No weight tracking

I really wanted to love this program/app. I love the programs and workouts. The detailed explanations on how to perform exercises is helpful. The biggest downfall is the inability to add your weight amount on the exercises. You can add your weights for various exercises in the progress section, but those don’t show up while you are working through a workout. So to see my weight amount for each of the exercises, I have to leave the workout (which usually has a timer running) go to progress, find the exercise, then see the current weight. I want to open WorkoutBuilder , start my workout, and everything be in one place.

Awesome Workouts, only one problem

Would have given it 5 stars because it is hands down the best workout apps I have ever had...but in the last two weeks it hasn’t been loading the images to show you how to do the exercises. Still gives you the timer, which is and awesome future(though in the beginning I think I had PTSD from the whistle) and it tells you what exercise you’ll be doing, but if you don’t know that particular exercise you have to go and look it up on the web to see what they want you to do. Which makes you pause your work out, bringing your heart rate down, and losing momentum in the overall work out. Had to delete WorkoutBuilder yesterday and the day before just to get it work right.
But when it’s good...it’s GREAT! Would still highly suggest WorkoutBuilder. If you can discipline yourself to do it, the results are amazing.

Love the idea

Loving the idea of WorkoutBuilder. Don’t feel the need to pay a personal trainer but I also don’t want to take the time to research and plan workouts. WorkoutBuilder definitely has some kinks it needs worked out: if you get out of WorkoutBuilder (to change music or answer a text) while on cardio it will freeze and lose track of your progress. Additionally the labels for the upcoming exercise are often incorrect and referencing the last work out. Love the option to switch out individual exercises in a given routine if you’re not keen to do them.

Love this workout app but...

Love this workout app overall. It’s easy to navigate, the workouts are very informative and easy to follow. You can toggle the workout guides as needed, and it will save where you left off if you need to take a break. Meal guides, yoga, pre/post workout warm ups and cool downs built right into the workouts. I really do enjoy using it, and it’s fairly affordable!

However, there are few things that bug me.

1) when searching for workouts via Pinterest, it’s virtually impossible for me to just add it right to my WL app. I have to open both apps in my browser and basically use the apps through the browser just to add the workout to my calendar. Maybe this is user error on my part, but I tried for a while to add the workouts seamlessly (from one app to the other) and it didn’t happen. Better off just using workout labs through the web browser.

2) no option to keyword search the workouts in the Library section.

Minor issues, so overall 4 stars :)

So simple and effective.

I am really liking WorkoutBuilder! It has allowed me to learn on my own and take an active role in my fitness. I have gone through two beginner plans to try it out and I can really see a difference in my strength, endurance and overall fitness. All by myself and at home doing additional repetitions and time. I feel ready to try intermediate plans. Every week I get a full body workout with the daily muscle group routines. The routines are not long. I play my own music. No one talking to you. Before I know it, it’s over and I’m done for the day.
I feel I can take charge and choose from many options. You can preview the workouts so you know what you will be doing. I know I will be making my own plans in the future. For now, I’m just learning a lot with the help of WorkoutBuilder.

Easy way to get a good workout

I love WorkoutBuilder! I love that you can filter different workouts that use body weight vs weights and gym materials. Even within the workout you can quickly and easily swap out a specific move (ex: jump squats for lunges) this actually pushes me to get a good workout in. I did the monthly membership for a year but ended up buying WorkoutBuilder outright because I use it ALL the time. I’ve recommended it to a lot of friends. So easy to use and not intimidating.

Amazing! Essential to my fitness journey!

Over the past 5 years I’ve gained quite a bit of weight due to medical conditions. Now that they’re resolved I’ve struggled endlessly to get back to my previous weight and feel fit again. WorkoutBuilder is INCREDIBLE! It is the first thing that’s worked for me and I’ve stuck to. I really love the guided workouts and the chance to choose and 8 week workout program. Whoever made WorkoutBuilder- thank you!! Feeling strong and pumped for the first time in years.

Perfect Balance

This ap is a good one for sure. Have tried several apps in the past and most are either boring, to easy, involve ridiculous amounts of gym equipment and/or just don’t function properly. This one however is a good balance of variety, reliability and functionality. I am coming back after an injury and some time off so this ap is helping keep a solid pace with out being yo aggressive or to easy. Highly recommend

Love love love!

WorkoutBuilder is the perfect answer to what always hindered me from working out in the past - what do I do and how do I do it? The work out plan geared towards what I specifically want to achieve is amazing as well as the diagrams for the exercises.

As a former college athlete I always had a coach or lifting coach doling our exercises so when it came time for me to do it on my own it was hard to have the same work ethic or knowledge to achieve the work out I was looking for. Thank god for WorkoutBuilder!

Workout schedule solved!

This is one of the best and easiest apps I’ve ever used! I was paying for personal training and I got WorkoutBuilder and ended up cancelling my training and just using this and I couldn’t be happier! Even if you get off track, there’s endless ways to get started again and you can choose from so many workout plans. You can’t go wrong, buy the lifetime membership and you’ll never be left wondering what to do at the gym today!

I thought it was going to work.

Update: The problem got fixed. With WorkoutBuilder working I really like it. It helps me keep track of my workouts and not feel so lost when I’m in the gym. Highly recommend.

