Immediately disappointed 😔
2022-06-13
by Raquel.V
I feel like Stardust is only helpful if your periods are super consistent. I was really hoping this could provide more accurate period information based on historical averages. I have been manually tracking my period in a planner and when I opened Stardust , I plugged in my most recent period and those from this year that I have tracked.
I was super disappointed that Stardust didn’t allow that and now is predicting a regular period every 28 days which I know won’t be accurate (my cycle runs every 6 weeks or so with some fun delays and surprises thrown in).
After reading some reviews it looks like after a few months of tracking within Stardust it will provide more accurate info based on averages but why not allow that from the jump off? It seems like a pretty straightforward piece of functionality to allow a new user to identify the dates of their last period(s) as completely as the info is available, and then Stardust would have that data to work from.
I’m very much into astrology and other mystical things and thought this might be a great way to tie everything together with my cycle but I think I’ll just go back to manually tracking my period and using the CHANI Nicholas app for astrology.
Not inclusive for the non-normative cycle
2022-07-14
by Livsss1223
I appreciate the lunar involvement with my cycle 🌑 🩸 absolutely divine. However - more often than not I find myself frustrated with the lack of realistic options & cute language & design which stops me from accurately tracking my cycle. For instance I need to be able to track when I have blood clots, and when my period is blood is closer to black or brown. For people with cysts or fibroids - these can happen and I’m disappointed that I feel myself body isn’t represented here. The notes option is not enough to suffice.
This month my period is late & i had to go in twice & delete “my symptoms” before Stardust recognized that I’m late or irregular (another common period experience). It’s nice to have the predictive element to Stardust but you should be able to turn this on or off OR have the next period just be that - a prediction - and can only be clarified by Stardust user. Not saved automatically when a period hasn’t happened or will not happen.
Im disappointed that an app that clearly wants to be gender neutral & inclusive & spiritual is missing the mark when it comes to bodies that don’t have normative cycles.
tracking settings aren’t useful
2022-08-15
by Wet Sock
I’m torn. I love the beautiful moon cycle chart and don’t want to delete for that reason, but I really don’t love most aspects of Stardust and recommend this only as a back up. The language Stardust uses is incredibly infantilizing and it really takes away from the functionality when the tracking labels are treated like a joke,. For example, “Mac n cheese” being one of the cravings settings, but the cravings labels otherwise being very limited and not customizable. Like ha ha that’s so quirky. Also “constapaish” instead of just saying constipated. I would love if the developers would add in customizable tracking options instead of squeezing everything under feelings or cravings. It’s just not super helpful
App generally helpful, but some turns of phrase are so cringe.

by Baltimore Leopard
Stardust is generally useful, however two things bother me. Right before the onset of my period, which of course coincides with my angriest and saddest days, you’ll mention days where my sex drive will be elevated as well. And you know advise me to “hump a pillow”. Also “sensititties” (this sounds like something a creeper or drunk uncle would say) Why?!!!!?!!!! In all my adult very much non-prude life(some of which included selling adult material and being involved with the fetish scene), never have two phrases haunted me so much. Cringingly bore-ing themselves into my subconscious and festering there. I think it would be helpful if you could toggle “sexual advice” on or off.
The interface is gorgeous, and the concept is great, I can tell a lot of love went into this. I love the information about the hormones and, normally I’m not a horoscope kind of person but overlapping them with periods makes periods just a bit more exciting which is great because it’s a miserable time for me, probably for most people. And as a mac and cheese lover I love how “just mac and cheese” is one of the craving options, that’s an eternal mood.
The problem though is that this just doesn’t track my periods correctly. My cycle is kind of irregular. Over time it might get shorter or longer, recently it’s been slowing down. My other period app (which I would replace entirely with this app if this app was as accurate as it) has an option to predict periods by recording the length of every previous period and going with the average. this app only lets you choose a specific length, and going with “I’m not sure” just defaults to 28. I thought by recording every period I had a record of would give me the average and... yeah it doesn’t do that. If you could add the average option, that would be great. The average is the only way to accurately track my periods, and I’d like to think there might be other women in the same boat as me.
Want to edit ovulation day
2022-11-18
by Nilebeth
Stardust is SO cute and I LOVE the witchy info and the floating graphics are so fun. I especially love the abbreviations for symptoms and such (constipation is constipaish which I’ll probably say from now on). The main thing I find INCREDIBLY annoying is there doesn’t seem to be a way to manually edit which day you ovulate. I know exactly which day of my cycle I ovulate and it is not the day that’s automatically selected. I know it doesn’t really matter since I know, but it messes up the apps info with which hormones are surging and whatnot since my phases are not what it’s saying. I know quite a lot about cycles and phases so this is pretty bothersome to me as I know the info I’d be getting from Stardust would be different if I could manually select my ovulation day. Anyway, I would love if that could be fixed.
I love the concept

