Receipt Scanner: Easy Expense Reviews

Downloaded ReceiptScanner less than 7 days ago to trial. It asked if I’d like to turn on notifications, specifically so it could remind me of when the trial was about to expire. Surprise surprise….no notifications were received until after I was charged for a full year at nearly $50. While ReceiptScanner does allow you to scan and categorize receipts I was also interested in it for mileage tracking which it does but only if you want to manually add each and every trip. Literally no one wants to go that. I’ll still need a new app making this one a total waste of money.

I have a small business that consists of only two people. ReceiptScanner works great for us to keep track of all of our expenses. Sometimes the smart-receipt tool does not capture all the info correctly so we have to look it over each time we upload a receipt, so don’t just blindly take pictures of your receipts without checking that the information is correct. Every penny counts with a small business.

I’m trying to find a better way to keep track of receipts for tax time. An accountant friend suggested I try this while trying to find most efficient process for my life. I just started using app and must have hit limit on number of entries (not many) and they hold my data hostage and request a monthly fee. I don’t like subscribe models at all! So what a waste of my time. They absolutely should warn before making one’s info inaccessible. I will not be forced to subscribe without any warning.

Easy to use, offers amazing break down of expense transactions. Best of all everything is saved without having to worry about keeping up with physical receipts. No fading of ink come tax time , strain of trying to remember what the receipt was for or how much it was for. Lol thank y’all easy expense!

Easy Expense has been an excellent tool for our small, sometimes “technology-challenged” team. Each team member’s accuracy and punctuality in maintaining and turning in expense reports has improved greatly since we began utilizing ReceiptScanner.

Very user friendly and easy layout. You’re able to switch between business account and personal account. I use it for both my business and household.

I started using ReceiptScanner last year. It has some bugs at first but after the update it has been better than all of the ones I’ve tried.

I have used many apps, but ReceiptScanner is incredibly user friendly, and it really is very simple to use. Tracking my expenses use to be a headache, but this one is quick & very practical. I recommend ReceiptScanner over all of them

Very user friendly and it has helped me keep my expenses organized so far! Unlimited smart uploads for free which I couldn’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend it!

ReceiptScanner is awesome and free. I am thankful for its easeful use. It reads the receipts and store the correct data from the receipt. User friendly and need to keep up with my spending especially gas

Overall great app, but it gets stuck sometimes on a blank screen and I can’t get out of ReceiptScanner . I literally have to uninstall and reinstall.😩

This is a very simple app to use and they are fair with letting you choose what you can afford to pay to use ReceiptScanner .

Easy to use and well organized.

I serve as the administrator for our organization. We have people in the field overseas that need to track expenses to account for cash advances. Easy Expense was relatively easy to setup. As an accountant I would prefer more flexibility in breaking the categories into different groups other than “Tax Deductible” and “Nondeductible”. However this is not a deal breaker. The power of having multiple workspaces for multiple users that can be on different platforms certainly compensates for any short comings. While the user interface could be a little more friendly, it is relatively good for users with varying skill sets.

I have tried a few other apps that did not fit my needs when it came down to simplicity. We are a small business HVAC and I needed my technicians to download ReceiptScanner and start using without training and that is exactly what I found here. Quickly synced his credit card use for east bank reconciliation. Easy photo of receipts. Various report formats available. And a huge plus to nearly instant response by live person when I sent message within app. This is just day 1 of use. I will update at a later date but for now, stop looking and try ReceiptScanner

ReceiptScanner has been great so far but I just noticed that most of the pictures of the receipts I’ve taken are not showing up anymore, I try and view them but they are all blacked out. Please help me to get this resolved.

It is clear thought went into ReceiptScanner and it really does show. The UI is relatively simple to navigate and from early tests scanning an input is simple and easy. A few bugs here and there but they will surely be worked out as ReceiptScanner continues to develop.

I highly recommend ReceiptScanner for business or personal needs. It’s helping me keep better track of expenses and deductions.

I have been using CamScanner for several years and then I found ReceiptScanner. Cam scanner was a good app but this is much better.

It seems now a days everyone wants money for these apps there is nothing for free so when I downloaded ReceiptScanner and they stated it is free or you pay what you consider is fair it was refreshing and nice. It works great

I downloaded for a guys’ weekend to keep track expenses and ReceiptScanner was fantastic. Intuitive to use and made settling up easy, while avoiding awkwardness.

I love ReceiptScanner last year used it to keep track of expenses. I use to add the receipt and add a photo to attach to receipt of what I bought, but now I try to do that and it zooms in on the picture trying to find the smallest print to add instead of the original photo. So frustrating I’ll have to find another app now.

So frustrating that ReceiptScanner is programmed to when you click on the dashboard tab, it takes you to settings because it wants you to turn on your location. I have clicked that I want to log trips manually and that I don’t want to share my location and it keeps asking. A little suspicious to me. Could probably give at least four stars otherwise.

You would think a receipt scanner could stitch multiple pictures together to get the full receipt in frame, because you know, they’re receipts. It also forces you to make an account. Also if you start the free trial, you better cancel it immediately and avoid a $75 dollar charge. Take the free trial cancel it and figure out ReceiptScanner is worthless without paying $75.

I’ve checked plenty of apps where I just wanted to learn about my finances and where they were going. Not only is the AI scanning of receipts pretty good but ReceiptScanner is very user friendly. It’s the one I’ve liked the most even amongst other paid apps.

I have tried many expense software packages, that have failed in my estimation. Easy Expense provides the following features that others do not
-unlimited transactions
-ability to notate trx
-saved Vendors
-easy export of trx to csv files
-tax tracking

A couple things I would love to see added to this product:
-able to save expense categories to vendors, so you dont need to select the type of transaction every time
-read the credit card extension, instead of having to select it each time
-process returns, credit notes, etc
