Holy Bible Recovery Version Reviews

Works very well and is very user friendly. I love how there is an official version by LSM available now because before you had to get a third party app which did not work great all the time. The translation for this version from the original Hebrew is second to none.

There are a few more features that need to be added for it to be 5 stars for me.

Just need to add cross device profiles (maybe login with apple) so any annotations and highlights I make on my iPad will carry over to my phone. I also would like having this so that in do need to purchase the full version multiple times. It says it the description of HolyBibleRecoveryVersion that family sharing is available allowing in-app purchase will be carried across the family but right now it is not carried out on the same Apple ID.

Having automatic dark mode where it adapts to the device settings would also be nice because you need to manually do it which is annoying.

Having an option for the swipe left to go to the previous verse instead of going to search for a verse would nice. This is how it is in most other iOS apps so continuity would be better. Having the swipe right be a combo of the verse selection with the search field being on top would be nice.

If these feature are added it is a definite 5 stars.

I appreciate being able to create profiles that allow me to keep my place and notes separate for my Bible reading. It makes it easy to keep my place. Sometimes just the discouragement of losing my place keeps me from regularly daily reading the Bible. HolyBibleRecoveryVersion has helped me read the Bible every day. I am reading in the Old Testament and the New Testament, and I feel so nourished!

Growing up as a Christian, I’ve had so much trouble trying to understand the Bible and really only had a shallow understanding of the Scriptures. But with the help of all the cross references and study notes of the Recovery version, I’m able to gain an even deeper understanding of God’s Word and develop a more intimate relationship with Him. I’m so happy there’s finally an app so I can carry all these riches in my pocket everywhere I go! 😄👏

I am a huge app critic. A very hard man to please. Additionally, the recovery version is my favorite version of the Bible (I read it daily) so I was expecting to be disappointed by HolyBibleRecoveryVersion. But no! HolyBibleRecoveryVersion is remarkable! HolyBibleRecoveryVersion flows so nicely and has amazing features (Profiles! Yes! Nailed it!). It’s amazingly simple yet very useful! I’m so encouraged and hope HolyBibleRecoveryVersion is a future vehicle for delivering LSM ministry content on iOS. Thank you so much for this amazing app!

I very much treasure my physical copies of the recovery version Bible. The footnotes, outlines and cross-references have brought me so much enlightenment and appreciation for all the books of the Bible. I’ve been waiting for HolyBibleRecoveryVersion a long time. I especially like its search function which help me to find passages & footnotes very quickly and easily. Thank you for the work that was done on this.

This is a fantastic translation of the Bible that stays close with the original Hebrew and Greek while remaining understandable.

The in app purchase unlocks the footnotes and outlines for each book of the Bible which allow you to enter into each book in the way of study.

Without the purchase you get the book of John as a preview to what these notes contain. Which help to unlock the verses in a very clear way interpreting the Bible with the Bible.

The reason for 4 stars is I think it would be nice to be able to highlight and make annotations on the footnotes themselves instead of just the verses.

Being able to add tags to verses allows you to group similar verses together for easier reference as you study and the bookmarking and highlight annotation on verses themselves are just fantastic.

As a scholar of Ancient Greek and Hebrew, I understand the difficulty of navigating the nuance of linguistic translation. I would very humbly say that this is the best translation that I have ever seen. It very carefully balances the need for literal translation and the requirements that bringing Ancient Greek and Hebrew into a target language always have. I give HolyBibleRecoveryVersion 5 stars. It is truly well made.

The content of the Recovery Version, as others users have said, is unparalleled in bringing out the meaning of God’s Word in knowledge and experience. Two things that would make this electronic version truly superb as a study resource: 1) the ability to highlight and annotate individual words and phrases, not just whole verses; and 2) the ability to annotate within footnotes.

The latest version had a bug and crashes, I haven’t been able to open it since the last update

I was very happy to see that HolyBibleRecoveryVersion is available. It is easy to use and has a nice appearance. The footnotes and cross references are also easy to access. I look forward to using HolyBibleRecoveryVersion for daily Bible reading and for study.

Everything works perfectly and is perfect for when on vacation or out doing something… no matter where you are you can enjoy the Lord!

I like the integration with the Holy Word For Morning Revival, (now that ISilo is no longer supported.)

My wife downloaded HolyBibleRecoveryVersion under family sharing and was able to use the full version (footnotes) but sometime afterwards, when a footnote was selected a window came up instructing her to purchase full version or restore purchase. Is in app purchases (full version) supported under family sharing?

Really love this Bible app! Easy to use and efficient. I can keep several reading schedules/interests going at once. The study notes are by far the best attribute. Highly recommend!

Not anywhere are you going to have more cross reference than here with the Recovery Version. The Recovery version Holy Bible is a true treasure to the Lords economy here on earth. Once you start you can’t put it down.

Fluid navigation. Light feel to the design keeps focus on reading. Quick access to footnotes. Will be my go to Bible.

Love this Bible app and very helpful for the study and enjoyment of the Word of God! Would love the functionality to annotate (highlight) sections of both verses and footnotes as well as manually reordering annotations/bookmarks.
