AcadiaNationalParkGPSGuide is fine, if somewhat unspectacular. The narration is adequate and the narrator does a nice job. Pretty good odds you will learn a thing or two from what he has to say.
If you’ve experienced the remarkable GyPSy Guide GPS apps, just know ahead of time but this is nowhere near that quality. The interface is clunky. It doesn’t allow you to listen to music, kindly interrupting like the GyPSy guide does. The GPS gates are omni-directional, and not very well-timed. The narrator interrupted himself more than once with the next gate. (And no, we weren’t driving too fast.) And this is only narration for one path in the park: the road from the main visitor center up to the top of Cadillac Mountain. There are entire areas of the park that are entirely ignored.
In spite of these shortcomings, we are still glad we bought it. It just could have been so much more. Wish GyPSy had it’s own version…
