First attempt did alright, after that it was buggy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Hopefully they fix any bugs with this so that way I have a back up remote. You need these things when kids want to play with your remotes.

Every other touch triggers an ad, usual to update to premium for $4.99/week. That’s right, for $20/month or $140/year, you can have a marginally functional remote for your fire stick. It’s a two star only because it performs basic functions, but at a lag, so you always overshoot your target.

I’ve yet to see an ad pop up, it finds my firestick extremely quick, all the features needed work just fine without having premium (including keyboard) , and it hardly takes up any space. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because when you turn your phone off and turn it back on you have to reset SmartRemote . You guys should make it to where it stays connected even if SmartRemote is cleared from history or if the phone turns off.

i just got a new puppy this past may. he is a good dog for the most part but likes to chew on things. he got ahold of my fire stick remote and chewed it up to the point where you could barely use it. i have tried so many apps and you either had to pay for it or it wouldn’t connect. i found SmartRemote. read a couple reviews. looked like a good app so i decided to get it. it was very easy to pair and super easy to use. the only reason why i gave it a 4 star is because it is a little slow but it works. thank you!

I have tried several different apps and this is the only one that is easy to use and really does work. As soon as I downloaded it and opened it I was able to use it. It works better than the actual remote that came with the fire stick. I have tried to use all the other apps and they would get an F if I were to have give them a grade. SmartRemote gets an A+ as far as I can tell. If there are any problems with it then I will just revise my review.

Finally I could find an application that actually works! I LOVE YOU GUYS! My laptop has been broken since last week and because of Corona Virus I can’t fix it I was tired of watching movies on my phone thank you so much for your great app!

This remote is exactly what I’ve been looking for!! We’ve been going through triple A batteries on the daily because I forget to put the fire stick on sleep mode.. this will save me a fortune! Thank You!

Love mirroring with my Peloton app when doing yoga. Seeing the movements on the bigger screen has led to me enjoying the sessions more. Just need to keep my phone in front of the tv and not off to the side. Great app!

It helps me use the tv when I either lose the controller or the batteries are out of power. The only bad thing Is if you turn off your phone you have to start up SmartRemote again

Started using SmartRemote so we could watch church on our TV during the Coronavirus- glad I found out about it! A blessing to watch with a bigger screen as we hear the Word preached!

✨Forget me nots✨ It can controls the tv but half the time it will not work plus I don’t think the owner still updates SmartRemote if you did not now but it is free and pretty good when working

SmartRemote stopped working. Just like in previous reviews. However, I deleted SmartRemote and reinstalled it and everything is working correctly. Does there need to be something in place to update maybe?

Installed on my IPhone 8 Plus from Verizon, installed easy, had to unplug and plug in my fire stick. Other than that. Works as it should. Voice command and free range screen selection. So far no issues. Installed Today

I love SmartRemote cause my 1yr old son threw out my firestick remote and i didnt want to buy a replacement one right this second and SmartRemote saved me from having to buy one right away. One thing i wish they would add volume buttons bit so far thats the only thing i would change about it. Love love love it.

I’m honestly not sure why SmartRemote has such a bad overall rating. I was able to set it up in less than 5 minutes. It works perfectly both upright and sideways and I have absolutely no complaints. Thanks for making home workouts from my phone a breeze in the midst of a pandemic!

Other fire sticks are frowned upon based on the simple fact that premium features made available by subscription only. Only idiots and broke people use the featureless free versions. At the same time don’t force me to agree with your nasty reoccurring fee designed by Greedy Guys with bad breath. No thankyou. One time fee for life was the main deciding factor in why I chose this remote. It’s what makes this remote superior. Fill?

Its really handy and could do everything that my old remote could and i bet loads if people enjoy using it when they have list theirs or broken or it wint working

SmartRemote has never given me any trouble, from player my videos to switching iPads! Highly recommended for casting with the fire stick fire stick TV!
