This is one of the best planner apps I have seen, but the tasks really need some work to make it amazing. It’s great that you can sync IOS Reminder lists but there is no option to choose which lists to sync. Also, all of the synced lists are put in alphabetical order and there is no way to change how they are sorted, this is super frustrating. It would also be great if you could create groups to sort the task lists into. Without some way to sort and group the task lists it is impossible to separate things like work task lists and personal task lists. Finally, it would be really nice to have an option to have undated tasks show up in the today view. Other then the issues with the tasks the calendar views and functionality is great! I love that I can pick up tasks in the week view and drag them to a different day if I need to reschedule. I also love all of the colors for the different calendars, this makes it great to have my personal and work calendar in one view! Definitely worth the one time purchase and I’m hopeful that it will continue to be developed and improved.

I am loving AnyPlan so far. I have purchased a few digital planners in the past and it became cumbersome to set up with so many options and formats. I found AnyPlan, liked the formats and options, and really appreciate that it is just set up and I input the info! I did have an initial issue syncing to another device, but support was incredibly fast and helpful in resolving the issue and as of today, all is good! Would definitely recommend AnyPlan for someone like me who has had a hard time going from old school paper (which has been hard!) to a digital platform. Knowing they respond quickly and even accept suggestions makes me confident that this will be a successful organization tool for me for a long time! Only 4 stars at this time because I have literally only had it active for 3 days!

I really like the features this calendar app has, however, one major drawback is you cannot backup your data. You should be able to export the Title and Description embedded in all your events, tasks and notes. When they recently updated AnyPlan you lose everything. Everything!!!

Granted they make all kinds of genuine apologies for the “inconvenience“, but that doesn’t make it any better.

The main reason you have repeating events is so you don’t have to keep adding them to the calendar. Ongoing tasks that have not been completed yet are another thing that you do not want to have to re-create. Completed tasks are searchable and are valuable records of what was done or agreed to, however once they are gone, they are gone. Good luck trying to recall what you did a year or two ago.

I have requested they make a change to allow you to export events, tasks and notes (a native file format that is compatible with updated versions would be preferable, a cvs would work too, even a text file is better than nothing). Without this capability AnyPlan is no better than my standard iPhone calendar app.

Absent this one serious drawback, I think it would be a five-star app.

I have been using AnyPlan for a short time and am impressed with its design and interface. The developers have approached this app design with the idea that everything is at your finger tips - no small icons inconveniently placed that reveal a hidden feature - all tabs are visible and easily accessible. Notes tabs can be changed to suit ones needs and uses. I have contacted the developer regarding two important issues I think needs modified - the ability to add more than 3 images and the ability to import PDFs - and they have responded within 12 hours! Additionally, their information addressed my query was professional and polite!

Read the developer’s overview for information then download it and try it out.

I’m finally transitioning from a traditional write in Agenda/journal/Calendar in hopes to be fully engaged with just a digital Agenda by 2021. I’ve tried two others online/app formats and by far this has been the easiest for me. Love the layout, my brain still makes the connection with the schedule for the day by being able to turn pages to the week or shuffle through the months ahead. Great task area with check-off boxes, a must for me. Notes, you still have to type in but maybe in the near future would be nice to use iPens (journal) or dictation for the Notes. Also an event scheduled to an address/ GPS connectivity would be a game changer for sure. Overall very happy with it even if it’s late in the year. I look forward to continuing with it this year full of constant variables (2020) and next year too.

I bought the old version of AnyPlan, but because there were apparently similarly named apps in the Apple App store, the makers alerted me that they’d transfer my subscription to a new product. I’ve only had it for a few days, so I’ve barely used this new version. However, the pro-active alert as to why they were discontinuing the old app and the effort they made to immediately transfer my subscription to the new app was above and beyond.

I wrote them and got a response within an hour, perhaps faster.

AnyPlan, like the old one, is easy to use and easy to synch with your existing calendar if you want to. Items show up automatically. It has useful features that I rely on. Give the free version a try. Upgrading for the other features is worth the small amount they ask.

