This is my second review. My first one was yesterday and apparently deleted by the owners of AMSConnect. That is very unprofessional. I am hearing impaired and wear hearing aids. With the alerts they offer I CAN NOT HEAR it when I am sleeping. Is it to much to ask for a low frequency alert/alarm? All they offer is high frequency alerts. I am a nurse in a cardiac cath lab. I have a 30 minute response time to get to the hospital. I work in a cardiac cath lab. If someone is having a heart attack every second counts. I have complained to my supervisor and the hospital I work for has done nothing about it. This is discrimination against the hearing impaired. How hard would it be to upload more low frequency alerts so can hear this?

AMSConnect should not be used in a medical setting. It can take up to 30 minutes to log on to app to see who paged you.
So far no serious medical issues with my patients with the delay, but I am scared every time I begin the login process.

I like the idea of it, but i really do not like how it is implemented. As a surgeon often scrubbed into the OR, I am forced to share my passcode to my phone with everyone in the OR so that a page can be answered. My personal privacy is being sacrificed to maintain patient privacy. Both need to be maintained. I understand maintaining patient privacy, but this was not an issue with pagers so I don’t understand why it is suddenly an issue with phones.

Getting middle of the night pages is never fun, but part of the job. Getting repeated middle of the night alerts for “unread pager messages” from AMS connect when no unread pager messages actually exist is maddening. I’m coerced to use this product, please improve it.

I hate how it keeps notifying you every single minute of a new message until you open it. Very annoying. Viewing it is not enough, you must actually click on the page for it to shut up. There is no way to turn this extremely annoying feature off.

They keep saying they will update this to work properly with Apple Watch, or with functioning alarms, or with banners so I don’t have all the medical students knowing my phone pin to answer pages when scrubbed in- last time they said it would happen today( June 13th) - still hasn’t happened

App no longer works with dark mode enabled on iPhone. It blanks out all your screen so you can’t see anything. This happens on all iPhones that have dark mode on all the time. App also doesn’t work on Apple Watch. An overhaul of AMSConnect needs to take place to bring it up to standards. It reminds me of working with physical pagers, which it was supposed to replace!

I wish that AMSConnect would stay logged in longer than just a day. I can’t get a message when I’m driving and then need to log in to the entire program before seeing the message.

So many issues with freezing or just outright not loading, sometimes it just loads on the login screen until I close AMSConnect , other times I can’t even access my messages.

Still could be better. A Face ID option for login would be nice since the keyboard layout is different from computer to phone and it means I need to look up a computer layout to remember my password. Also wish the rules about how long before you are logged out were easily accessible. I wish the pager app had instructions for how to change iPhone settings to allow tones to come through.

I have to change my password every time I sign in. I work once per month and it is very annoying. Also even when I put myself down as off duty I have all the trauma messages in my message folder. Again-annoying

AMS is a great app, but could be much better and much more helpful to our organization if it included a scanning feature to scan documents.

Wish we could’ve implemented AMSConnect sooner at our facility this is a game changer and HIPAA compliant

You’ll never realize how freeing it is not to have to carry around an obsolete physical pager. AMSConnect has been life-changing. Highly recommend. If you are able to get your colleagues to adopt this as well you are able to send pages back and forth like text messages. All the while maintaining HIPAA-compliance. Give it a shot, you won’t want to go back to the old pager after trying.

AMSConnect is super easy to use and functionality very simple but effective.

AMSConnect is wonderful I have everything in one device. I carry my pager where cell coverage is weak and can leave it at home and use AMSConnect on my phone the rest of the time.

AMSConnect is a game changer for us. On call is now much more efficient for our staff. It has changed the way we respond to critical messages when on and off call.

We have been using AMS Connect for over a year and are very impressed with the stability of the platform.
