Like many others have mentioned...the costs to buy the crystals in order to unlock chapters is just insane...I’ve purchased bundles but some of the books have 100s of chapters (not joking) and when each chapter costs 11+ crystals, you can easily spend over $100 on crystals and STILL not have enough to finish a book. It’s beyond ridiculous, especially when the translation in a lot of the stories make it hard to read because of the grammar. After I run out of crystals I just purchased I woll be deleting Flipread ...if an online story costs more than buying a hardcover book, I’m not interested. I’d rather just make up my own ending...

You only get a few chapters before needing optional crystals. Guess what, the crystals are not free (minus to two you get per rating per chapter). The free ones given to you get you further sucked into a book by giving you three additional chapters then that’s it.

The book I read was poorly translated (read: bad voice, inconsistent vocabulary), and it was 500 chapters. That’s too expensive. I also believe it’s one of those places where the writers give daily chapters or weekly (whatever) and you get more and more BUT I’d rather buy a book elsewhere or read free ones on WEBTOON than pay per chapter for some silly books.

The goal is to get you wanting to continue the story. But you have to pay for coins. Books can easily cost over $30... which is ridiculous because you can get a new release hardcover book for less than that from a well known author. And many of these stories have several grammatical errors. I don’t mind spending up to $5 or so for a story like they offer, but not more than that. Horrible. If I could give zero stars I would.

Do not download Flipread thinking you can actually read anything till the end. Only 15 chapters are unlocked and then you have to pay with crystals to unlock 5 page chapters. You end up paying way over $50 to read one book that you will have to even wait for to be completed for ages. It is a total waste of time and money

Like everyone has mentioned, it’s very expensive to read these books. With that being said, I’ve decided to pay anyway because I found a book I truly liked! So here I am paying top dollars to get the bigger bundle to get more crystals for my buck....and guess what? The book that I like have stopped updating! It’s been over two months going on three months and still nothing! I feel so bamboozled!

I don’t mind spending money to read a good book, but it’s just ridiculous how I’m paying to read each chapter and spend over $20 to finish one book. Some books have over 200 chapters! Why can’t we just buy the whole book instead of paying for every chapter? Please do something about this.

The stories in Flipread are very good - until you find out they never update them after a certain point. You pay a ton of money to get to the point where they say it’s being updated, and three months later there’s still nothing. It really annoys me. I have to quit using it

Similar to other apps readers have to pay for stories, but are able to earn points from completing daily tasks as alternative. Haven’t had much of chance to explore since pretty much all of the stories have to be payed for at some point. There may be free ones, but I haven’t seen any and don’t place too much hope on that.  ​  ​

The stories seem to be interesting. I got hooked from a story I saw on Facebook and downloaded Flipread to continue reading. You need coins to unlock chapters. You can complete tasks or just buy them. The price of coins seems to be more than I would ever pay to read a hardcover novel though so I guess I will just earn the coins to continue reading.  ‌

I’ve read a review on Flipread and I totally don’t agree, you don’t have pay you can wait for the next chapter. Sometimes I wait some times I pay and then I earn coins so yeah I really enjoy Flipread I love the books I can spend 9 dollars and read two books and I sent the link to a couple friends and they really enjoy it to!!        ‌

This is an incredible app with awesome stories. I do not understand the complaints about the coin situation. These authors spent several hours writing these stories and it is our duty as readers to support their talents. The mentality of enjoying their work for free does not sit well with me. I was happy to purchase coins for the stories I enjoyed. All the best to you guys. You are a talented bunch!  ‌ ‍

I absolutely love Flipread! I’ve read three and a half books so far and I feel in love with each of them. They were written well and if it was a stand alone book it did not have a hung cliffhanger at the end (I hate when authors do that😩). But anyway, I love Flipread and definitely would recommend to others.​‍  ‍​

I really enjoy Flipread. Found the story on Facebook and it instantly had my attention. I would purchase my books/readings from here but I’m not buying coins just for them to run out quicker than the story.      ‌

Grammar is not the best, it disrupts the read. Definitely don’t like that you have to purchase every chapter. I think in general the idea of Flipread is wonderful. ‍    ​
