Quick Draft: Simple Scratchpad Reviews

QuickDraft targets a specific set of use cases and accomplishes them well! The super fast note taking and polished controls makes this a well thought out app. Love the select all button! I’m sure some people will ask for more features (pages, markdown, actions, etc), but I hope the developer makes an effort to keep it focused. So far, QuickDraft has everything I need!

If I were to make to make suggestions:

1. It would be to get a dark variant of the super great looking icon with the box & text lines. That would make it pair well with dark mode.

2. I agree with another reviewer that it may be nice to hide the word/character counts to see all the controls for those of us that don’t need those metrics.

That said, if nothing changes I won’t be disappointed since it’s already so great. Keep up the great work! I look forward to trying the Mac version!

Love everything about QuickDraft. It's elegant, simple, seamless, and just works. I'd be fine if the current feature set is all we ever get, but two things I hope to see (that would warrant a higher price for pro): 1) a share extension for both macOS and iOS and 2) adding a couple of pages and the ability to swipe back and forth, a la Iconfactory's Tot.

Still, it's almost perfect as-is.

I used Drafts 5 but still got lost in all the text. This is so much better IMO because it only holds 1 note, syncs to all devices that have Quick Draft installed and its easy to share the text or copy and paste! Great job and keep it going. I hope QuickDraft keeps getting updated. Thanks!!

I like the simplicity of QuickDraft . Although I like it, I do not see the reason to use this over IA Writer if you own that app. The look and feel of QuickDraft is very close to IA Writer. The main difference between the two is Qd has an icon in the menu bar and IA Writer does not. I am not knockng down QuickDraft but rather just noting some observations. If you don't own IA Writer then I recommend QuickDraft. Support the developer because they did a good job.

You can tell that the developer put a lot of work into QuickDraft. It contains a lot of bells and and whistles, like sync and optional checkboxes for checklists. Entering the initial data was easy and fun.

The only problem is that my checklist page is very long and detailed, and now it is becoming harder to enter new data. When I try, the page moves and I can’t see what I have written. For that reason, sometimes I inadvertently skip a line.

Please find a solution.

If you're looking for a simple digital notepad that syncs seemesly across all your devices (honestly) look no further.
It does what it says on the box without any unncessary distractions, offers apps for all your
gadgets and is just great for that quick note you want to make.

I recently came across QuickDraft as a place to toss text without using Apple Notes. QuickDraft has been incredibly useful across all the available platforms, and the developer is extremely responsive. I’m definitely a happy user!

There are a lot of note-taking apps out there but the urge to add more features quickly turns them into one more place to make and forget notes, reminders, etc. The simplicity of Qd--one page, markdown, synced across devices--makes it an easy the first step in my workflows.

QuickDraft is absolutely perfecyt. Adding any alarm stuff, and due dates or pages — and new features will droft away from it’s priginal genial minimalist focus. Currently my favorite app. If you ever chose to add these features, make them optional in the settings and something minimalists can hide.

Solid, perfectly simple app. Two things I’d change:

Options for icon. The current one is about as boring as you can get.

Ability to hide the word/character count completely in the option bar. Show it at the bottom of the note or something. Don’t make me scroll to get to all the tools.

This is something I’ve needed for a while but really never knew it til now. I’ve accidentally sent texts and emails prior to proof reading and have looked dumb in the process. QuickDraft helps me not look dumb.

Took a quicklook at QuickDraft . Looks promising, however, there's no find/search feature. I think with the search feature it would be perfectly priced.

100% what I needed. A simply place I can activate instantly to mark down some text. Super simple, super quick — jsut great.

I like the convenience of having a notepad easily accessible from my Mac’s menu bar. I just wish there was an additional page and Bullet Point options.

Please add these features.

Nice app for writing quick thoughts. Now has iCloud sync ability!

Perfect scratchpad for capturing ideas, text. Sharing options robust on iOS but similar functionality lacking on MacOS.

QuickDraft is amazing it just needs widgets and Apple Watch complications and it’ll be perfect
