I have invested a lot of money in this game. It is constantly ‘glitching’. The main character - Oliver- doesn’t pick things up or doesn’t do the task you selected- and I kept using all the extra options to get through the levels. But now I am in the Arabian Nights hotel and Oliver is not filling the candy/pop machine. He gets the supplies- but won’t go to the machine to add them. This is at several places within the game. I tried to have him add them at the beginning of the level- nope- that didn’t work. I then waited until someone actually wants something from the machine- nope- that doesn’t work. All the ‘guests’ line up for something from the machine, and to actually complete the level, I kept paying 10 diamonds every time a customer wanted something, got angry, and didn’t get it. I then paid the diamonds to continue because the game would stop for every dissatisfied customer. I have tried playing this level for several days- not using any more diamonds. Always ends for unhappy customers. I’ve finally decided that I’m done. What’s that definition of insanity again- doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result? Yeah....no.

Was a good game earlier. Was adequately difficult and deserved a 5 star rating actually because of its simple elegant game design. Now if it is impossible to pass levels second hotel onwards even with using power ups. All the initial guests now seem to be wanting to get photos after going through reception which means that there is no way any early guests can leave fast and allow you to clean out rooms. Secondly only the early guests seem to be ordering anything at all and boy are they ordering thick and fast and simultaneously. There is no way to complete this without leveling up your barbecue and juice machines and rooms and using power ups as well. The last 4-5 guests just come and go which means there is no way to make up likes or money etc. if that is your goal for the level (stars are maybe easier for later guests but again no chance to meet level goal given you didn’t get stars from earlier guests. colored matched room goals for guests is also impossible given early guests do not seem to leave early at all and just keep ordering and blocking rooms). I mean if you cannot make it through levels even with using power ups what are you supposed to do. Uninstalled.

I sort of enjoyed the game when I played the first couple of levels. After that I realized I was not so fond of the game. It’s clearly a game that requires someone not against in app purchases(I will delete a game before that point) they make the levels literally almost impossible to where you have to use the little bit of boost you do have. And every upgrade requires 4 or more gems and you only get gems either in the daily rewards or after you’ve opened the third prize box which you have to obviously beat levels in order to do so. The second hotel is pretty much what made me decide to delete that app because even from the first level it’s made for you to not meet the game level requirements at all....good thing I’d saved up on power ups from playing the previous hotel but I shouldn’t have to struggle so hard at the beginning of the game especially when I’m not given the chance to store up coins or power ups. This is literally like my second App Store review out of all the apps I’ve downloaded and used on my phone and it was worth the rant because clearly I’m not tripping and other people are feeling a bit cheated...I knew there was a reason I always skipped over downloading this game🙄 waste of my patience

Pretty good game but needs work for starters these upgrades cost gems and money and we don’t get many gems! Also these customers want the same things at the same time and the appliances only make one! The boosters are 10 gems for 1 and the upgrades are like 5 gems a piece and the videos we watch only gives us 2 gems per video and we can only get watch 1 video every few hours. Then when I’m tapping the screen the door man doesn’t move! Might I make a suggest the first few upgrades should cost only money then work our way to gems. Allow us 5 videos a day if we’re only going to get 2 gems. Instead of 10 gems and I booster it should be 10 gems and 3 boosters! Also if you’re not going to use any of that then can you add another doorman? I will have 4 orders for the skewer and it only makes one salmon at a time. The teapot is very slow at making the tea and truthfully those berries are just extra for no reason. It sometimes not majority of the time it feels like you want us to lose so bad that we spend real money on the packages but kids who play the game can’t do that which will make them delete DoormanStoryHotelsimulator and play something else!

At first the game seemed fun. But I’ve been stuck on level 8 with no way out without spending money. Level 8, not that high up. Was only able to be forced to buy 2 upgrades with in game currency coins provided by the game. Not enough for another upgrade. No ad-supported ways to get coins, which I would do. I did dive into paying $1.99 for the gumball machine to get the extra 👍 I need to complete the level. Hardest I try, I am always 1 👍 short. My bell boy is too slow cleaning rooms, no free way to change that.

