Scam with hard paywall

It’s not a free app: they put hard paywall in onboarding flow without any abilities to close/skip it.

Their paywall has “Close” button, but after click you’ll see new paywall without close button.

Apple please review CalorieCounter!!!!

Misleads

They should be upfront in their description that this is a $40 a month app.

PLEASE READ!

I have searched and searched and searched again, hoping to find a freaking app that won’t make me pay for motivation to lose weight! I’m only 15 and I have no money to pay for apps like this. I’m certainly not gonna ask my parents for money to pay for it because I’m too embarrassed to ask them to pay for an app to help me lose weight!

Misleading

Horrible, not easy to use for beginners, can’t pass the page to try this without entering credit card. Delete it better not be charged

Extremely difficult to use

In the time it takes me to enter a food I could google the calories and do this all myself for free

NOT A FREE APP

Please don’t waste your time downloading CalorieCounter you cannot track anything! without having to pay $10 per week. $10 per week for a virtual journal is absurd ❤️

Predatory Marketing

Download CalorieCounter , set your height, weight and goals. Answer some questions.

And boom- subscribe now for 3$ a month I think it was just to continue even using CalorieCounter .

Uninstalled instantly. Ill just use my notes app. I give up on trying to find a calorie counting app after trying so many bloated apps full of sneaky subscriptions...

Hopefully you don't forget to immediately cancel this one if you give it a chance.

Expensive

10$ a week to log my food ? Everything is all about money but 10$ a week is crazy VS other apps that can give u the same thing for almost free.
No free features on CalorieCounter. U must pay at first in order to go through CalorieCounter . If not u can’t use anything.

Absolute trash - app requires subscription

Nothing in CalorieCounter is free, except for the original download and a 3-day “free” trial. During onboarding, you hit a page the requires you to go for the 3-day trial, after which you get charged $9.99 every week to use it. That’s $520 a year.

Don’t waste your time by downloading this worthless trash.

Like this app

It’s very voiceover compatible, but there’s one big problem. I want to use CalorieCounter , but I don’t have the money either to pay for a subscription so if you would please give me access to the free version of it without the trial please do that.

Disappointing features

The products and goods search is slow and very limited. The food items barcodes on packages and descriptions are not available. Also, have to convert every food item to either oz’s or grams instead of one small apple or slice of pizza. Needs fast food items list from restaurants. So disappointed, don’t buy subscription.

False advertising

When I first looked at CalorieCounter it said free meal plan without signing up. I went against my better sense and signed up to see what it was about. The meal plan that it offers things you chose not to include. Doesn’t give you an option of switching. Unable to cancel or even contact anyone within CalorieCounter . CalorieCounter makes you do all the work anyways such as logging. Doesn’t make sense to pay for something that doesn’t help you at all. Still trying to figure out how to cancel.

Keeps crashing

Keeps crashing

I so wanted this to work

I was so excited to get this paid for an annual membership and now I can’t get off the page to start the free trial or the page that offers the memberships …. So frustrating…

This is not a free app

CalorieCounter has a free 3-day trial and then it’s 9.99/week. No thank you

Not free

This is not a free app. You must pay a monthly fee to use it.

Awful!

Says u can count calorie free but Makes u take free trial to get to it. Then wants to charge you 10 dollars a week!!!!

Canceling

I have been trying to find out how to turn off the auto-pay feature as I do not want to continue paying for this subpar service. I cannot find out how to cancel it, and will have to end up going to my bank to just block the transactions. Would not recommend

Sneaky

how can i get a refund? i was just trying to check out CalorieCounter and all of a sudden it said i had a $25 subscription?

Free Version has WAYYYYY too many pop ups.

I add a couple glasses of water and I continue to get pop ups offering me a free trial that only lasts 3 days. There are better options out there…

Misleading

If you’re gonna make us for CalorieCounter during set up, maybe set it as an app you’d have to pay for right away. Like, you guys don’t even have “in app purchases” on here.

Can’t even try it out

I can’t even try out CalorieCounter before subscribing. Wth, I don’t wanna subscribe to an app I haven’t tried out yet. Not worth downloading. What’s the use of making CalorieCounter free to download if you just want people to pay before using it anyways?

Don’t buy!

CalorieCounter was off on the calories and nutrition information for every food I scanned in. Also it claimed I could lose 50 pounds in six months by eating over 2000 calories per day. My bmr is just under 1500 so this is bullocks. Save your money!!

Sad, too expensive to keep

I thought I found the perfect app until I got into the setup and it wanted to charge me quite a bit to move forward. As a diabetic this would have been very helpful. It’s not that I wouldn’t have purchased anything, I know you have to pay your developers, testers, people who implement and pm teams somehow, but the amount is outrageous.

Got stuck

After entering my weight and height…could not go further unless I paid to create a plan for 9.99 weekly…

Terrible to use

CalorieCounter doesn’t allow you to enter manually nutrition facts. If the scanner doesn’t recognise the product ( which is almost everything) then you are forced to use what they have already programmed. I wouldn’t recommend CalorieCounter to users who want to accurately track their calorie intake along with specific measurements of individual nutritional stats. All in all it’s difficult to be accurate with what you are eating and eventually just stop using CalorieCounter for its difficulty of use.

