Oral-B Connect: Smart System Reviews

I have been spending many many hours today trying to get V1.0.7 of OralBConnect to work and can now certify that it is 100% defective, just like other reviewers have reported. Although I can see clearly that my Toothbrush does have an Internet connection (which was surprisingly easy to setup) but OralBConnect simply refuses to show any kind of brushing data. This kind of crap should never have been allowed for download by unsuspecting innocent users who have plunked down $200+ for this product. Oral-B customer support is basically non-existent, since all they do is “write down your data” and then tell you to either reset it or return the product. Another surprise was that they insisted that v1.0.7 is OLD version and I should be using v1.2.x GO FIGURE! SHAME ON THEM for subjecting customers to this kind of torture!!

My wife and I purchased a set of these from Costco. I downloaded OralBConnect . Instructions are numbered with diagrams that don't have any corresponding descriptions for features. OralBConnect can find my toothbrush but hangs at the setup step of "looking for smart charger". Apparently the regular charger isn't enough to use this much lauded feature. I have it a 1 star review for covering this already expensive tooth appliance with Bluetooth iconography when it's clearly a useless feature without buying an, I'm assuming, optional device. Thanks for a really expensive toothbrush that doesnt deliver.

I’ve been using this been using OralBConnect and the Device Belonging to It for a few months now, and I find, it doesn’t work... OralBConnect won’t let you have the settings such as: Renaming the Device & keep the color that you picked. I’ve followed all of the instructions to every word and I still have nothing... hope this is all fixed soon. Cause I may get rid of the Device and App all together. It’s just using extra space and power that I don’t need to waist.

This is a very easy to understand app that shows you the status of your teeth brushing habits. Easy to understand simple to use.

I love the toothbrush and have had one for many many years. However, OralBConnect is awful. All I want from it is to be able to time my brushing. Once again it has failed, it freezes and records or shows no time movement. I’ve deleted OralBConnect and reopened it many times. It will work for a while and then dies. Why did I buy a more expensive brush to get OralBConnect for timing?? I liked the old clock. It never failed!

OralBConnect does what it is intended to do. It functions well for what it is designed to do. However, I used a previous Oral B app where you could see the quadrants of your mouth while brushing and I felt that was more informative that just the circles. Overall a good app and works well but I think it could have more enhancements.

The Genius is fantastic. OralBConnect however, leaves a lot to be desired. The display shows I’m brushing areas that I am not, that I haven’t even started yet. Specifically I’m brushing the bottom teeth and OralBConnect shows I’m brushing the top. I’ve pretty much given up on using OralBConnect as it’s worthless.

Honestly, can’t you just give me a Bluetooth connection without trying to capture my personal information? Don’t need personal information for me to connect to a toothbrush. Do not give these people your personal information. They must be up to no good. We will not sign up and sign in. Avoid Oral-B toothbrushes from now on.

Does not work for iOS 15 on iPhone, as soon as I open OralBConnect , it crashes automatically but on my other devices with iOS 14 it works perfectly fine.

Setup and layout are intuitive, nice features

Everything worked fine and then all of a sudden the base ‘isn’t registered’. The Alexa says to register use the companion app. Unfortunately the button in OralBConnect to add Alexa doesn’t do anything. The Alexa app can’t find the new device either. So Alexa is pretty much useless.

OralBConnect is easy to use. It is user friendly and intuitive.

OralBConnect doesn’t work/connect. I was so excited but I was let down. You would think with us spending all this money on these expensive toothbrushes that they would support us with a working app. NOPE!!! Don’t waste your time, it won’t connect.

Maybe to keep track of kids brushing or if you are an instant amnesiac and you can’t keep track of what cha did or possibly for the heavy bong hitters lotta forgetting going on there. No I’m not signing into your app do you can send me endless spam from Proctor and Gamble! What’s next bluetooth fart counters!

It was me I did not have the guide thing so I thought it was a bad app no idea if it’s good or bad but probably good

I have the Oral B genius 8000 I use with an old charger (which charges perfectly). The pairing procedure finds the toothbrush but stops because it can’t find the smart charger. So OralBConnect is useless for me.

This doesn’t work with newer Oral-B toothbrushes.

I just purchased my Oral-B Genius X and OralBConnect does not work with this toothbrush.

There is a another Oral-B app that does. That app shows your upper and lower teeth and where your bushing at the same time your using your Oral-B toothbrush. With a timer that counts how long you need to bush and OralBConnect also rates your quality of how good your bushing teeth. Pretty slick!!

Smart phones, smart TVs and now smart toothbrushes.

I like the toothbrush and my dentist gave it to me for my braces. But when I tried to set it up it kept saying, “lift your toothbrush off the charger” so I did and then it said, “having trouble finding your toothbrush” this is awful.

I keep having problems with the smart charger connection. It disconnects and I’ve deleted and redownloaded OralBConnect many times, but I can’t connect it still. Please fix this.

OralBConnect does not work well on Android 9 devices. This only works on Android 10 or iPhone devices. It’s a very basic oral care tracking app. I wish it had more features but I assume that will come in future updates. I wish it would track the device settings for the brush and not just how many times or the duration of your brushing.

OralBConnect wouldn’t connect to my smart toothbrush. Downloaded the other OralB app and it would connect...

New Oral-b app is horrible. Please allow us to download the previous version.
