Difficult UI Design

I chose Daak to keep a simple log of transactions with a running account balance. The icons are cute, and I like being able to name accounts whatever I want. I don’t have to register on an external website, which is good. I purchased the premium version.

Then I started using it. After I reset everything twice and started over again. I think I set up everything correctly. The next day, I still couldn’t balance my account and had to use a spreadsheet to get my balance. Where are the tutorial videos to help with this confusing UI? Uninstalled.

What did I just waste my time with

There is zero direction , I paid for the lifetime and it was a waste of $10

The opposite of "easy to use"

Just use Neko instead. "We'll optimize later" is no excuse for features that aren't complete.

How this is "Best of iOS 18" is beyond human comprehension.

Terrible UX

When an app decides to go with non-native UI components, it must meticulously manage the details and positioning of elements to avoid overwhelming users with information. This one failed.

Confusing

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to work Daak. There isn’t any way to sync my bank account, and there are zero explanations on what it even does.

Do not use, major privacy concerns

Daak ’s privacy policy listed as a Google Doc was immediately suspicious to me. Upon further inspection, the privacy policy isn’t even for Daak, it’s for some sketchy website that offers camera filters via another app.

Do not trust this developer with your financial data.

Support More Currencies

There should be a way to create or import new currencies and handle multi-currency per account.

Support for GTQ, COP Latin American Currency

Need tutorial

No instructions. How in the heck do I use this thing? I succeeded in entering income but expenses elude me. Will they be automatically deducted from income?

Help!

I can’t figure out how to use Daak! Am I alone?

Difficult to learn

UI is pretty but it's difficult to learn how to use

Great. Some improvements tho

Hello. I really like Daak and it’s pretty easy to use. I just wanted to share some improvement and ideas.

1. Reimbursement and refund. It would be a great feature to add a refund or reimbursement option to apply on a different account. For example if I pay with my credit card for a bill but I get refunded or reimbursed with cash. There should be an option to apply the refund into my bank account instead of original payment.

2. When making future payments to credit accounts the bank and credit balance is adjusted automatically even before the payment date. This shows inaccurate current balances for both credit and bank.

3. Future balance. It would be great to be able to time travel and check past or future balances of accounts. For example if I want to check what my card and bank balances will be in 3 weeks or what it was a month ago. This can help plan with budgeting for future purchases.

Great, but…

Love Daak , would be five stars, but the fact that “automatic bookkeeping” (recurring payments, i.e. subscriptions) have to be added using the shortcuts app instead of natively on Daak is really annoying. It’s not a big deal, but it definitely deters me from wanting to use Daak as it can’t fully emcompass everything I need natively.

Needs a MAC version

Daak is nice and very comprehensive but without a macOS version it doesn’t fit my workflow. It is great on the go and since Siri Shortcuts is so well integrated not being available when working on my MAC is really a bummer and honestly just makes more sense to be available there. Any plans for that in the near future?

best APP for your Mark money

lovely style and easy way

Great app

Love Daak so far. Is there a way to have scheduled recurring bill payments recorded on my credit cards? I don’t want to enter these every month.

Love the app! A few suggestions

I’ve been loving Daak for expense tracking. It’s adorable. I just have a few items of feedback:

- It’s difficult to see the date at a glance/quick scroll. Would like to see each day organized/formatted for better visual ease
- Would love if after entering an expense, it auto-scrolls to the newly added item
- Would prefer expenses to be ordered by order of entry rather than time of entry, esp when back-logging

I’m very excited to continue using Daak and look forward to future iterations! :)

Daak - Budget & Money Tracker

Love it Thanks Stephen

LOVE it. Cute, simple budget tracker

Premium is reasonably priced for life also but not required. My suggestion would be to consider making it so switching to the income tab also switches the default input to income. I keep doing that forgetting you need to move the slider to income instead of expense.

Way better than every dollar

Been using every dollar for a few years and this is a major upgrade in terms of the ease of use, simplicity, price and customization. It’s a little bit of a learning curve but overall the usability decisions really make sense.

import

how do i import a csv and have overwrite the previous data? i see duplicates when i import the new csv data
