If Fitloop has been suggested to track your workouts, don’t bother. I’ve been using Fitloop for a very long time now all and it started my calisthenics journey. I completed today’s workout only to be prompted to join their paid membership in order to log it. I was able to track my workouts for years, and see my progress for FREE. The sense of betrayal I feel from Fitloop developer is astounding. this app hasn’t even been updated in years and you weren’t even able to create custom workouts anymore due to a bug on their website, but you could still find many to use. Now all of a sudden, they want start taking basic features like workout records and tracking away from loyal app users out of nowhere. Absolutely horrible business practice and no respect for their user base. Don’t download Fitloop.
(NEW) Latest update, actually might have killed Fitloop for me officially. No more light mode, and the interface got way too complicated, looks like every generic workout tracker app now. also custom workouts are still broken and cost money. Now I definitely have to find a new app
I’ve used this on and off for several years now - it’s intuitive to use, has embedded videos that are very helpful, and connects to the Apple Health app. No complaints, highly recommended!
Please add calorie sync to apple health app.
My kcal still shows 0 despite completing a workout.
Pro: easy to use, tracks progress (paid version), embedded demonstrations of exercises, and intuitive guided routines that progress according to the recommended routine
Con: rest timers DO NOT work if you go to a different app or turn your screen off (I’m using iOS). I do not want to leave my screen on the entire workout and drain my battery. Please, devs, make it so that timers continue and timer sounds play even if Fitloop is in the background or the screen is off.
The best app I’ve found for doing the Reddit recommended routine. It has an overall timer for how long the workout has been going, it has custom timers that operate within that timer, and each exercise can be punctuated by a quick timer.
It gives you your progressions in the form of skill trees, which is really cute and motivating. The whole app is intuitive to use.
Two things that could make it better:
1.) graphs! I’d love some alternate ways to visualize my progress.
2.) being able to edit existing workouts instead of having to make an entirely new one. The RRR defaults the Copenhagen planks to repetitions when it should be measured in seconds.
I wish you luck :)
Anyway I would be happy to use an app with ads, it’s also a great way to earn some money.
How this isn't recommended more is insane. Way to make an app!
Thank you to the developer for making the Reddit recommended routine MUCH more accessible! :)
Feeds the instruction videos straight to you, logging is free, and just a really good option to follow the Reccomended Routine from /r/BodyweightFitness
Beautifully designed, incredibly useful for anyone going through any of the r/bodyweightfitness routines. Looks and feels like a lot of money and effort was put into it.
This is the bomb!
Together with reddit’s Recommended Routine (which i personally call as “Uncle Iroh’s routine” from the Avatar) and Move routine, minimal equipment, and a ton of dedication, gym membership is a thing of the past.
Simple and to the point for Reddit routines!
Looks great and functions greats. If you have a problem, the developer responds very quickly (less than 5 minutes with my issue)
I use Fitloop for the reddit recommended routine and the skills routine for my 5 exercises that I do for handstand skills. It’s so easy my kids use it now even after I’ve changed up my routine to a different routine. The multiple timer features is awesome cause I can take my 2-3 minute break while my son takes his 90 second break. All the progression videos are there. If you can’t figure out the recommended routine after using Fitloop, idk what to tell you.
Great app that makes working out so much more approachable. The video demonstrations are perfect for when you’re doing any exercise for the first time.
A debilitating bug was keeping Fitloop from working correctly, I emailed him, had a response the same day, but was fixed by the next day
10/10 service
Fitloop is just what I was looking for. Just follow it to a tee and you will be doing the recommended routine. I have a few recommendations to make it even better and I hope we can see these in the near future
1. After the warm up section, add a skills section for 5-10 mins to practice handstands
2. Front lever, change it from “reps” to “hold time
3. Add a alternate path for dips to focus on HePU progressions
Everything else is awesome, thanks for making Fitloop. Hope my 2 cents helps.
I for the most part like it. The only thing I wish it had was an easy way (I haven’t figured out how yet) to add in your own exercises. Other than that Fitloop is awesome, and what’s there is more than enough for what I do
I’ve been stalking the r/bodyweightfitness subreddit for a while but have been too intimidated to try out their recommended routine. Fitloop nicely packages it all up and presents the information in an easy to consume manner that has gotten me to give it a try.
An added bonus: the developer is very responsive and quick to address feedback/bugs!