I love the moon and the “witchy” vibe Stardust has. I love that it lets you add a friend (I haven’t used that feature yet). I love the cute notifications, but most of them are one liners and when you click on the notification it just opens Stardust , doesn’t bring you back to the notification or elaborate on the notification. (Like if your premenstrual or today is not the day for…) and you can’t view any past notifications. I don’t love the display, even making it bigger, it’s still like watching widescreen tv. Once my period comes and goes according to Stardust , I can’t change the start date and duration (I can only change one but not the other). The list of symptoms or feelings need to be expanded.
I just downloaded this app...

I am quite excited to try it over the next few months. I’ve been feeling very fatigued at a certain point in my cycle, I am starting to attribute this to the cycle of the moon and my personal cycle aligning or something like that. It will be a good thing to have an alert go off before this happens so I am forewarned and am more able to put two and two together. So far the only thing I think Stardust may be missing is a way to notate when I have sex😉 Just sayin, I’d like to mark it all in one place, rather then going back and forth between apps. I hope to see this in a future update. Good luck on the launch!🌙
Great app, needs a few more bells and whistles

I love Stardust and have been using it for about a year now. My periods are heavy and awful and I get a lot of symptoms. It would be nice if they implemented more symptom options like nausea, indigestion, dizziness, loss of appetite, back pain, muscle aches, etc. It's frustrating to have to write things in notes every month. I would also love an option for those of us with mittelschmerz for better tracking our ovulation.
It's a great simple app but it's really lacking in a lot of places especially symptoms and has been for a while. 💜 Hope to see it improve!
The best combination of functional and so aesthetically pleasing. I love this gem of an app. There are a few things I could see improving though. I wish this had Apple Health integration with menstrual tracking. I really love data and analytics, so it would be cool see the flow I track in this app also get updated in Apple Health. I would also like to see more symptoms options. While cute and quirky, some of the options are just too specific. More emotions options for mood tracking would be nice. Otherwise this is great, and it’s the only period tracking app I’ve enjoyed using.
My favorite period app

Stardust is pretty to look at and has a wonderful amount of whimsy ✨I never started paying attention to the moon in relation to my cycle before this and the little insights it provides can be spot on. I love that I can easily select cravings and symptoms and it’s making me keep an unofficial health journal, which I’ve been meaning to do for years. The only reason I rate four stars, is it’s a little less friendly to someone with a shorter cycle. Mine on avg is 24 days, which I can totally set, but it still treats ovulation day(which should be day 10ish) as if I had a 28 day cycle (on day 14), so it’s inaccurate in its ovulation predictions for me. I’m trying to conceive, so it’s noticeable. I use another app that sorta gives you estimates on your fertility for the day based on where you’re at in your cycle and it would be soo cool if this one had that in it. :) I’m also trying to go back to old symptom logs so I can see how heavy I marked certain days, but I’m only seeing the other notes, but I’m prolly just missing it somewhere. ;)
Overall I definitely recommend Stardust for your wild and witchy enjoyment 😉
IT’S PERFECT & I’M IN LOVE

The design of Stardust. Every little minor detail and facet. The daily things it tells you are perfect and make it what it is. The functionality and the set up for day to day note taking and symptom tracking. Combined with the utter cuteness and astrology neon themed design. The little floaters. WOW. It’s basically seamless I never have had one problem with it. You really went hard with this one. You made it fun. I actually enjoy using it, which I don’t even feel like with MOST apps like games or social media and this is an app for women’s health tracking! Brought that color + pizazz + uniqueness and vision to the game. Good job and thank you💓!
A Phenomenal App for Women Seeking To Live Naturally

To say I’m impressed by the this app app would be a vast understatement. I am nothing short of obsessed with menstrual cycles and the moon and Stardust harmonizes the two in a way that touts this natural symbiosis, all while making it easy to understand. The UX is flawless and I’m so grateful that Stardust exists because I’ve used other period-tracking apps in the past that have not struck the tricky balance of bridging the spiritual and physical worlds through the context of menstrual health. I couldn’t recommend Stardust more and I’m thrilled to see it develop further.
I’m 16. I love this app.

