Re: #w-6136312-1 Complaint: Driver was never at the Meeting Point In all my email communications with Welcome Pickups regarding this pick the messages ALL advise me “ the driver is be waiting for you outside the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. “ I took information to mean exactly as these emails suggest. I waited outside, looking for a driver with a sign reading Wheeler, until 1:35am. NO DRIVER was anywhere near that location and, it being 1:20am, there were few people standing about outside at all, I certainly would have seen him!. I am not a no-show as your policy defines. I was at the Meeting Point as you requested. 3.6 Traveller No-Show Policy "Traveller No-Show (TNS) is defined as a Traveller not being at the pickup location by the end of the complimentary waiting time, “. We needed a larger vehicle for our luggage and we had to beat the airport at 0300. They confirmed our reservation. I never heard anything from them, so 12 hours before they were to pick us up, I contacted them. Of course you can’t just call someone,it has to be via messages that they “usually respond in less than 3 hours.” Really? We needed to know if we had a ride or not. I had to call them twice to find out what was happening. They supposedly were “working on it” and in the meantime there was a chance that we would miss our international flights. Since our reservation had been confirmed, we didn’t have a backup plan. When I called the second time, with just 5 hours left before we were to leave, she “just found out “ while we were talking that they couldn’t find a driver for us. And they just happened to send me a text while I was speaking with her that they couldn’t find a driver and we’re cancelling our reservation. So at 16:00 on a Sunday night, we had to find alternative plans. Don’t use this company. They are unreliable and won’t tell you until the last minute that you don’t have a ride.

My ride did not show up.

I was traveling to Cairo, Egypt and I needed a ride to my hotel. When I stumbled on this app. It all started well. The driver contacted me and asked for my information. He said he will be at the airport waiting for me with a sign with my name on it. Easy enough and I was happy with the communication.

However, when I arrived to Cairo. The driver was not there. There were many other cab drivers waiting and soliciting for there service. There was one cab driver that was kind enough to let me use his phone to call my driver that I booked and paid for. The driver that I booked picked up and told me he was in the parking lot and he will be there in 10minutes. I waited for 30 mins and I finally got over it and took another cab that let me use his phone. The booked driver then called back 30 mins later and told me he just arrived at the airport. That is one hour after the agreed pick up time. I told him I was waiting for 30mins and I took a cab. He told me it is not his fault that he was late. Don’t even was your time with this company. When their hired drivers don’t event take responsibilities for there actions.

Very unhelpful overall in getting picked from the airport. If you have flight delays, good luck getting picked up; we never did. Our driver had multiple pickups after us and no one else was available. We notified them of our delay and were told this. We also inadvertently had our itinerary in reverse and tried to correct this 9-10 hours in advance but were told we couldn’t even though their website says only “a certain amount of time” is needed to modify reservations but they claimed it was 24 hours, even though that timeframe is only listed for cancellations, not modifications. Their customer service people were not helpful and didn’t seem to care. The only person who sort of tried to help us was the driver, but he had multiple pick ups and was the only person apparently we could use. Overall this company seems to want to take your money without providing any services if they think they can do it. If you’re flying into Rome, just go to the taxi stand. It’s a lot cheaper and was quick for us.
