You can edit the name of the envelope but cant edit the starting amount. It seems useless if we need to keep recreating an envelope just because the starting amount changes...

SimplyBudget is great, I prefer SimplyBudget over all the many apps I’ve tried because it’s so simple to use and aesthetically pleasing to my eye. Just one thing, I wish that when you enter in a new item in the category, I wish it would show up at the top of the list instead at the very bottom. It’s kind of annoying to keep scrolling allllll the way to the bottom just to check my recent spendings. If this was to get fixed, I promise you this would be the most perfect app for keeping track of your money. I use it specifically for my cashless spending tracker.

I am very pleased with SimplyBudget. It’s simplicity and ease of use makes tracking my spending effortless.
A suggestion for an improvement would be for most recent transactions to be listed first instead of at the bottom. This makes for a lot of scrolling as you refer back to older transactions as they add up.
All-in-all I really really like SimplyBudget - 5 stars.

Extremely easy to use, offline, and the analysis is a great feature providing insight.

Would like to have the ability to create a separate line of envelope budget like savings or another spending source with its own money

It’s simple, straightforward, easy to use. Minimalism is the name here. A suggestion I have is the ability to edit and delete single items, or make it easier to do if that’s possible already, rather than restarting the entire envelope.

This is a great budgeting tool! Super simple and easy to use. The only missing feature is home screen widgets—it would be great to be able to track different envelopes directly from my home screen, rather than having to open SimplyBudget .

Took a tad bit of a learning curve, but the simplicity was exactly what I wanted. However, noticed that when I would add and Item to an Envelope, sometimes it would change Envelopes on me when I would click “Add Item” within the Rent Envelope. This happens with an Envelope named Rent and one Named ROTH. Rent item would switch to the ROTH Envelope.

I love using SimplyBudget but I wish the order of the items could show from newest to oldest! It’s a little annoying having to scroll all the way to the bottom to see my most recent items.

Great app! I’ve used it for over a year now and it’s reliable and straightforward. The only thing I would say is that when I switched to a newer phone the homepage is cropped weird and the text is cut off. Still works though!

I was looking for an app that allowed me to enter in numbers with decimals. I tried this other app that wouldn’t allow me to do that and I would have to round the number. However, SimplyBudget is awesome and literally simply!!! Great app! Thank you!

Simple to use. Very hands on, just like a real cash envelope. You can rename or delete individual envelopes. Edit transactions. Set up quick transactions though dollar amount is left blank. You can even move the envelopes around so they are in the order you prefer. It allows cents and negative balances. Since it doesn’t sync with anything, no need for internet connection. Best of all, it is free!

I’ve been looking for a budgeting app that helps me visualize my bills in an envelope-style system. SimplyBudget is nearly perfectly; no subscription, no bank account connection, no frills. The only addition I’d like to see would be the ability to type in notes for individual envelopes.

I was doing cash envelopes before SimplyBudget and then I started using credit cards in order to build my credit. I love SimplyBudget because it’s so simple and effective! I just wish that you could delete a transaction because sometimes I can make a mistake and it’s kind of a hassle to fix.

SimplyBudget is just what I needed! I had recently began budgeting and using cash envelopes but I wanted a percentage to be digital so I could still use my card, and I needed to keep track. The easy use and how I can manually enter amounts works perfect. The simplicity is so beneficial as it’s not too much to look at and easy to navigate. Compared 4 to other apps I tried to find jus this, it works great and does the job!!

Super easy and quick to use, better than many others I’ve tried. Two suggestions I would make 1) transaction date - default to current date but allow editing. 2) list transactions in envelopes with newest at the top so I don’t have to scroll down to check if I’ve already added something.

Good for what I wanted it for. I can set up the envelopes I want and then manually enter in my spending throughout the week. Would love to be able to rearrange the order of my envelopes, hoping that comes in an update.

This is literally the best budget app I’ve ever seen. Simplicity is key and SimplyBudget allows you to manage all your money and make basic adjustments. Wahoo!

Straight to the point and easy to use.

The budget app I used for years started charging a monthly subscription fee. Hey, I’m on a budget, I don’t want to be signing up for a bunch of subscriptions. I found this envelope app which is perfect. It’s just very simple and basic and is perfect for what I need. It keeps me from having to use pen and paper to keep track of my monthly budget. Thank you to the developer.
