They advertise HiTranslate as a free to use software but that’s the farthest thing from the truth. It also doesn’t work well either.

With only 80 reviews at the time of writing this and an overall of 4/5 stars, I have to believe that the majority of them are fake reviews. All the written reviews were 1 Star and all complained about the same issue. High price to use + inconsistent translation.

Bottom line - there is no value in using this.

I don’t normally rate at all, since I don’t care enough to, but the first thing that happens is there is a pop-up for a $85 fee to use it for a year. Luckily you can exit out but seriously? There could’ve been unsuspecting people who go to press home and boom, they just lost $85 for something they didn’t even know. The concept is great for HiTranslate. But it clearly is meant to try and take a few bucks off of you and that is super annoying.

So my friend talks Spanish and I barely talk it and when I said I need our notes in my phone it said it in Spanish this is very help full

I love HiTranslate it helps me so much I have been wanting to know Spanish for a while and this helps so muchhhhh thanks for making it

I saw an advertisement for a free translation app and decided to check it out. Obviously when I opened and almost got tricked into putting my thumb print for and 85 dollar transaction I got annoyed. I continued to attempt to translate 1 picture to test It to see if it even worked. Unfortunately this scam of an app wouldn’t even let me get one picture translated.

HiTranslate itself is free yes, but the only thing you can use without paying for it IN HiTranslate is the translator you can use on google! And $85?!? I was excited to use the other features on HiTranslate but the first thing that pops up is an ad to pay 85 dollars to unlock all of it! I am not paying for this, I would rather use google.

I honestly don’t like HiTranslate because even when I cancelled the subscription, it kept on taking money out of my account and it is still taking money out of my account even though I cancelled it. Plus, you can get the same thing on google translate for free

HiTranslate tries to get you to sign up for its yearly $86 fee within the 3rd screen and if you don’t there is nothing at all free to use. Thank god that I have it set up to confirm a payment otherwise I’d be fighting for my money back I am sure. HiTranslate is ridiculous.

I just got this like 5 minutes ago and now I am deleting it right now because in order to translate you have to start a free trail. Also say you have a child that gets on your phone a lot then they could hit that and start a three day trial and I’m guessing that you won’t like that so please do not get HiTranslate.

Honestly I thought it was going to be free, since on the ad it didn’t say anything about paying. But when I tried to translate something with the camera it tried to make me pay. Same thing with the voice translation. It isn’t free.

I got HiTranslate so I could take a picture of something and see what it meant. FALSE. It’s not free, you need a subscription and not everyone has money. You can’t do anything on HiTranslate without spending money. It’s an honestly terrible app and I shouldn’t have fallen for it’s fake news. It’s not free. Don’t buy it.

I thought it was free, but when tryin to use it, it said I have to pay for it. So I canceled HiTranslate and the next day my account was charged $86 for the year subscription that I don’t even want. And I want my money back because I’m not even gonna use it

HiTranslate is horrible I downloaded it hoping it would help but you must pay a fee trust me it’s basically google translate except on their you can talk
Into it on this you have to PAY for EVERYTHING except typing and it can’t even be voice typing AGAIN DO NOT GET HiTranslate it is a waste of storage

If I could rate it less I would. I downloaded it hoping to use it as a tool as we have multiple languages spoken where I work. It can barely translate anything. And it immediately charged me $95?? No thank you. Certainly not worth that for the quality.

I downloaded HiTranslate because I saw it was free. As soon as you open it it uses your fingerprint or Face ID or automatically sign up for a year membership for $90. I had to call Apple and my bank to cancel and get a refund that will take up to 30 days to receive.

If you require a trial before allowing us to at least test the product (app) then it’s not worth it. I prefer apps that allow a testing period of 1-3 days without trials of any kind. Basically free for 1-3 days. When the time is up HiTranslate locks and asks to sign up with the paid trial.

HiTranslate is very bad and they said it was free but it’s not even close I believe the good reviews are fake. The Audio translator is bad and barely works and there are advertisements everywhere and it kept switching up my languages. Overall I think the developers gave up on it

They should just make HiTranslate where you pay an initial fee then you have everything, but nope the have it to where it looks free but you have to pay each month ti actually use HiTranslate.

Translates some Spanish words but not all. Had to use google, which is why I got HiTranslate . I didn’t want to type it all in google.

I literally opened HiTranslate and for absolutely no reason, I am charged $85 for a one year membership, when I did not subscribe to anything. HiTranslate is made by a bunch of money hungry f***’s, and I wish the worst for them. I don’t know how this is legal and why HiTranslate has such a high rating for the trash app it is. I promise there is better apps that do not scam. Don’t download.

The moment I opened HiTranslate it offered a year long $85 subscription and my thumb was already on my home button so it immediately scanned it and took $85 out of my account. I don’t know who to reach out to to ask for a refund because this was a complete accident.

I was trying to translate a word in Japanese. Every time I clicked translate, an ad popped up saying that I just HAD to buy it, because if I didn’t, it wouldn’t translate. Don’t waste your time downloading HiTranslate, it isn’t really free.

takes advantage of kids who accidentally subscribe for $85 and then there’s no way to cancel the subscription?! literally there is no cancel button like i have on my other subscriptions.

This is not a free app and upon download there is no notification to consumer or a fee. I was charged almost $90 after the download with indication of a fee prior to my authorization. False advertisement if you ask me.

Google already does this for free using the google lens feature by tapping the camera. HiTranslate costs money when you can do everything with the google app.

Give me my money back. I did not subscribe to anything. I just wanted to check out HiTranslate to see if it would be useful, but it automatically charged me $85.

I believe that the people who gave 5 stars are not real users. Some of them also left a comment "I really love this game," and I have no idea how to play it.
