Buggy

I’ve been using plop for a year, and my subscription just renewed automatically. Even though I was charged, I lost access to all premium features. The FAQ says to manage subscription via plop Store, but that does nothing, and when I try to contact this app support, I get the message that there’s no email client. I’ve now lost a year’s worth of valuable data and am furious.
plop itself is great, but useless if renewing doesn’t actually work.

You had 1 job! It doesn’t even keep track…

Some good features and the whole paywall thing is a bit annoying but the worst is it doesn’t keep track that well, I’ve added an entry every day for several weeks and every few days 1 gets deleted. The ads that pop up when you hit “submit” don’t help much.

Limited options

There’s no way I’m paying $30 a month for this service, and while I like the food facts that they provide it’s limited in information (only explains what IBS is and not IBD). Also, I can’t even report specifically if there’s blood or pain with my stool. There’s not a lot of factors I can report other than manually taking the notes through plop .

Not helpful, too rudimentary.

I had high hopes - probably too high for plop.

There are spelling errors and grammatical errors galore throughout plop . The tracking is very rudimentary, you might as well be using a pivot table in excel. I have premium, so you can add additional variables - but honestly - since the variables aren’t accounted for in any of the recommendations, evaluations against the data they become useless. For example it might tell you “increase your fiber intake” but if it was at all a helpful app, it would already see that you’re consuming over 30g of fiber - increasing fiber is clearly not the issue here (if there is any issue at all).

I use my iPhone and ipad to update this app on the same account. They are RARELY synced up. It results in nonsensical data.

I think I’ll go back to using my period tracker for tracking bowel movements because right now this tracker doesn’t add any value at all.

Mediocre

I appreciate the ability to track my BMs, but I’m not paying as much as this asks for the subscription (sorry) and the data display is put into charts that are largely nonsensical and don’t meaningfully correlate and display the data I’m inputting. If I describe one BM, why is it represented twice in the same graph under different characteristics? Why is some data a line graph when that isn’t a logical, meaningful way to present that particular data? I’m not sure the developers understand data analysis or presentation at all. Will probably look for another app.

Liked it before update

plop was amazing for me before the update. You used to be able to easily track specific symptoms but now it has been replaced by “notes” on each log. If plop hadn’t been changed, I would have given 5 stars. Disappointed in changes

Still needs some other features

Are there any features to add notes to the items you select. Also, can you create your own additional fields like tracking movement or even mood? Maybe also being able to generate reports to show the notes and graphic charts.

Exactly what I needed

It’s been a week of using plop and so far it’s been very helpful with tracking my bowel movements to identify patterns since I’ve been having some gut issues. Simple and intuitive, the only thing I wish that the symptoms list was fully available in free version of software.

Good app but have suggestion

It would be nice if you could not only change the time of the this app but the date as well. Sometimes I will be busy and forget to log it that day. Then the next day I remember to log the this app but can’t go back to the previous day.

Good app

App so far has been working very well, I started the first of October keeping track and it’s neat to see how often you go at the same time each day and then determining what you previously ate to determine why some symptoms often show up.

Anyway for it to keep back farther? I been tracking since October 1st 2020 and it only shows since mid-november 2020

Thanks

Very nice app

This does just what I need to track the plops. However everything these days is becoming a subscription and while I can appreciate the developer needing to earn a living, I don’t understand why ongoing subscription costs are warranted for this. I suppose if people are willing to pay then that’s fine and good for them. I am not willing to do ongoing payments for this. I would be willing to do a one-time payment to support the developer.

Nicely done with the very slick and intuitive app.

Excellent app; just ticked all history gone after update

Excellent app; just ticked all history gone after update. Was resistant to change cause was fine previously. Current update very good. One of best (hidden) features is list of different types breathing/deep breathing. More well done than any meditation or yoga app I’ve seen. Kudos for all around excellent very helpful app!👍

Great app for IBS tracking!

Wow, this is a really nice app, esp with premium membership. I upgraded immediately because I wanted to have a one-stop-shop for logging food and BM. I’m using this for insights for myself, but also for sharing with my nutritionist and PT as I navigate a complex health issue.

To the developers: Please add hydration tracking! Also, a nice advanced feature would be regression modelling of foods and hydration to symptoms and BM types. I’d love to see insights similar to what Whoop produces in their month insights reports!

It just works

I love the simplicity of plop. I have been using it for a few months and have never had a problem with its functionality.

Needed this wile on suboxone

im currently taking suboxone and it causes things to slow down. I recently lost a dear friend in her mid 30s to stage 4 colon cancer, since taking suboxone everything seems inflamed back there and i want to do what i can to keep track so i can live a good life with my kids

Paid User for years and it’s worth it!!

I love plop! It’s not glam, but it helps me with serious health stuff I need to track and it’s easy to use and invaluable. When I got a new phone and had issues with data, I wrote them and they write me immediately AND SOLVED MY ISSUE!! wow. So great. Thank you this app! I use you every day! And appreciate u!

Shows inflammation based on shape

Excellent app for monitoring how regular and how much inflammation you could possibly have. Can jot symptoms. Amazing to track all of this and from tracking my food in Cronometer which I also highly recommend for including supplements along with food, you can see what causes you to be inflamed.

WOW!

plop is honestly awesome. Visually beautiful, informative, simple, *chefs kiss*. I only wish they had a widget so I can keep it on my private “things to check daily” home screen page! I am excited to continue using plop without feeling “icky” about the topic since its such an important part of your health. Thank you for creating this.

Update: There is NO way to contact the creator, on their website or in plop , please update this ASAP.

Great simple app

Trying out a new Medicine for control of diarrhea and plop has been a Godsend. Soooo easy to use (makes you more likely to actually use it!). And helps me keep track of my symptoms. Great to have!

Well designed, easy to use

I know someone who died of colon cancer at a really young age, about the age that I am now. When you’re young, you take your health for granted. So I made a commitment that I would not and began the paleo lifestyle. Gut health is central to the paleo lifestyle. I am happy I can now track what I’m putting into my body and what is going out. plop is well designed and easy to use and makes me want to track things.

I have a suggestion to sync with Apple Health particularly for period data. I already track it there and through my watch.