Update: I had to wait until the 5th day of playing to get enough diamonds from the daily rewards to upgrade the cleaning time to move past the level. Gumball purchase was still needed. Yes developer, I could technically wait weeks at a time to collect those diamonds to get the coins for other upgrades. How would that be fun to wait that long? It’s also funny that most of the helpful things come after completing level 9, such as the auto income every 4 hours, ad watching for diamonds and the patience candy.

I would like to also point out that I’ve tried to lookup someone else completing level 8, and it was a coin based goal, not a like based goal. So obviously you changed that in some update but didn’t test it out to see if it was an appropriate difficulty level for a brand new gamer with only 182 coins left from prior levels.

I’m on the Japanese Sakura Hotel and I swear everything is rigged for you to lose now. It’s incredibly frustrating. I pretty much had to use all my boosters back in the Forest Lake Hotel because that had too many glitches so I’m now stuck. The set up alone in this hotel is confusing. Customers come in way too fast back to back to get any work done. I have to keep using boosters especially the speed booster(which i barley have because the gift boxes after you pass a certain lvl mainly gives diamonds) to even make to my goal and I’m only on like lvl 7. And the wait times still don’t seem like enough even after you upgrade equipments. When i try to get the bellboy to the orders sometimes it doesn’t work and he stalls there wasting time and i have to press the action 3 or 4 times and then that just doubles a order so now his hands are full when I have other customers that want something else(same goes for the receptionist) so now the customers are upset and leave(even before they make it to a room) which makes it even harder to pass a lvl that has that as a goal or to get likes and smiles. Like sometimes i just log in to get the daily coins and log out because it’s just too much. It would help if you add an extra bellboy and receptionist, even throw in extra rooms.

Wanted to love this game. I testgames like this for members of my support groups. It can help soothe neurological diverse individuals who also happen to have some functionality challenges. I am even clever enough to have a budget in my program here at UC for in app purchases for the 72 members of my social service network who participate. Gaming groups in low income communities helps create social capital, Helps autistic women relieve free flowing anxiety and even can help an HIV+ person with adherence issues. I am one of the lucky people who get to play games without too much concern about how much money I spend because I’m spending the university’s cash ... but daaaammmmnnn does this ‘ish crash a lot. On my new iPhone, on my research assistant’s iPhone ...and unlike many other time management games there is zero option for continuous upgrades and no return to previous levels. My job is to trick people into having fun so they can access tools for better choices in theirs lives for better health. This game does not assist that goal. I’ll finish the 3rd level(hotel) but ultimately will cross off the list for my clients; “Its a no for me dog”

I actually like this game and I’m not a gamer per se. But every time there is an update be ready for a glitch to happen. The most recent one is pretty big to me though. Recently when my bellboy grabs anything it automatically doubles in his hands which makes it difficult to pass levels that require not to toss out any excess to pass that level. So if you tap once on hot tea, fish or even the trash...two automatically appear in his hands and it throws off your distribution schedule. So as a non-gamer who has spent money on this game it’s pretty disappointing cause with all the glitches that randomly appear you never know when you’re going to be set up for automatic failure which in some cases means losing your real money sent. I’ve tried reporting it but this issue still hasn’t been resolved. And after reading some of the other reviews if I delete DoormanStoryHotelsimulator for reinstall I’ll lose all my progress and money spent. So something to be mindful of when playing this game. I’m currently on the 3rd board level 60 of the cabins. And unfortunately with the latest glitch I don’t think I’ll passing it anytime soon. Totally just wasted my money.

