First, let me start by saying I’ve now attempted three different times to rent a car from them. Every single time something has happened resulting in the trip being canceled. The first time, apparently they didn’t have their insurance in line. The second time, they missed quoted the price of the car and then charged my card on amount twice as much as the check out. They later credited me the entire amount only because they canceled the rideAfter asking for an additional $3000 deposit for the car.

Secondly, it seems like a poor business model or a bait and switch to list the cars for one price but have a requirement of minimum insurance for a different amount. Unlike the Turo appWhich allows you to opt out for insurance if you have a good coverage or tells you upfront what the fees will be Period I was looking forward to utilizing carSHAiR as an alternative, however, I’ve been so turned off with their performance and onerous requirements rat I will likely delete carSHAiR .

Hopefully they can get their act together for their investors sake, because it seems like this model will eventually be doomed to failure. I mean really who requires thousands of dollars to rent a $200/day car for one day

I was excited to book a car for my bday, I kept getting denied and when I reached out they said it was because of my driving record. But I’ve never had an accident in my life. Also no tickets. so I’m not sure where they’re getting that info from. I’m really disappointed because I was looking forward to booking a car but I guess I’ll take my business elsewhere.

carSHAiR needs a lot of improvements! I can only check in a trip 2 hours before the trip start time, not sure why I cannot check in anytime if my car is ready as a host!
Uploading photos is a nightmare, why do I need to upload photos under 7 different categories, put it all together and call it a day, why over complicating the process!
After the photos are uploaded, there is no way to view them or add more photos!
It takes 5 business days to get paid for a completed trip, this is just too long!
I have filed couple reimbursement requests for gas refill and smoking violation, one week later and still not paid and when I contact support they keep saying that the reimbursement team will review and come back to me and nothing so far! When I contacted the guest, she said she cannot see any reimbursement requests from me on her app. She even sent me a screen recording and she is correct, nothing on her app!
I am unlisting my two cars after two trips, too much headache with delayed or lost income

If you are a HOST, then STAY AWAY from this company!!! The customer caused more than $5,000 damage to the car. The representative of the company first arranged bureaucracy, and then they stopped answering the phone and email altogether. They are trying in every possible way to avoid compensation of damage to the car.

Every car I’ve try booking got canceled or vehicle had maintenance issue. Instead of carSHAiR updating and removing the vehicle until the vehicle is actually is ready to be rented. It like false advertisement. You have the hope that you would be able to book the car because you have to reserve 2 hours ahead of time. But it really like a bait cars. You won’t be able to rent the vehicle. The host are constantly canceling. No later if the agent reach out. I’m a person who check reviews and judge based of that. I let my guard down and look the reviews were right. It truly a waste of time.

So I had rented a car from them off Turo a while back and they reached out saying they have an app now so I tried. it had me put alll my info in (driver license, personal info, picture etc) only for me to be “unapproved” . I asked Moses to elaborate and he couldn’t. How am I unapproved with a spot free driving record?? Huge wast of time! In my opinion they are just collecting peoples information to sell. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE ON carSHAiR!!!

How is this even a viable option compared to something like Turo? In an area like Los Angeles where the options should be more than plentiful, with no specific search parameters selected, it gave me ONE option(!!) I think an Audi A3. How is that viable? There just isn’t enough cars on carSHAiR for anyone to even bother checking it, especially considering the prices aren’t any better than the competition. If cool cars were priced competitively, maybe that could differentiate it from the competition, but until then, I’ll stick to Turo... or even Hertz/Avis which really is saying something.

I like shair car. I give them 4 stars. Why? That’s none of ya. Lol. Just kidding. But anyways Brett was super helpful. He is the reason why I will rent with SHAir again in the nearest future.

The Idea is unique, the interface is Easy to navigate at and runs smoothly. I can’t wait to add my cars to the platform.

Simple to navigate and easy to see different options as a driver and upload options as an owner.

The SHAiR team was so helpful and responsive when trying to get my account set up, payment etc.

When I picked up the vehicle, everything was immaculate and the men who helped me were so helpful with any questions I had about the car and even offered to help me with my luggage.

The car was so amazing to drive, in fact, I want to buy one now! Haha!

carSHAiR is easy to use and easy on the eyes! Within seconds I was shown all of my local auto options. Booking your next set of wheels is just a few clicks away!

I love to rent the Ferrari’s and Lamborghini’s. They start out as a good fair price. But once SHAiR adds their charges and you have to go with the client’s insurance the vehicles cost more than it would at a regular high end car rental business. The regular cars are definitely a bargain.

What a brilliant concept. Win-win for both owners and renters! On top of that the 24/7 customer support is awesome! Takes a bit work to get verified but other than that the collection of cars they have on here are phenomenal! Definitely will be a repeat business!

What an amazing and cutting edge platform to share my vehicles on! The process is seamless and easy to sign up and carSHAiR has given me the opportunity to drive cars I would have never had the opportunity to afford prior. Way better than any competitor I’ve seen!

Luxury, exotic and more type vehicles to rent or rent out at your fingertips. App is easy to use and set up. Very secure verification process made me feel really safe. There were a couple minor glitches which I understand and the this app Conciege team was there to help me through with ease. Love the experience I had and will be back for more.

I was looking to test drive an R8 before I buy and this was the best way to get the whole experience with the car vs just taking it a few turns around the block from the dealership. I rented for a week and absolutely loved it! The customer service was bar none. FINALLY a rental car company that actually picks up the phone to speak to its customers.

I may not be the most hip and up to date guy when it comes to technology. But the ShAir app was easy to use. Almost as easy as opening a box of Cheerios. Thank you for making carSHAiR intuitive and simple for people who are not technology savvy.

When I finished putting my car on carSHAiR , I did a little dance. Good thing no one was watching. These hips don’t lie.

Since renting a 2019 convertible, red leather interior, Corvette Sting Ray for my 30th birthday, I haven’t be able to stop thinking about it!!!

You have to be creative these days when it comes to celebrating. Coming across Shair was the best thing that could have happened! I spoke to Fricky (who was amazing,) from beginning to end with tons of questions and he had tons of answers! I gave him my budget and we settled on the StingRay. I could barely sleep the night before picking it up and almost cried when I had to drop it off.

I’ve told EVERYONE about Shair and will continue to. My only gripe about it it all is carSHAiR for when signing up/creating your profile. It kicked me off once in the middle and was very picky with uploading DL and/or self pictures for verification but it was not the end of the world by any means. Can’t wait for another excuse to rent from Shair!

I never even made it past the authorization code stage. carSHAiR immediately crashed during setup. Garbage.

I could not post my car for rent once I put all info with vin, mileage and trans the NEXT button doesn’t work and won’t take me to the next step

Please help???

-4 stars! Hmmm...if being excited about getting yo work to provide for your family is a crime...Carshair is the roadblock. I was not granted the permission of using their platform. When I inquired as to why I was blocked from there platform. Very professional considering they'll process the fee so fast your head spins. I wish I could post pics...oh well, yelp, google they have review areas too.

I tried to register …the app has problems..then a live chat agent Dana replied to me in the most degrading and demeaning manor.. and basically told me To check back in 4 to 6 months ..and I was not good enough to ise they’re services and to continue use turo…when I think I just needed to complete registration
