I can’t start a new workout because GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger just crashes when I hit the plus button and select a workout.
Pro version was supposed to be free today on App Advice’s free app of the day. There is an automatic banner that pops up telling me I don’t have internet access and can’t upgrade to pro for free. Apparently since I’m posting this here and was able to download GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger , my internet is fine. This smells like a bait and switch. If it’s not, open it back up for free, otherwise, I'm contacting GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger advice app and letting them know this was a scam to get more downloads.
It seems like it could be an awesome app, but there just aren’t any features. The rest times are different than what the gzcl program recommends, you can’t use it with multiple devices (like an iPhone and an iPad ), and there are no instructions on GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger on what to even do. I guess it’s made for people who already know a lot about the program and GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger is just a supplement. Hope it gets improved though.
Cool app, but can’t start a Jacked & Tan cycle on GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger because it keeps crashing. Better off using another app until they fix it.
The rest timer is difficult to change on iPhone (SE 2nd Gen) and it doesn’t seem to keep notes from previous sessions on the next session. Also it calculates the weight wrong when you failed one week or change the weight yourself.
Got a new phone and lost all of my workout history and stats :( GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger would benefit from being able to login and save your progress, or possibly export your stats at least to save them locally if you ever switch devices. Really sad to have lost all my stats :(
Changing reps and weight within each workout needs to put keyboard behind the current value instead of in front. Or it should automatically clear the value instead of having 0 by default.
Great app but the input functionality needs to be cleaned up.
Recommendation for alarm to play even if GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger is closed/inactive.
Used for 2 years. A lot of progressions don’t work and not a ton of customization. I’d pay more for these features than the $5.
Workout plan helped me jump start again, just wish there was options to vary plans between heavier lifting and cardio based plyo workouts.
I just wish it had Apple Health Integration. Couldn’t find it in GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger anywhere.
Update: TM has stayed at 0% for every movement for nearly a year now. What gives?
Really good app for anyone following these methods of training. Would really like to see customizable weight progressions then this will be 5/5 for me.
Loving the workout plan so far. Only issue I e had so far is trying to add a new exercise that is not already on the list. After adding the exercise name, muscles, equipment, and saving it all it does it place the triangle symbol on the list but no name or data that was entered. Otherwise it’s going good so far.
I was using a google sheet page to track my progress and it was super annoying. All other apps are bloated with terrible ads or just not functional enough.
This is customizable, non-intrusive, and straight forward.
Excellent app. Simple, yet has all the calculations you need. Love it.
Finally an app dedicated to GZCL! GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger is amazing! I wouldn’t say it’s perfect just yet, for me, but it’s very close to it. The developer is definitely making progress and I look forward to the updates.
Impressive!
So far, GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger is great for any of the GZCL programs. It looks very clean and straightforward to use.
As for some suggestions to further improve GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger :
The inclusion of adding/removing exercises would be great to further customize our workout programs.
Adding some sort of graph to see our progress over time would be immensely helpful and cool to see.
Maybe add a General Gainz workout option wherein the user is able to create a custom template?
You could add some sort of FAQ page about the GZCL method as a whole, which runs down the definition of tiers and why you would pick one program over another so that people who aren’t too well informed about the principles of GZCL can have some guidance of what to do.
Other than that, I am eager to see how GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger will grow since it has so much potential.
Nice work!
Would love to see a 'total workout time' added as a feature. I like to keep mine around an hour, so being able to track that workout after workout would be great.
First GZCLP app I’ve used that has no discerning quirks.
Great app by a member of the reddit community, and just what I needed to start this routine. Immediate purchase. Great job!
You’ve really got something here, if you keep tweaking and growling it. As far as what I recommend-
Warm up sets
Rep range customization
Gzclp we put or training maxes in just like all the other programs.
Keep progressing GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger . Excited to see what will come!
Made by a Redditor on his free time, obviously needs more time to flesh out the details but very much a great app for us die hard GZCL fans. Burrito gang represent!

Used a ton of different apps in GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger store, this one makes it dead simple to follow GZCL programming and seems to be the only one that does a decent job tracking Jacked and Tan 2.0
I have improved in every area of strength using GZCLMethodWorkoutLogger and the program inside. Simple and barebones but highly effective.
First time I’ve logged workouts regularly. Clean user interface, flexible, and intuitive. Variety of GZCL variants programmed, but I’ve stuck with the original. Nothing but good things to say!
I’m tired of printing off worksheets and wanted to use my phone. I discovered this new app and even found an active GZCL community on Reddit and the author is active there.
It’s pretty intuitive but hopefully there will be directions and other requested features soon.
I’m torn between 4 and 5 stars.
Super simple to use app with several different training cycles available, all easily adjustable and the theory behind cody’s programs is easy to understand and adapt. Have come back to it several times to make easy progression without killing myself and spending hours in the gym everyday in between other more focused programs!

Let the app hand the math so you can focus on the thing that matters, getting stronger.
But it is difficult to plan and track the programs using a spreadsheet.