I don’t normally review games, they’re either good or they’re not 🤷‍♀️ I have been loving this game. It’s a great time filler and it’s fun! However, there are a few things that could be fixed to help make the game even better.
1. The coins and gems.. so far I haven’t had too hard of a time collecting coins, but gems are hard to come by. And since you have to have those to upgrade, then it makes it almost impossible to pass the levels. I have spent real money because I got tired of repeating the same level over and over again, so I decided I would just buy gems just so I could upgrade a few things. I have no problem purchases with real money once in a great while, but I’m not doing it all the time. Maybe come up with different ways to earn the gems other than the gift boxes you get for passing levels.
2. Please take away the confusion of the little guy!! It throws everything off and takes up time when you’re trying to get him to do other things. Which, again, makes it hard to pass levels that are already impossible to pass.
3. I go through the little tutorial when you add a new booster, and every single time it ends up freezing. So, I either have to quit the game I’m on or exit out of the game completely. I’ve had this happen OCCASIONALLY with other games in the past, but never this much. And every time I have to quit, it takes a life away.

I really do like this game, even love it BUT I'm growing more and more frustrated with the levels and access to diamonds without having to constantly keep paying. You can only earn 2 diamonds within a 24 hour period but to upgrade to be able to pass a level it costs like 5-7 diamonds. I’d rather have to pay for DoormanStoryHotelsimulator than constantly keep buying expensive diamonds.

Also, after waiting months and months for new levels, they are nearly impossible to pass without spending your diamonds AND using special items like fast feet etc. I expect to be challenged but it’s getting out of control. I just played a perfect game (all my guest left with a smile) and used fast feet and my hotel is almost completely upgraded and still didn’t pass the level. How?

Another thing, why is it 10 diamonds to continue a level after it’s over and you haven’t won? Sometimes I’m only 5 coins away or one like but it charges the same price as if I need a lot of extra to complete it?

This game is nice, and reminds me of Cooking Diary, but I’m stuck... And I can’t progress.

Regardless of how many times I retry a level (even one with the speed boost on Oliver) I earn nothing and the primary objective of the game is to steadily upgrade equipment using the money you earn. I am stuck at 12 coins and cannot upgrade my equipment at all—I am only on level 15. It appears the game wanted you to level up the prices of goods, but I was focused on the time it took to produce the goods. Now, I’m at a stalemate—I cannot earn enough coins to complete a level.

Overall, it’s a good game; it would be nicer if you were able to keep some if not all the coins you earned through your failed retries so there was hope you could upgrade something for a higher chance of success your next try. At the moment, I am stuck waiting for money from some other source like daily rewards or passive money from in-game locations... Which is 3 hours later. But perhaps for some people by that time, interest in the game may dwindle.

I’ve been addicted to this game for the last two months or so. I beat the first four hotels pretty fast and waited patiently for the newest hotel to be added on. However, since this new update the game won’t let me collect coins from any of the other hotels. When I open the game after 4 hours I’ll be able to collect the coins from the new hotel but the timers on all the other will say I still have 4 more hours to wait... every single time I check it. This morning it finally gave me the option to collect from the other hotels but when I clicked on them to collect the coins never went into my little bank thing. It’s mostly frustrating because I’m stuck on a level and I can’t upgrade any of my stuff because I literally have no way to get more coins because of this problem. Plus the married couple in the new hotel never pay for anything and I feel like that’s the reason I’m even stuck on this level. Like who do they think they are? Using my hotel, time, and money and then boating off like a couple of jerks? The update kinda makes me want to just delete the game tbh. How am I supposed to play if I can’t even upgrade my stuff

Update: After posting this review my progress in the game was completely deleted. I’m giving up on this game

This game is not easy. But you get free diamonds and boosts a lot. I finished the entire game in just about 2 weeks. Even if I didn’t have time I play I went into collect my coins and diamonds. Love it can’t wait for update. Some boards are hard, use your boosts wisely. If you get stuck on a board keep playing the board it will switch up after a some time of not passing. Waiting patiently for a new hotel. Edit this was one of my favorite games. I’ve been waiting months for a new hotel and today I was so excited to see the underwater hotel. But somewhere they made the font smaller. It’s very hard to see what ppl want in their milkshakes. I hate it.