I downloaded WorkoutBuilder and everything went really well I had an amazing first workout out. When I went back in to see the next days workout I kept getting an error message. I was no longer able to get into anything on WorkoutBuilder . I deleted WorkoutBuilder and redownloaded it but now I can no longer log in because I keep getting a error. Nothing I do is fixing it.

Great app, needs more content which is coming

I have been using WorkoutBuilder for a few days now and I really like it.

This week was my first time back in the gym since the pandemic started a year ago. Before that I had been going to the gym consistently for only 2.5 months, so I’m very much at a beginner level (I couldn’t keep up with the home workouts over the quarantine 😕). When I went back in on Tuesday I was armed with WorkoutBuilder, which helped me a lot.

WorkoutBuilder walked me through my workout and made it easy for me to stay on track with my workout.

I really enjoy the Build Your Own Workout feature (desktop site only). I was able to create a custom workout for myself and save it to My Workouts so that I can access it from my app when I go to the gym.

I would like to see more workouts added to WorkoutBuilder . I reached out to WorkoutBuilder developers on this and got a quick response. I was informed that new workouts would be added very soon with more new workouts added each week.

I would also like to see more exercises added to the Build Your Own Workout feature. Luckily there is a workout suggestion box!

I don’t have any complaints! Really enjoying WorkoutBuilder and I just bought a lifetime subscription.

Most efficient app and less reading

WorkoutBuilder is amazing and has got me to my results the quickest and most efficient way. I have referred WorkoutBuilder to multiple people that have also started there program. WorkoutBuilder allows me to change my workouts up. And allows full control of anything you want to do on app. I’ve been with WorkoutBuilder for a little over 2-3 yrs I believe so I definitely recommend. Let alone the makers check in on you and actually have a convo with you which I absolutely love. Download and start your workout journey today

Best Fitness App in Existence

I have been through SO many fitness apps and nothing compares. The layout is so clean and easy to use, and there’s really great plans set up for all types of fitness. I’ve never been so inspired—I’m going through them quickly so I hope more are uploaded soon.

A good feature would be to see community workouts (i.e. the ones that can be made online posted to a forum page). Anyway, awesome app.

The calendar is convenient and easy to adjust, workout images could not be simpler to understand. Love that it times everything for me.

Great for ALL fitness levels

I have been using WorkoutBuilder for over 8 years now. I used it to help me when I was a personal trainer. Now I am on my own fitness journey and I’m still using WorkoutBuilder . It is good for beginners because there are pre-written programs. It is good for the professional because you can make your own programs. there are a wide variety of exercises, including a home gym with no weights or equipment all the way through to a full gym with all the equipment. They have even included exercises you can do at your work. I also love the yoga feature and stretching exercises. Lifetime member!

Love This App!

I originally got into Workout Labs on Pinterest and only recently purchased WorkoutBuilder . I really like how WorkoutBuilder is set up. I am always in need of help developing great workouts for the home and the gym. I am not overly interested in video classes, but WorkoutBuilder has already been beneficial with the pre-developed workouts that list the exercises with text descriptions and gifs for each exercise. It is also helpful to be able to change individual exercises as well as scheduled workouts. I highly recommend WorkoutBuilder to anyone like me who enjoys working out on their own with less intrusive instructions for workouts and exercises.

Awesome App

I love WorkoutBuilder. I was skeptical due to having to pay money in order to keep it going, however WorkoutBuilder gives you full warm-up, work-outs, and cool down exercises every day according to what you’re wanting to work on. No only that but it choose those workouts to fit home exercises or gym exercises. My favorite part of WorkoutBuilder is it times out the workout for you so you know when to pause or when to start the next set. It also allows you to swap a workout out for a different one targeting the same muscle group in case you cannot manage the one provided. Overall, great workouts. Definitely gets your heart going and makes you sore the next day.

Love the app BUT

absolutely love WorkoutBuilder, love that they have a whole library of workouts to choose from & even workout plans that can be filtered based off fitness level, equipment, goals, & many more! I also love that I’m able to make my own custom workouts & can see which exercise targets what muscles. It does have a few glitches here & there but nothing major. My only wish is that they would create an iWatch version!! Sometimes when I’m working out I don’t want to constantly have my phone on me to see what exercise is coming up or to hit next. It’d be way more convenient to have a few basic features on the apple watch. Anyways a girl can dream *fingers crossed*

Frequent Gym User

I really enjoy using WorkoutBuilder. Sometimes I go to the gym and I don’t really know what to do so I like that there are some workout plans already created in WorkoutBuilder . They can be very lengthy but I modify them to fit my schedule and time. I’ve seen amazing results and lost 4 inches off my waist following their 8 week total body workout plan. I even missed a few days here and there. It has a timer for resting periods and the pictures move to show you how to do each exercise. Only thing I’d love is for more workout plans to be added. Some that are no more than 30 minutes would be great, more variety as well. I definitely recommend WorkoutBuilder though. I haven’t used it to it’s full capacity. I believe there is a way to create your own workout plans online. I just haven’t done it yet.

Couldn’t workout today because of a survey

I missed my workout today because I couldn’t type answer to a survey question box in WorkoutBuilder . Every time I tried to answer the question WorkoutBuilder instantly disappeared and I couldn’t work because of it. I hope this is fixed soon because it’s really frustrating and annoying to not be able to workout.
