App tends to freeze much more since the new app update. Also on the vignette portion, the ability to do a custom number of questions or even preset number of questions (10 or 30) stopped working for the quizzes. Instead it just entered in completely random number of questions. Tried to do a 10 question psychiatry vignette quiz and it put in 180 questions in the quiz. Tried it again and it created a 51 questions quiz. Would expect better with $500 purchase and my board being in 3 weeks

BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is pretty good and very intuitive.
My major complaint is that BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep quite often does not remember the last question I answered when I have to switch apps in mid session. At times I start as far as 10-15 questions back (the questions I already answered and reviewed). This is a major inconvenience, considering it was designed with mobile users in mind.
Please fix.

Added one star because I noticed some of the images have been enlarged on the ipad for better visibility. Feedback below still stands: 1). For iPad, The “Check Answer” button is small and projects over other clickable elements such as the “Challenge a Friend” field. This leads to unnecessary misclicks. 2). For radiology, almost every question has an integral exhibit image to view. These almost never open automatically for viewing and i have to tap, “Show Exhibits” every time i start doing practice questions. Include a setting that automatically displays the exhibits. 3). We need to scrutinize images with the zoom feature. The current implementation is cumbersome. I have to tap the zoom icon, wait for another page to load, and then zoom the image. That’s too many clicks. The new page also hides the question stem and answers, which is bad design. Images should be directly zoomable in the stem. 4). Many questions and answers could use improvement. There is no way for me to submit question feedback on the iPad. Also, we paid for this service, why is it up to us to elevate the quality of your material? Please hire more diligent editors. Thanks and good luck with your app!

Very challenging questions and great rationales ! Highly recommend it but BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep and software can be glitchy with delayed response after clicking or simple freeze I have to refresh multiple times but it doesn’t loose the track everything is saved automatically

I’m really enjoying using this to study for a board exam, however there are some issues intermittently causing syncing issues between my iPad, iPhone, and the web based question bank I use on my laptop. I switch between them depending on the setting and circumstances, but it doesn’t always recognize on the various platforms that I’ve completed a series of questions/quiz so sometimes I’ll have to go back through them in order to progress through new questions. Not major, but annoying. Otherwise, the questions and information are fantastic review!

I tried using this and quizlett and i ended up dropping using quizlett…i pretty much solely used BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep!!! I passed my exam with 20% to spare!!! If i had given myself longer to study i would have gotten a higher score!! BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is essential!!! I even had questions on my actual exam that was so incredibly similar that i coulda sworn they had a person writing questions for both!!!!

Highly recommend! Very challenging questions that will prepare you for HPM boards. Very similar format to Uworld as far as how you can use the Qbank. Loved that I can create a test that can be tutor mode or timed, I can select questions based on different levels of difficulty, different topics based on the blueprint, marked questions, wrong questions, and even questions from subjects that you need improvement. Very versatile! Worth every penny.

Ive been using BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep to prep for my exam and so far.. its been great. BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is clean and has a great deal of functionality. Lots of options to customize your study experience. Questions are challenging and rival Hesi/UW. Ill try to update this review after my exam.

Easy to open app, quickly start a quiz and study when I have a free moment. Worked excellent for my first board exam and expect great results again.

I am a PHMNP student and BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is great, it gives great test questions of varying levels of difficulty, but best of all it gives rationals for the right answers. So it basically amounts to having a tutor in your pocket.

I have started studying about 5 months from my big exam and although I haven’t taken it yet, I feel that this purchase is giving me confidence and great practice to pass!

I would highly recommend getting BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep to help prepare yourself. You can make short quizzes or long quizzes. You can choose to start with easier questions and do medium to hard. Such a great tool

There are plenty of questions and explanations have good references. I have yet to find an incorrect answer or an explanation I would argue with. Being able to go back and revisit test questions indefinitely is also highly valuable.

I like the fact that you can sort your exam out to help focus on one’s weak area of PMHNP study!!! Truly feel that the easy-to-hard questions definitely help you to understand the rationale behind the answers. Great, great review study guide!

Questions on the fly, I love it. The developers did really good! Works seamlessly, and no glitches.

To fix:
- usually, when you see an explanation, it gives you a percentage on how many get it right. It’d be nice to see that on BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep as well. This isn’t needed, just a bonus.
- also, the number of questions it says I answered is off compared to the website. So I’m getting repeat questions. Not sure if you can fix it. But other than that, I love it.

On a side note, I used to just log in via safari, and do questions that way. Therefore I wouldn’t need to constantly update my apps. I quit using apps that require constant upgrading. So I opt to just use Safari, and go about the old school way.

But overall, I’d give the developers an A+!

As an NP student, I love BroadVital. BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is one of the best for testing your knowledge and learning through detailed explanations. It also shows you your score intervals. If, like me, you need to know where your level stands compared to the national standard, this is the right app for you.

The Questions are overall well written and there opportunity to feed back the rare question that is not clear enough or outdated.
The timed quizzes are an excellent way to gauge reading speed and preparation.
There is a good mix of easy and hard questions as well.

I’ve been using BoardVitals for years. Love the convenience of earning CME anytime on my phone. The quality of the board questions is excellent and if you ever have a question or issue they have fantastic customer service! You can actually call and speak to a real person. 🙌🏻

I have been surprised by how user friendly BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep is. I like that you can review the questions in study mode and immediately see explanations for the right and wrong answers. I am earning CME for my AANP recertification and I have been happy with how easy it has been. I do wish that there was an option to have questions related to pediatric pharmacology since I work in pediatrics. Otherwise, it has been great!

Using BoardVitalsMedicalExamPrep for assignments during NP school and finding it a great way to study. Love taking a quiz before bed to get in some extra knowledge!
