This is a decent game that makes you think and is pretty fun. I am upset that I have reached the top level and no new updates have come through to continue on. It has been well over a month and this game is becoming less fun and more annoying. I am not a game developer but I certainly can’t imagine it taking this long to create new story lines and new levels. Other games come out with new levels weekly. You come up with new tasks all the time along with the specials like the earth day one coming up. If you do not plan on having new levels of gameplay please come out and inform us. I am getting more disappointed everyday.

This game is a great way to expand your vocabulary in word games and keep you hunting for the next mission. I love when they have a challenge to fulfill that will give you more coins. The story characters are fun even though overall the storyline it is not that gripping.

The 3-star rating is because they changed the point system on the letters; it is so confusing and doesn’t make much sense at all. It is not even worth trying to upgrade the letters because it is not straight-forward. I hope they simplify it .

Game is pretty cool but just like any other game you have to eventually pay to unload your piggy bank or coin bank but you’ll still get coins. I wish they would put a list of the words you’ve created off to the side so you’d know what word has been created already. Cause I swear I’ll spell the word and they say it’s wrong then it’ll show up as correct 😒. Add a running list of words for us players! Other than that very relaxing game to play.

I think text express is a really good game with a few issues. I feel like some of the words you would think you can put in you can’t. While other words that are abbreviations semen to be random on wether it takes them along with some contractions. The hint system feels in place to get you to spend money but you can use the in-game coins on hints instead of letter upgrades which ultimately slows down progress. If I’m stuck for more than a few minutes and don’t want to blow my combo I just use a website that shows words with my specific letters. Then it’s trying each until one works sometimes. You don’t need to put real money into the game at all but I do feel like it would really help at some points

Love the game! The puzzles range from easy to hard, the stories at certain junctions are fun, sometimes the treasures are too far apart when you need a bunch of them for a challenge, but my biggest issue is, now I have reached level 75 and while I can still play the game I can’t make any progress!
This is really the only complaint I have. When will the expansion be released? I don’t feel like playing if I can’t keep moving forward!

I really enjoy playing this game. It’s a stress reliever and unlike some games, it’s not a complete money grab. The graphics are great and I love the story. The prizes that are given for daily and weekly challenges make me continue playing. The reason that it’s not a five-star game is because of the treasure system. I get that you want people to play on a regular basis, and I do. However, when the treasures are placed so far away from one stop to the next, the game stops being fun. Especially when you need to open 50 treasures during special events. This causes you to stop advancing in the game because you’re playing to open treasures before the event ends. The treasure system needs to be revamped. Maybe if you exit the game, the treasure can move to a different location or make some of the items that you win, i.e. new locomotive available for purchase with coins or diamonds.

I think it’s a really well done game. The graphics are great, the ads aren’t too intrusive, and the storyline and characters are well thought out.

My only real complaint is that I, personally, am not really interested in the story. The puzzles themselves are too short and easy, so it’s like I play one puzzle that lasts about thirty seconds maximum and then I have to spend twice as much time just skipping through dialogue, cutscenes, and upgrading letters. I was hoping for a word game that was a little more challenging. I’ll keep playing to see if it gets better later on because I want to give this game a fair shot.

I had been hoping there would finally be a word game like this that had story and customization. The other ones are so endless and pointless you just go through levels for absolutely no reason.
This adds that necessary reward experience, however it is slow and easy. I am pretty early on, so maybe they'll have longer words later. As far as the story, the slow animations make it too hard to want to even pay attention. It's a cute style and everything, but they move so slowly that I just end up skipping all the story scenes because I'm not waiting for grandma to slow walk to the table so I can read one sentence, and then wait for more things to slowly move for another part of a sentence.

I love the game. I have always loved trains and word games, you put them together. Thank you. You’re new upgrade has some things I don’t like. First, I am not a fan of the game going straight to the Task menu. I liked it better in the main menu were you could look at daily/weekly challenges, piggy bank, etc. This having to click out of the task menu to check something else is getting old. The second and biggest issue is “The Finger.” Since the new upgrade, on the side challenges, a gloved finger has started appearing showing possible words. I find this distracting, annoying and slightly insulting. I know some people may need this but I don’t. Can you add a way to turn it off if we don’t want it? Thanks.

This game is beautifully made and entertaining but I think the star quality lies with the game support. I contacted support and let them know of a gameplay issue. They contacted me the next day apologizing and awarded me the hints I used because of the error.
Typically, thats the end of it.
Weeks later I had a message from support saying that because of people like me who reported the issue, they were able to fix the problem in the update and the update is live now.
Good support is rare in the gaming world. Great support is unheard of. This game went above and beyond that and I’m fairly impressed.

