m very disappointed because it’s so popular but I will never recommend this to anyone and am contemplating just trashing it.

We were so excited to get this app for our two toddlers (12/2022). We have Google fiber, which doesn’t appear to have a 2.4g option. Since our internet is only 5g, we cannot connect our this app to the internet. We have spent 11 months troubleshooting, playing around, trying to get wifi-extenders to make a 2.4g option. We’ve been able to connect at some friends’ houses, and added the crafties onto our “account” - but when we get home, we cannot play them. The this app gave us a prompt to connect and update the firmware, but we cannot connect it at our house to do this update.

I was super excited to get this for my children but am very dissatisfied with Storypod . Connecting to Wi-Fi was a task. Now that we’re connected, my this app isn’t showing in Storypod therefore I’m unable to load/see the crafties or make any customizations to the this app. I’ve factory reset the device to ensure it is functioning. If Storypod was better, I would love this even more. Please help!!!

It was easy to learn how to use and understand, which I appreciate. Loads quickly. Can manage all my products.

So many interesting stories for my older daughter and fun songs for my toddler!

Absolutely love our this app, our 3 yr old son is obsessed. We love that it has so many features. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this product in general, we use minimal TV and it’s been great for bedtime and longer car rides.

A few requests

** it would be so nice if I could use the timer when it’s not connected to the internet. **

** the light on the top is really bright when playing a story, it would be great if it was a red light or something dimmer than the white/blue**

** our owl/ own story recorder sometimes takes a long time to sync with newly recorded stories**

I cannot say enough about this product…! As a family we prioritize story time with our boys, but life sometimes gets in the way. In the past we had used a leapfrog story teller but were disappointed in how easily it could break (plastic and kiddos on bunk beds, not the best mix). this app has been a God sent! The pod itself is very tough and the ‘craftie’ options are a brilliant twist and add-on to pod. My boys LOVE to choose their craftie and then snuggle with the others awaiting their turns to be played. Each craftie has a purpose (songs, types of stories, games) and new ones are often released to keep things interesting. The owl craftie can be customized with stories read by you or a family member. We LOVE this craftie!!! I have recorded their nighttime songs on Owl and now if mommy isn’t available for nighttime routine due to work or other, boys have their Owl that will play mommy singing to them.

Regarding customer service, I couldn’t be more pleased. Shipping is very fast and response time to emails is less than 24 hours. In the customer service world- that’s a huge win! I’ve contacted them a couple of times for troubleshooting and inquiries and this app has not only been helpful, but noticeably caring.

Buy this, worth the investment. My kiddos ask for extra story time every night. First they read, then it’s time for their craftie friends!!! Thank you this app!

My kids are so Engaged listening to the stories and songs, while playing with the soft figurines!! What a wonderful screen-less toy! We’re Loving it!!

I’m so happy to receive my this app!! Our little one just loves the Crafties!! And we’ve already had Nana record a story for him to listen to!! So great especially in these times where it’s hard to see friends and family!!

My kids love it! this app keeps them entertained, so I can actually get things done. It’s like having a little helper! They love the catchy songs, and I really love that you can change the setting to switch it between English and Spanish. We use both!

One technical complaint: Please fix the wifi password validation error suggesting it won’t work with a password longer than 50 characters. Other devices have no problem connecting.

Our daughter absolutely loves her this app and Crafties. Such a well thought out product as it’s fun for her (and the rest of the family), intuitive, promotes learning and storytime while eliminating additional screen time. The production quality of the stories and songs are incredible. Love that each Craftie has its own unique stories and music. Storypod is so great - after our daughter falls asleep we can remotely turn it off or set a timer. We can also adjust the volume. Would recommend this to anyone with kids as they’ll absolutely love it. To top it all off, the customer service I’ve received is top tier - there is truly no comparison.