I used the original app first and was in love with that one. I was a bit bummed when I received the email that it was going away and that I would need to switch to this version. However, this one is EVEN BETTER!
Before, the calendar view on my phone looked the same as AnyPlan that is already on the iPhone, so I mainly used it on my iPad and only looked at my phone when I needed to double check something. But now the phone app looks like a planner as well and I LOVE it!
It syncs with my MacBook calendar, my iPad, and my watch (since it works well with the Apple calendar app).
I’ve always been a planner user but could never completely switch to digital planners because it didn’t have the visual organization I needed. But this one has it! Freedom from toting a paper planner (and now my iPad as all!) all over the place is awesome! 👍👍

I have literally used most calendar and planner apps that are offered. When I finally found AnyPlan’s predecessor, Time Planner, I had finally found the easiest, yet most useful planner I had ever used and have been using it for a very long time.

When Tick Planner was offered, I found it to be like Time Planner, but even more refined. My only disappointment is that tasks are not shown in the Time Line of the Day view. Nevertheless, I’m informed that it will be included in the next release. Until then, I’ll continue using Time Planner and will keep checking back for their next release.

This is a fine app with very fast, responsive product support. Even without the task integration with the time line it must have five solid stars!

I have tried multiple calendar apps. I kept looking for “the one” that I would actually use. This calendar is it. It is pretty intuitive, has lots of options to customize it to suit my needs. I see there have been some complaints about the reminders but I don’t use them that much and they work fine for what I use them for - I use the Apple Reminders app. I like the calendar’s appearance, the layout, the font options, the ability to use some or all of my email calendars using different colors (I have 6 for different purposes: two Gmail, three Outlook and iCloud), the repeating options for events, the notes, and not having to pay a monthly charge -a big plus!

I have been trying different planners for years. I try paper planners, but hate that I need to carry a big, bulky planner in my purse and it always becomes messy and I stop using it. Digital planning is great, but the other apps I have used will be missing one or two features that really make them work or I’ll use google calendar and a separate to do app. This is the first app that combines everything I want into one simple app. It feels and looks like a paper planner, but with the organization and efficiency of a digital calendar, to do list and notebook. My notes are on the day I took them on the calendar so I can flip back and find information I need. All I can say is BUY AnyPlan. Is perfect!

I have had most all the other apps for this type of planning and or journaling. This one covers the bases. Allows pictures and edits of those pictures. Allows handwriting and typing. Allows memos and reminders that sync with your regular apps. Ties seamlessly into your calendar. And the home run is that it is not a subscription. One time purchase! So far I enjoy the options of font and themes. If anything changes I will update, but for now it is the best bang for the buck. Update: This is still AnyPlan I use everyday and with these new improvements, it just got better! Thanks this app!

Switched from previous version of app at the direction of developer. Have attempted to contact developer three times as they directed following their instructions with no response. Current app is nowhere as good as previous version. Would not recommend that you spend your time and certainly not your money.

Update to last review. Developer has worked with me to correct the upgrade issue. AnyPlan is very clean and straight forward. I would gladly recommend AnyPlan to my friends. Look forward to coming upgrades and features.

Update to previous reviews. Program is serving me well, with no issues.

I have spent way too much money on Etsy trying to find a digital replacement for my old Franklin Covey planner pages. None of them made me happy. They were too much work and usually lost motivation after so many steps just to write a shopping list. Decided to swing through AnyPlan Store and here we are !!! I feel like this is almost exactly what I was looking for. The handwriting and smooth conversion was a pleasant surprise. I only downloaded it based on the photos and am being WOWED at every turn. I hope this is truly the end of my search and the product that I need. Please keep up the great work.

I searched through a million planner reviews & top 10 lists & tried so many of them, and this is the only one that totally met my needs. It’s beautiful & looks wonderfully like a paper planner... complete with page-turning animations. Love the intuitive tasks & all the views are fabulous. Everything syncs seamlessly. And it’s not only better but also SO MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE than the other highly rated apps—with just a small one-time fee instead of these stupid annual subscription rip-offs. On top of all this, I’ve contacted customer service a couple times and they’ve responded promptly & have been super helpful. Hands down, probably my best app experience EVER.

I had to upgrade to AnyPlan since their previous one was no longer being supported in AnyPlan Store and I am so glad I did! I am a planner addict and have had several paper planners, electronic planners, bullet journals and I still switch back-and-forth at times but this one is so aesthetically pleasing but at the same time it helps you stay organized with your appointments, things to do, and thoughts. The fact that you can also categorize your to do list with icons and colors, colorcode calendars, tag your thoughts… Makes it so amazing! Thank you for taking the time to make such a beautiful, productive tool.