I am really enjoying this game! I don't think I've ever seen a word game that has a storyline too. I haven't spent any money but I have watched ads to get bonuses. To me it seems truly free to play. The nice thing is you can keep playing even if you run out of Tilly points. I haven't seen a game yet that lets you make progress like this for free. Or you can wait until your Tilly points recharge so that your gameplay gets you Tilly experience. The story is cute and there is some nice variety in the word find games. I highly recommend giving this game a try if you like word games and stories!

I’ve tried a few different words games and this has by far been my favorite. It’s not the same old breakup story, it’s new and original. I like the different types of puzzles and how different locations have different challenges. At first it took a very long time to progress in the game, but it seems they fixed that in the latest update. I recently had my husband start playing with me after they added Birdle.

For awhile this has been literally the only game on my phone, and still is. Recently they changed one of the features that is beginning to make playing unbearable.

You used to be able to watch ads for bonus or completely skip the ads. Now you can still watch an ad for a bonus but you can’t skip ads, you just get a “shorter” ad to watch. I totally understand that the company needs to make money but constant ads has ruined this for me. They have a monthly subscription which gets rid of the ads but it costs way too much.
Time to find another game with less ads. 😒

I’m always on the hunt for word games that my mom and I can play together and this is by far the best one out there so far. There’s many many ways to keep your brain thinking and working towards your goal of thinking and keeping your mind sharp. My mom is always saying I’m stuck on a word and gives me her letters so that I can get her unstuck ( she’s 78 ) I’ll tease her about it always. I know you can invite friends and family but I refuse to do social media so I hope you come up with another way to let us get to be friends soon. For now we’ll continue our way. I don’t usually have money to spend on games so perhaps you could think of another way for us to get our piggy banks and vaults…. Loving this game

I am not one to leave reviews. I give a game an honest chance and either keep or delete. With Text Express I am totally in love 😍 I don’t feel like I have to buy anything unless I really want to, and if I run out of energy I can still keep playing towards levels. The story line is cute, and the side characters are fun (I really love Eleanor LOL). I love that the game runs on quests versus a totally linear progression. The periodic additional events for bonus content are nice too. Even the ads aren’t bad 1 ad between levels. Doable for me 😁

I only have one suggestion that I have seen on other games that I think others might like as well and that’s when Tilly levels up to refill her wallet. Otherwise great job on a great game! I look forward to continuing to see where her adventures take her 👍

I don’t leave very many reviews but I just wanted to acknowledge your one year anniversary. I love the game and play daily. I have enjoyed all of the special events. They come regularly but not overwhelmingly so. I have had several occasions to reach out to Customer Service and have always been pleased with the quick and helpful response. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to another great year!

YAAAAS! FINALLY!!! A awesome story game with no cringy romance or drama. No 3-match mechanic! No stupid ads! No horrid graphics or disgusting banners at the bottom! The visuals look like they’re from a console device. The cutscenes are phenomenal! The crosswords are perfectly challenging, and the story…whoo!
No junk, all heart.
Thank you for breaking the boring old 3match model that EVERYONE ELSE DOES. I see new games are following in your footsteps. Plus you don’t shove ads in my face every time I compete a level. Thank you!!!

Besides being fun, this game allows you to play without any lives and without any ads interrupting your gameplay after every second level. I was surprised that no ads played unless I specifically clicked on it to double gems. I love the option of being able to personalize the train and character and the animation for the story scenes is amazing. Highly recommend!!

I’ve tried several word games in recent months, none of which did a better job than this one. Simple rules made TextExpress most attractive for me ,a non-native English speaker.I used not to know what to do in other word games, but in this one, the only thing I need to do is just to put letters together to make words,so it’s easy to concentrate on the words!

I’m impressed. Matching words across a circle is nothing new, but the rpg and story surrounding the game are done really well. I WANT to move around the map and explore regions, and location specific events help encourage that. I really like the spin off wordle, birdle, that is both thematically consistent and different enough to be something to look forward to. The dictionary is also a great feature. No mandatory ads is also very appreciated.
My only suggestion is around UI. I’d love for the dictionary to be more accessible, and not a tiny icon sandwiched between two other settings at the top.
I’d also like a way to cancel the current guess. Currently, to not break a streak, you’ll have to deselect a bad guess letter by letter. Sliding away far enough should cancel the whole guess.
