Great way to make extra money

I’ve been using this site and app for a little over a month now and I can take anywhere from 1-6 tests per day. My first month I made over $600 and I’m still making just about that. I’m very grateful to this app for the extra income that has made my financial life just a little more comfortable, and I’m really not dedicating too much of my free time to this. It’s really just a test here and there.

The couple of complaints I have is that sometimes the mobile app uploads fail and you’re only given a partial or no payment for these. Also, some customer's tests are very time consuming and before you know it, you’re taking a test that ends up being 35 minutes+ and only getting paid $10 to do it (not to mention it fails to upload and then no payment!). These tests are supposed to be 10-20 minutes long. Many customers will offer a $30-$60 payout for completing the test on zoom which takes 30-60 minutes, so this is appropriate and respectful of the testers time. But I think some of the customers try to squeeze so much information out of a $10 test, which subsequently leads to rushed answers, frustration and lack of quality feedback from the tester. Overall, this is the site I go to first and make the most extra money from. Thanks this app!

Quick Cash

I started about 1 week ago and I already made $130; it’s a really easy way to make some quick cash if your willing to sit infront of your computer for about 30 mins a day. I was introduced to this app by a friend unfortunately he made it seem so simple as if I was only just answering questions, but while answering the questions one must speak their thoughts aloud. Before you’re qualified for a test there are screeners that you must answer to confirm that you may or may not had experience with the situation you’re about to test. Some surveys pay more that others I’ve only been qualified for the $10 survey, which this app offer $60,$30, $90 as well hopefully one day I’ll be able to experience one of those😀! It’s a really great experience

There’s no perfect life. this app has problems & glitches sometimes with the tests too just be sure to report it, and sometimes depending upon the issue you will get a portion of the payment.

Quality App

I personally love this app. As a this app contributor, it is important to read over the terms and conditions prior to becoming a qualified tester. It will make your tests more effectively done, and your time using this app more efficient (as well as avoid many of the concerns other individuals displayed in these reviews. Knowing what is expected of you during tests as well as what to expect afterwards in regards to payment is essential.

All in all, this app has served me very well over the last 8 months. While it is nearly impossible to qualify for each and every test, if you are a well-rounded individual with lots of hobbies, variety of work experience, and are looking to make a bit of side cash; you will be supplemented with plenty of testing opportunities. I love UserTesting, and have made a great source of income from it as well! Hands-down the best at-home method of making money.

It’s nice when it works but it has issues and crashes often

I’ve been this app for a bit over a year. UserTesting is pretty buggy and I’ve had countless experiences with UserTesting crashing or being unable to upload the video, which ruins the test and at times makes me waste a lot of time when it malfunctions right after I finished the test. So frustrating! The greatest offenders are the apps we have to download and take the test within the downloaded app. Those are crazy buggy. When UserTesting does work, however, it’s a pretty good app with an attractive and pleasant interface. this app as a whole is by far the best user testing platform.

UserTesting also really needs some kind of notification capability so that we know when there’s a new test when we’re on mobile! Developers, if you read this, please consider this feature. It’d be really useful and convenient for the users.

Awesome app overall

I really enjoy UserTesting. Easy and simple I have to do is be honest and speak my mind I appreciate UserTesting so much pays pretty quick. I wish I had an option to quick pay myself & deduct a dollar or two but they need time to review my reviews so makes sense. I advise anyone who gets the opportunity to use this. DO NOT do it on your phone. Personal experience I did not get paid and it had a hard time to submit, it never submitted honestly so that was 40 minutes of my time I’ll never get back. And another test online through my laptop also had a hiccup however I have received payments aside from those two $10 incidents. I couldn’t even file a complaint the site went down for awhile because the covid-19 pandemic but when it came back up. It was really nice to put my time towards. Hopefully someone sees this and resolve the issues I had & if not I’ll just do it from my laptop

Fraud Alert

UserTesting will ask you for access to screen recording, which is fine, but one of the tests I did, they asked me to fill in sensitive credit card info. UserTesting and the test assured me that it's normal procedure, only $0.01 will be charged, etc. They said to turn off screen recording during this step, and I did, it said screen recording was paused, however there was still a blue indication on the top left corner. This indicated that UserTesting was still working even though I paused it. Not thinking much of it, I continued to take the test and had to resume the screen recording step. However, I felt uneasy afterwards and changed my bank password. Thank God I did... In 3 days I checked my bank and it said I had to reset my password because somebody had been trying to get into my account many times and failed. This had never happened to my bank account before, and I don't believe this was just some coincidence. You need to vet the companies you accept tests from, some of them are definitely trying to scam.

Solid 3

There are pros and cons to this app. It is great way to make a few extra bucks for pretty easy work. I have never had an issue getting paid late or not at all. You really need to pay attention in training to be successful but once you get the hang of it this is a great thing.