Disappointing

Limited array of brands in the food catalog. You can manually add a food but it will only take the calorie info and no way to add macro info. The recipes are fine but with no feature to generate a shopping list it is inconvenient to plan for days or a week at a time.

poor app

You have to key in everything in CalorieCounter. You can’t just take a picture of the item. you have to scan the barcode but for a sandwich,,,,you have to key in everything in the sandwich. This is very misleading. when u go to dinner and snap you meal….it doesn’t cLculate for you. Very time consuming

This is fully paid app

You can’t do anything without paying 10$/week in CalorieCounter. I think this information should be clear from the begging and would save many people a lot of time.

Sad

I am a 24 yo woman who lost 20 lbs about 2 years ago, I am now 66 lbs. I wanted to get CalorieCounter to track what I eat so I can gain weight. CalorieCounter says my base weight has to be at LEAST 75 lbs. I am extremely dissatisfied with the way CalorieCounter was designed. If you truly want to help people become healthier, add weight options for the severely underweight.

$$

CalorieCounter may be nice, IDK. But at $10/week, I’m not willing to find out.

Great with one major issue

i can’t set a custom calorie goal so it is not so much useful. Otherwise, friendly UI and a lot of features.

Problems with food tracker

The measure and the weight are hard to use. I can t skip measure so I put 1 so I can add the item to my diary. The grams or ounces I just leave blank because it will let me! This is only the beginning of my second day… I have a lot to learn I guess.

Hard to use

I saw this in CalorieCounter Store and thought it was really cute. I find it difficult to track my food though cuz the only measurements are grams and ounces. You can’t put cups, teaspoons, or table spoons. Only weights and idk what 1 cup of oat milk weighs.

Also it wouldn’t connect to my health app

Trying to figure out how to gain weight healthily!

I’ve never used a app that could help Me out with gaining healthy weight. So I am a little unsure about if this is gonna work!? But I’ll definitely double back and update My progress. So with that being said,🫡!

It is worth having.

By far the best app I've used to date for tracking calories, and macros. Gives u the breakdown nicely, easy to search food options and input them in the right quantities. Food planner is also on a calendar planner so you can see how many calories and macros you've ate throughout the month.. great work with this awesome app, well done guys, and thanks, I've been searching for this type of app for a very long time.

Happy!

I've always wanted to gain weight to build muscles but didn't know the best way to do it. Then my friend recommended CalorieCounter, and I love it! It provides meal plans, healthy recipes, and a tracker. it's exactly what I needed..

I need more good apps like this!

great app to get you started on the right track.. I've learnt to recognise food portions since using this., now I know exactly what portion sizes are right for me. I've lost weight and I'm steady weight now, I am seeing this as a whole way of life eating. I was told I was borderline diabetic, and through losing just a few pounds, and cutting down on sugar my diabetes scare is no more...I cook from scratch a lot and freeze in batches…

5 stars !!

CalorieCounter has helped me track my eating habits and curve most of my bad eating choices. By logging everything I consume, it allows me to see my caloric intake as well as the percentage ofcarbs, protien and fats. If you commit to keeping a daily log and keeping track of all you consume CalorieCounter can really help to hold yourself accountable and make better eating choices. It helps set realistic weight loss goals.

Happy to have this app

Just started using it. Looking forward to info

Perfect application

Perfect tracking app. It has a large database of foods and if you can't find it, it is very easy to add something. I have used it very successfully to lose weight and then to maintain my target weight.

Really good.

I am a lazy person who is overweight cause of laziness. Must admit I love CalorieCounter it's very good and useful for a person like myself. Apart from the laziness. CalorieCounter is probably the most useful app. Easy to use and calculate the calorie intake. Thumbs up to the team who put the effort and time to create it. Thnx

Easy and convenient to use

Good app and easy to use. I haven't used any other calorie counter but this one does everything i need and more. Highly recommend it for ease of use and its comprehensive food/brand database. I've lost 6.6% of my body weight.

Thanks, the application is great.

FoodTracker monitors my food in take daily. Monitors my weight as well.I know my limits and especially my carb intake. CalorieCounter is easy to use. Most foods we consume are already on it. You can also add on foods if you cannot find it on CalorieCounter . Many other features are in there.

Application number one.

FoodTracker is making it easy for me to make close to accurate estimates about my calories consumed and burned. I love the database of foods that comes handy when entering food types. I think it takes one a week or two of using CalorieCounter to figure out servings that are within one's intended plan, intuitively.

Stay safe

It's great to know the calories you eat and the reminders to weigh yourself and drink water. I also like the recipes they send you. Great app!!!!! Very helpful app! Easy to use and really helps monitor my calorie count. Sometimes struggle linking a picture to a meal but that's not really a train smash. Has really helped me hold myself accountable for what I eat.

Lots of info

CalorieCounter is very easy to use. I like that they ask about your different exercise habits and how motivated you are towards your goal. This makes the plan more specific to your lifestyle. I would like if the free trial was longer.