I was loving this game but now not so much. I have passed all of the hotels months ago. The latest updates to replay the existing hotels for the silver coins is impossible. One level I’m on you need 13 smiley faces but you only have 12 customers. Seems like a money grab they want you to spend diamonds to get more customers. And diamonds now you have to wait 24 hours to get 2 diamonds. Instead of playing old hotels for different coins, just make another hotel.

This game is very addicting and equally challenging! I will have to admit I’ve spent some money, (had an iTunes card) :) on jewels and boosters. You do get rewarded each time you pass a level and earn extra money, profit, from the hotels you’ve completed. the one negative I have, is in order to pass some levels you have to use boosters to get through! The level I’m on now for example, you have to check in according to key color! Well you cannot complete that challenge because blue rooms are full and the next person has to have blue! They order sushi and tea so aren’t vacating the rooms in time to be cleaned for the next person! So I have to keep using the candy jar pleaser to calm the customers down while they wait, only to fill the blue room finally and the next customer wants blue also or another room color that’s full and not vacating quickly til it piles up and you lose! I’ve tried all the boosters and now empty and cannot pass the level! Can’t earn any boosters cause I can’t pass a level so I’ll have to purchase and use in hopes that I pass! But I keep doing it so obviously it’s fun and addicting!

You can actually play and win the game without having to buy extras. No “energy” so you can play as long as you want if you keep winning. And the wait isn’t too bad once you run out of hearts.

My issues is that I’m not sure if they updated it recently or somehow my internet is messing up but I can no longer watch ads to earn extra diamonds or coins. Normally they make it so every 4 hours you can watch an ad to get diamonds but now it’s been 15 hours and the times change so they will sometimes reset the timer or it will be 4 hours waiting but when I hit watch ad it won’t pop up and it’s doing the same with the hearts normally they are 20 minute wait but lately it can be hours and hours before you get another heart to play again. And then they have after you win around you can double your rewards but it’s no longer loading the ad to do that most of the time. Again maybe it’s somehow my phone and internet but I’m not sure how my phone could cause the hours to go up on the diamond ads and heart replenishing... 🤷‍♀️ but I love the game. Fix that new glitch and it’s 5 stars from me!

Now this game is really good- great in fact. But it does have a few things im not fond of. One thing is that, i wanted to go back to my old Hotel (the first one, the motel) to gain more coins because the second one im playing in, is not it 🤦🏾‍♀️. Well i couldnt. It wouldnt let me. It said i had more, or other levels to play in the other hotel. Which is understandable i guess, but i dont like being “forced” (or ”pushed”) to play the other map(s), especially since im struggling and cant meet the meets. The second thing was that he, the man who does MOST of the work, gets so mixed up in errands that it annoys me (i dont think i said that well 💀). Because like whenever i click on something in which he doesnt have the materials in hand at the time, he shakes his head and is like no (or whatever he does). And just that, takes up time, which i could be using for the other customers that need stuff. And the third one, this really isnt really a bad thing, its mostly just a preference so ta say, but the music. It works for like one whole level, and it either goes out (which i doubt) or it was never there lol. Which is ok, i guess. Its not needed, but it wouldnt be too bad to have it 🙂

Love this game but I’ve finished the 4th hotel and I’m waiting for another.

I would love if I could go back to the old hotels and play more levels there while waiting for a new hotel. Especially since I didn’t get to upgrade all the rooms, drinks, food etc while in those hotels.

3 issues I had-
1) the bellboy needs a twin or the option to watch an ad for the fast shoes in the more difficult levels so you can get more done. AND/OR he needs to stop stalling when his hands are full. I’ve seen this complained about the most in the other reviews. It wastes time and the customers patience runs out while the bell boy is wasting time shrugging his shoulders at me.