My only issue is the number of qualification surveys you have to go through before you get a testing you can do. I completely understand they are targeting a certain demographic for surveys but there are so many that could just be excluded without ever seeing them on your dashboard.

Each person has a profile they fill out which includes basic demographics. If they are looking for a company executive for a survey there is no reason I should see it, my demographic information states my employment and education level. There are times the first question will be what country you live in, again if they are not looking for my country why waste my time.

Other than that it’s a great thing to do, just be prepared there are times you will take a ton of pre qualification surveys and have no tests you qualify for.

Horrible

this app takes an audio and screen recording for your audition to use the site, but doesn’t make it clear it may be using video of your face as well. When you finally get into the site, there are many tests but while answering questions you learn you don’t qualify to finish the test. Trouble is you’ve already shared information about your lifestyle to those companies. It has been two weeks and a test has yet to pass the “Unfortunately you do not qualify for this test” phase. There’s no one to talk to in support, they don’t answer emails, and a pending chat with the customer service rep actually showed up was just quickly closed on its own, struggling to reconnect. The people who make the most money off the tests need the money the least, because they’ve been through the most range of experiences to qualify for the most tests, and it takes a more lucrative lifestyle to have those experiences. There may be too much competition right now as well. It’s a large waste of time.

Fan way to make extra cash and give your input

UserTesting is fun to use and be able to give feedback. Sometimes you get several rejections in order to get some tests that you can take. I’ve had it glitch out on two tests so far. One test took a long long time to do and it glitched and I never got paid for it. The other was a short test and it also glitched out. But so far everything otherwise has been pretty neat. There’s tons of different tests and I feel good about giving my feedback. I’ve done two moderated sessions one was thirty minutes one was an hour. Those were fun and a good way to give my input. I recommend this app.

The perfect side hustle

I absolutely love this app. People complain about rejections but it’s not up to the company if you qualify, that is based on what their client is looking for.. people need to understand that their is a specific demographic for every study and be patient waiting for the study that needs them! If you leave the website open it dings with every new test. I keep it open in the background while doing other things and apply immediately to each test. I easily make $20+ dollars a day this way. It won’t pay the bills on its own but it’s an amazing and super easy way to get some extra income :)

Latest Update

I’ve been doing this app for a few years now, and I really enjoy taking the tests!

However, the most recent update to UserTesting only works with iOS 13, which I can’t get. I think my iPhone 6 is just too old maybe. I also cannot download the most recent compatible version (it just prompts me to do so over and over but nothing happens). So now, I’m basically cut off from half the available tests since I can’t even access UserTesting without updating. Can this be fixed or at least fix the option to use the older version of UserTesting so I can continue to test?

From a current college student’s perspective

There’s a lot of reviews saying they earn an exorbitant amount of money on this site, but speaking from my perspective that’s not possible very often. I am a student and part time worker, so I qualify for those sorts of tests. It’s a great site, however I earn about $40-80 a week depending on which sort of tests I get. My highest earning week was $110. I typically get one test every day or every other day, and I take every one I can get. Tests that earn more than $10 are pretty rare for me. If you have too many tabs open sometimes the pc site gets glitchy and the notif doesn’t come through/the tab doesn’t load properly.

Great Side Money

I think we’ve all tried to make money through survey apps that pay like 15 cents per survey. Not ideal. UserTesting actually pays well! Each 15 minute test is $10 and some are even $30 or $60. That being said, there are limited tests and you must pass a survey to make sure you are qualified for each test. So, if Can take a while to get a test. But, if you simply have UserTesting open (or the web version) and try a few tests throughout your work day or at home, you can easily make $20-$30 per day, which is great side money for 30 min of work.

By

Side hustle? Yes!

I am a college student, and I was really skeptical at first. But I actually really like this. I gather around $50 per day spending about an hour doing it on average.
I see a lot of reviews saying you dont qualify for the tests. And I would say I dont qualify for about 80%-90% of the tests. But while I am doing work or studying, I keep the tab open and literally screen for every one of the tests that come through. I get at LEAST 2 per day. One day I qualified for 8. Its a lot of work but tbh its worth it.
Also, UserTesting on the phone is a little glitchy, but the website is good. Some tests that are for the phone on the website wont show up in UserTesting .

UserTesting is a relatively easy way to earn extra cash.

I have been the this app app and platform for about three weeks. It has proved to be a source of extra income. You need a measure of patience in order to wade through the tests that you are not qualified for before you get some that are lucrative. Anytime I can earn $10 or more in a matter of 30 minutes I feel that I have accomplished something. Also I like the fact that I am able to offer what I hope is valuable information that will aid in the development of new products and websites.

