Over $400 in fraudulent charges to my bank account. Never used this company. Phone number goes to a voicemail and no email response. I did get a reply off Facebook saying Unfortunately, we don’t keep the money so we are unable to offer any refunds. Your bank should reimburse you for any fraudulent charges they approved. Weird how it’s their company name and there phone number associated with the charge but they take no responsibility.

I’ll give it two stars because the concept of BandPay is great. It makes things convenient and reliable when it comes to creating agreements and what not for projects. The only downside is that they have an 8% transaction fee. For anyone that’s ever used any payment processor, this is double if not almost three times the normal rate. Because of this, I won’t be using this app. If you’ve been in the industry for any length of time, you should know to always draft a contract and have people agree prior to beginning work. Creating legal documents for parties to abide by is step one in most anything when it comes to work to be completed. My point being, if you want to feel safe while working, demand a deposit as a part of the contract and demand that the contract be signed so that you’re legally protected and entitled to the work you’re hired to do. Or if you’re hiring someone, have them sign a contract and if they fail to deliver, you have a right to sue them. I’d really like to see BandPay compete with something like PayPal a bit better. People say “well this or that” about PayPal, but PayPal is the standard when it comes to a free platform businesses can use to draft agreement based invoices and obtain money for work to be done. They also have a money back guarantee for buyers, making sure every purchase is protected if a seller doesn’t deliver something. It’s safe and reliable for both parties if the terms are clearly laid out. Hopefully things will change in the future this app!