2) The last 3-5 levels of the 4th hotel I had everything upgraded yet I still needed to use 1-3 boosters just to get the level accomplished. With upgrades the level should be able to be accomplished without boosters.

3) Customers should not arrive at reception unless other customers are about to check out or rooms are empty. There were too many times that I had a customers patience run out at reception because I didn’t have any free rooms! It’s not a challenge for me as the player, it’s something I have no control over because it’s something I can only fix with a booster which I don’t always have and sometimes when I USED the candy jar booster it STILL didn’t help me and the customer’s patience ran out.

Please more levels in all hotels!!! I’m going threw withdrawal!

First, I think it’s unfair how we don’t have the option to go back to our old motels/hotels and continue playing but we do however have the option to go back and upgrade rooms and such from the old hotels. That doesn’t make any sense. Why would I waste my coins and diamonds upgrading old places that I can’t go back and play. I think it’s cool that we can still collect money off of them but I also want to have the option to play a couple rounds especially while I’m waiting for a new hotel to open up. When I’m done playing all the levels to the new hotels it just feels like I have DoormanStoryHotelsimulator taking up space on my phone since I have to wait weeks maybe even months after finishing for a new update/hotel to be available. Second, PLEASE do something about the bell boy! It’s irritating when he takes up time making a scene about an item he doesn’t have. Ok I get it I forgot to pick up the tea for the green room but he doesn’t have to stare at me for all those seconds when he can just turn right back around and get them no problem. I wish these new updates would resolve the issues that I and a lot of fans of this game have which is common amongst all of us at this point, besides all of this though I’m looking forward to the new hotel!

I’m more than a little addicted to this game. It’s a ton of fun to play, and keeps me going. I feel like I am able to really step out of my own world and focus on the game. There are moments of disappointment where I feel like the game is 100% against me BUT there are more satisfying moments of completely the levels with all the stars or likes required. I really love this game ❤️

The only issue I have today, is that there seems to be a bug. I’m trying to play but every time I select the salmon or tea, the game tries to select too much or do twice as much as what I asked and then when I try to throw the trash away, my character will pick up the trash, it will again try to pick up too much, but the trash bag will still be there, so i can’t even get through a level. I’ve restarted my phone and closed out of DoormanStoryHotelsimulator , but I’m still having the same issue. Do you know of any bug or glitch in the game?

Great game, graphics, music. I have not spent a single dime on this game. I do watch ads for gems. To everyone complaining about how you can’t progress without spending money, you’re not doing it right. I’ve beat the entire game twice now. Yes, it will take you a couple tries to beat some levels but that’s the fun part. It’s challenging, what do you expect when playing a game? I’ve also read many reviews about the bellboy getting “confused”. Please do not change this. It’s all part of challenge. If you don’t want him to get “confused” and waste time, play better. One issue I do have with this game is each level is inconsistent. For example, if I can’t beat one level because there’s too many requests for a certain colored room, the next time I replay the level the demand for that room is nonexistent. Each level should require a certain strategy to beat without change.

I really do like this game. I read some of the other reviews and I’ve seen the challenges that people have. For example, the bell boy acting confused when you click do something and he doesn’t have enough space or doesn’t do the object. I think those are elements that make the game more of a challenge. I just finished the Holiday themed hotel and trust me with that ghost vacuum it happens a lot. Eventually you adapt to the challenge and that makes the game fun. I do however wish you could add more things to his queue. 4 tasks seems okay for the girl because she doesn’t do much, but for the bell boy I would say at least 5 maybe even more. Sometimes the guests suddenly all ask for things at the same time and it would make sense to add more room for tasks for don’t allow more than 3 guests to want something at once.
I know this sounds contradictory to what I said before because all of the elements create a challenge in the game, but some things have to give or else you have to wait days to get enough coins to purchase upgrades.
