Remix by Buffer Reviews

Tried this app for the first time. I clicked share an Instagram and it said, preparing post. And that’s all it did. It didn’t open Instagram. Clicked share to Buffer. It opened a buffer but not in story mode. Automatically cropped the image to square. No way to change the post to a story.

Overall, there’s not really many effects you could put on a story post. Background image and color. That’s it not even additional text. Seems all right for a 1.0 product, but a lot of work to be done.

Love Remix . It makes a tweet look way better than a simple screenshot. Not to mention the fact that it makes it insanely easy and effortless to make a nice looking design in a matter of seconds.
There is however, a tiny detail that bothers me: the bad quality. Whenever you save a design to you camera roll, it saves it as a blurry image instead of a nice crispy image.
I really hope they read and fix this!

I was excited about the idea of Remix so I downloaded it. The only supported shopping platform supported is Shopify. No Etsy, no eBay, Mercari, etc.

Remix is simple and easy to use. Part of the issue is that it’s simple and doesn’t offer much more than creating a clickable link form your Shopify page. A great opportunity for making Remix useful would be the ability to search and add hashtags.

I would like to share my problem in order to know if it’s only mine. I’ve downloaded it 4 times iOS version, and it doesn’t open. Am i along? Remix is there but as soon as I touch it, comes up an closed itself. Many thanks.

Easy to use, Remix is an easy way to share tweets important to you, your brand and what you are trying to convey!

So, Remix is great...in theory. If it worked, this would be GREAT. I can save images, but that doesn’t make them clickable at all, right? Just makes a picture. Very confused about why it just says, “Preparing image,” and then does nothing.

The simplicity and intention agnostic nature of the previous app (Pablo before Rmx) is missed. Rmx has glitches even if user uninstalls and installs. It’s centrality on Shopify removes the pleasure of using it with simple image and text manipulation intentions. There is a default marketing text after installation (a Buffet Tweet) that seems impossible to remove. Not a positive point to signup to a trial.

Am I missing something, but I can’t get a single link to load. It gives me an error message for every link I try to use. I’ll change my rating & review if someone could tell me what I’m doing wrong. Thanks!

Text cannot be modified and post links and text are ignored.. you can only post great things about their parent company “buffer”. Of which great things can be said.. but I would prefer to say more.

Rmx does not support non-standard domains. Tried using a url with .io and received an error.

At one time I could change the text, but no longer. This really makes Remix useless.

If the image doesn’t fit the cut out from the image just right, you are screwed. You can’t resize or even move the image from with in the masking for better positioning.

Love this idea and think the implementation is well done! Thanks for another useful tool!

Just one thing would make it perfect... if we had the option to remove the shoutout and the URL of the original source...

it’s not even a clickable link... it just makes the pic ugly for no reason...

I download and every link I copy and paste in Remix it says ‘invalid link URL’.

Unable to use this on another tweet that includes an image. The image is displayed as a URL

Doesn’t work for youtube as of now. Dealbreaker.
