I agree with the other review that Bandbond needs more bands. I listen to a lot of different metal bands & a lot of different genres of metal but the only band I recognized on Bandbond was Lacuna Coil. I like them but not enough to wanna get news on them. Bandbond would be better once it has more bands. It’s a great idea since all us metal fans get our music news pushed back by all this pop bs & so called “rock” bands that are doing whatever they think can make em more money. When there’s more bands, I’ll also redownload it again.

Needs more bands, more underground artists. Also, get the doom scene on board, and I’ll download it again.

Bandbond has an amazing concept. It is very useful for both fans and bands to communicate news.

A quick update/review is necessary, especially considering the older reviews here that are no longer relevant.

The this app team has created something special with Bandbond for rock and metal bands and fans alike. The user community within Bandbond is amazing, inclusive, and global. All are welcome to share their passions — which are not just restricted to musical interests (e.g. share your recent holiday, photos of pets, etc.) — and the new muting function allows you to filter the content you see, if needed.

The band/artist list continues to grow as the end user population grows. As of this review, there are approximately 918 ‘member’ bands, with 3638 ‘member’ artists/musicians. These ‘members’ have chosen to participate in Bandbond with an enhanced profile page. There are many, many… many… more non-member bands and artists whose social media feeds are being imported to this app for your enjoyment.

Besides typical UI/UX improvements, the most recent major feature releases included Bandbond ’s Events calendar. You can now browse upcoming album/EP/single releases, upcoming shows in your area (or around the world), and upcoming festivals — the latest addition to Events, complete with performance schedules and venue maps as available.

I am very grateful to the this app team for taking the risk to start this venture for the rock and metal community. I haven’t fully replaced my social media accounts with this app, but this is where I choose to socialize.