Great extra cash

I’ve been doing this app for a few years and I love it. I really feel you get out of it what you put in. If you check UserTesting /website multiple times a day every day, you’re almost certain to get at least one or two tests in a day. Since they’re $10/standard test, that’s a few hundred dollars a month. Yes, it’s not the same as full time job pay, but it’s not full time work! I really like it for doing in my spare time to make some money at a fair wage for the time spent.

Best usability testing app

I’ve used 4 similar apps so far. Among them, this is the best. You get a lot of tests and get paid on a fixed date. Other sites either dont have many tests available daily or require a long process even to do a simple test. The one thing I want UserTesting to improve is to filter the tests based on tester’s demographic and other info better so that they don’t need to spend too much time to see whether they qualify for the tests. That is time consuming and annoying.

By

Stupidly easy money

Love the insanely easy money to be made! I may do 1 test or 5 tests in a day. It’s great for extra cash! (I started this around October 2019 and now- May 2020 I’ve probably made around $700.) The only thing I hope to see improved is the ability to filter jobs that are live meetings vs. the standard think out loud tests. From my phone I can’t tell if the jobs available on the other devices are live or not, so this would also be nice to see changed. Overall great app. Insanely easy $$$$

By

It works, but beware.

I’ve been able to successfully upload many tests with UserTesting... however, recently for every 5 you submit, at least one or maybe two will not be uploaded. I’ve done tests where I’m supposed to be paid more than $10 for the length of it. After 45 minutes it faults out and I know customer support won’t care. Too many updates and they can’t fix their errors.

Suggestion to developer: Fix your app and the issues we report.

Suggestion to testers: Try and mainly complete laptop/desktop tests. Those usually upload without any issues.

Not perfect but not a scam

Normally im really skeptical about this stuff, but i was pretty satisfied when i started actually getting some cash for a few minutes of my time. I wish i was able to spend less time getting screenings and am able to set up a profile where they can organize tests that fit my profile, but all in all they really do pay you and you kind of just have to sit there and keep refreshing the page.

Nice side hustle

Let’s get the cons out of the way - you need to go through several rejections for every test for which you qualify; sometimes there’s a glitch during a test or when uploading your completed test; customer service is a bit which is very frustrating.

With that out of the way, I have to say this is an easy way to make $100+ a week in extra cash. It is really great when you qualify for one of their live Zoom tests. They pay $30 for 30 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes, and $100 for 90 minutes. These live sessions are fun too, especially if you are outgoing. I just started a couple of weeks ago and I have made $100+ each of the last couple of weeks.

This is great for extroverts (you have to think out loud), teachers who aren’t working in the summer, stay at home parents, and anyone with a little extra time on his/her hands.

Use the desktop

I feel that UserTesting is limited and confusing.
I also feel that they don’t explain everything well via text.
For a service that wants you to speak and record the text they should do the same so you understand clearly what they want and or have a person you speak to prior to starting.
They also don’t have enough texts on a regularly basis you can do. I have gone through several ore screening to hopefully get one test. I tried this for about two weeks, did two test and a total of $20 and have spent hours trying to get approved for tests. It’s a waste of time in my opinion.

By

It is needs some work

I am current user tester at this app. It is great site to help developers or companies to improve products via feedback. However, UserTesting often crashes or has upload errors which affects both it’s clients and testers. This bug has to be fixed as well as that sometimes it does not let you report if an error occurred.

By

Really bad customer service

I had emailed customer service weeks ago about a problem with my account in which I wasn’t getting any tests, and they finally got back to me today. However, instead of fixing my account problem, they let me know that they had completely terminated my account months ago due to the fact that during a test, I had connectivity issues( something I had already told them about). This company really screwed me over in allowing me to wait 4 weeks without letting me know my account had been terminated.

Great way to make extra cash!

This isn’t a get rich quick app but you do make a little extra money. If I had time to leave my dashboard open all day I would probably make a lot more but I dedicate a couple hours a day to this and have made a little over $100 so not bad at all and some of the websites are pretty interesting

By

So disappointed!

Before making users go through the hoops to apply as a paid tester, the company should make it much more known that the chances of you qualifying for a test is slim to none. I’ve YET to qualify for a test - even those labeled “anyone can take this test.” For example: the first question I was asked on one pre-survey was to choose my preferred search engine from the list provided... apparently my preference of Google was the wrong answer? I had high hopes of making a little cash on the side, but this site/app is a waste of time unfortunately.

Wish I had their non-iOS app still

I should probably give them some grace right now because this is a new app. But at the same time, they had their app that was outside of UserTesting Store that worked pretty well. My expectations were the same with UserTesting. But there are so many bugs from the constant logging in, to the log in not working, to UserTesting needing to be force quit to get back to potential tests, it’s just really bad right now. Lots of improvements are needed