I just want *the option* to track more/certain symptoms, I have PMDD so it would be nice to be able to show my doctor exactly what I’m feeling in a chart instead of the notes. I really love Stardust though, healthy food is my main craving so it’s amazing that that is here. I’ve been using it for almost two months, it hasn’t synced with my period just yet but I know for me that will take a bit longer. The UI is beautiful: fun and simple.
Update: I’ve been using it for a long time now about 6 or 7 months I think. I still like it.
I love Stardust! I have been loyal to Clue for years. I’ve been on the search for a period app for my 13 year old daughter. She started when she was 11 years old and we used Magic Girl - it’s great but a bit cringy with the graphics. My daughter wanted something a little more sophisticated now being 13. It’s really hard finding something out there for young teens. Anyway, I downloaded this hoping it would be the perfect one. The aesthetics and ease are perfect but the sex talk she isn’t quite ready for. I am so amused by Stardust I am keeping it for myself! I just wish there was a way to customize it for young girls or this would be the ultimate period teacher!
Changed from 1 to 5 stars!

Excellent customer service and they fixed the issue with Stardust loading fairly quickly. Stardust itself is beautiful and I love the insight it gives based on my cycle and the moon! I’m a red witch and the description matches me to the T. I’ve tried numerous period trackers previously and they were either too busy, had too much clutter that I didn’t need, or too generic and not individualized. Stardust is simple, straight to the point, super cute and offers a daily astrology guide that matches my cycle. I especially love the floating boba and tacos. I am looking forward to having the sync cycle with friends feature. Already have recommended Stardust to my girlfriends and coworkers.
Best period app🥀🩸🌙👑

this app is so fun and very accurate. I used to have Clue then I deleted it and when I went to download it again I found out it costs money and not a little bit either so I went on my search for a new free period app and I’m so glad I did. Stardust is designed with so much care and detail, it’s definitely one of my prettier apps which I love. Stardust is very accurate, it reminds me when I’m about to get my period. Another feature that I really love is that it shows a little chart of my estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone levels and gives me little insights of how I might be feeling in a really and what I can do to help me deal with those symptoms and all in a really fun, relatable way. The quiz is great it asks about how heavy my flow is, my feelings, and my cravings with plenty of options to match up with me. Then it keeps track of all the information of of the quizzes so you can see it in a chart. I also really enjoy horoscopes and everything so I love the fact that it tells me what kind of witch I am because of how my period cycle lines up with the moon cycle. It also gives you little tips and horoscopes according to the moon cycle. You can also share your cycle with a friend if that’s your cup of tea. But overall Stardust is so cute, empowering, and accurate and for those reasons I 100% recommend it!! :)
The ONLY Period Tracker App I Need
2023-11-30
by Whimsycrystal
Not only is Stardust flawless, gorgeous, and effective, but it has a symptom tracker, and gives you insights on how you may feel on a daily basis based on your period. It connects your period to the stars in universe and makes you feel like you’re a part of a bigger picture! Now, I’m not a very religious or astrological person, but Stardust caught my eye because it looks discrete and didn’t seem to have any in app purchases that would make Stardust usable. Unlike other period trackers Stardust doesn’t require you to pay to enjoy it and use it, which I enjoy because women should have free access to this kind of technology. Thank you this app for making period tracking software beautiful and available for everyone. ✨🤩✨
Blown away—- gorgeous/ informative

I’m always wondering how hormonal cycles are affecting me so have been curious to try an app like this and am SO THRILLED to have stumbled on this one! First of all it is GORGEOUS. Anytime I use it makes me happy because it is a legit work of art—- the level of detail and care put into the design is phenomenal, and the science is real—- I’ve been oddly not hungry today (unusual for me!) and Stardust predicted it which made me feel like I’m not crazy and nothing is wrong with me after all (always appreciated!) I’ve tried a couple other period tracker apps with confusing interfaces and much less personality, and will definitely be sticking with this app and telling all my friends. Also all the text is legit smart and funny. Can’t wait to use it over a longer period and learn more...⚡️⚡️⚡️
I am updating this review from a 3 to a 5 after emailing with the support team for Stardust .
As a non-binary individual with a menstrual cycle, it is really hard to find a good and affirming app where I can track what’s happening with my body and feel secure in my identity while doing it. When checking my app last week I saw a prompt calling me a “wild woman” and it really upset me. I hadn’t seen anything like that in Stardust for the first month and a half of using it. I emailed support and they let me know they’ve been working over the past year to eliminate all gendered language and that upon my reporting that this one still remained, they removed that part. I am thankful that Stardust is making accommodations so that all people who experience menstrual cycles can enjoy it. Women, non-binary individuals, trans men, and beyond. Happy to have a safe space.
