Downloaded “new” app, but new tickets disappeared

After I downloaded the new app and bought new tickets; a bug in your new app set off a continuous loop that forced me to download the new app countless more times. In other words, it didn’t seem to recognize that I had already downloaded the new app. Then it deleted all my new tickets—that I had just purchased using the new app—and before I even had a chance to use any of the new tickets and the new app said I had 0 tickets after it displayed all the tickets purchased on the new app but then it deleted all the new tickets minutes later when it forced me to delete and download the new app...again and again and again.

Tell your IT developers to fix the new app and all these bugs and next time TEST QTicketing using basic use processes and test using an iPhone 7 Plus.

Also, Under no circumstances should an upgrade to an app, delete all the existing purchases. That would be like deleting everybody’s cash every time you upgrade a bank software to the next release. Or it’d be like deleting all files and photos and apps on a computer every time someone downloads a new update. That is bad programming and unacceptable software upgrade process .

Train your software development , testing and QA staff , fix these bugs, and refund all my tickets that your buggy new software has deleted.

Metro does what metro does best and created a terrible solution to a nonexistent problem. The old app worked perfectly fine and did not need a replacement. Of course I don’t remember my password to login to the new app so I requested (4 times now) a password reset. I started doing this 2 weeks ago and have still not received my email to reset my password so the new app is totally unusable to me. If I meet a fare inspector on the train I hope they are an understanding individual cause I am not paying their over the top fine for not having a paid fare. It is their fault I cannot pay for or display my fares because metro is the epidemy incompetence. I am 100% sure that all positive reviews of this worthless app were made my metro employees who had a hand in bringing it to life or by employees of the company who overcharged our city government for an unneeded and nonworking app.

Metro login credentials do not work . QTicketing is worthless until that feature is operational. Also, the link in the old app to download the new app does not work properly. You have to manually find the new app, which again, doesn’t even work. Lastly, you will lose any credits you have. They have to be used through the old app within 10 days, which is a ridiculously short notice.

QTicketing is getting bad .I brought a ticket got on the bus trying to find it then try to buy a new one it’s not going through. I felt so embarrassed everyone on the bus was looking at me like I don’t have money . Had to tell the driver QTicketing not working thank God she didn’t kick me off . I wasn’t gonna let that happen with my second bus had to waste money to call an Uber metro please do better

I had the same issue with me buying tickets with the new app and then they disappeared it has been since early September where the issue has not been resolved. It was around 250 tickets that I bought and it keeps saying it’s stored in the device and it is not there. I tried to delete QTicketing and re download it and still same issue. Now it keeps telling me that “a network connection is required for this task. Please check your connectivity and try again”. I keep trying it on my cellular service and wifi and same issue. I made a case number but no success. Contact me Metro

Buggy and expensive.

Added tickets and hit Apple Pay. Said the transaction didn’t go through. Added tickets again and added PayPal payment method. Clicking they final payment button did nothing. Wiped out my cart. Added ten more tickets and skipped the first Apple Pay button to get to the cart checkout Apple Pay button (why are there two?). Payment went through. Checked my Apple Pay and it hit my account twice. Pretty expensive ticket purchase. Needs some more testing and a thorough UX consultation. Bad user experience and buggy payment system that errs on the side of overcharging. Called customer service and just got “eternity-hold”. Smh...

It made me use two tickets instead of one!

Today I accidentally activated two tickets instead of one! that’s a ticket wasted and I cannot take it back. All due to this new app, old app didn’t have that problem. Just the slow activation or buying tickets I don’t need because it didn’t show me tickets I had first.

What i need in this new app is to make the activation of tickets fast so i don’t hold the line. The 3hr warning can be said when you buy it, for activation its unnecessary. Also, if you want to inform the client a second time, client could read activated ticket saying the 3hr warning (which it already does).

I would recommend installing a security message that warns you about activating TWO tickets instead of one. That would be better than the 3hr warning. Thank you for your attention!

Missing card

Why is it so complicated to retrieve a Missing Card? I work 8 to 9 hours a day. Whenwill I have the time to drive into downtown to get another one? Holistic or convenient. QTicketing doesn’t even work the way it’s supposed to. Not have an actual digital card on your phone that you can scan to avoid losing it.

So this morning I downloaded the Metro app and tried to take the bus to work, but unfortunately I was unable to add my credit card to pay for my bus card. Now I have to give my hard earned money to Uber. Please fix this. The only option is Apply Pay and tbh I’m very frustrated after trying to add my card multiple times. Guess Metro doesn’t want to get paid today...

App shuts off

As soon as I click on QTicketing it loads then closes I’ve reinstalled it several times restarted my phone erased stuff everything it’s still doing the same thing idk what’s the issue and customer support says the same thing just uninstall and reinstall and it still doesn’t work and it worked on my phone before so again idk the issue my phone is up to date

Too many apps just to ride a bus

There’s 3 different apps just to ride a bus. One for tickets, one for the routes, and one for information. That’s just a lot to do something g yoh can do in just ONE APP

plus I can’t see the letters while I’m typing right now so forgive any typos. That’s just one more big you should fix.

It’s great as we move forward with online, but come on Metro! It has so many bugs. I would give it a five if it was friendly and easy to use. Needs an upgrade we 2021 app looks like it has never gotten an update in four years.

Why is there not one app that accomplish multiple needs. I can’t reload my card without updating my profile…every time?
. Can’t do that on Ride Metro, you need to download another app. I have THREE METRO APPS on my phone. It’s ridiculous.

The main screen isn’t formatted for new iPhones. Seems like a pretty basic thing to get right.

Not upset about anyone losing credits/tickets. Metro gave everyone plenty of prior notice and we still have until Aug 31 to use them in the old app.

As previously stated in some of the other reviews, tickets did NOT transfer over. I’m keeping the other app so I can at least show proof of my previously unused tickets. Metro, please fix this! I don’t want to lose my tickets. I’ll adjust my rating once this is resolved.

No option for student discount?

Just got it. Nice to see apple pay. Seems intuitive enough however - no option to allow veterans, seniors and students to take advantage of the 50% discount on fares. Will have to obtain the Fare Card in order to take advantage of those discounts - which is redundant and diminishes the usefulness of QTicketing .

Hopefully this is reconciled in an update.

I lost all my tickets (or fares) when I deleted the old app to downloaded the new app but I guess that was my fault. This new app (or upgrade) seems to be working well. However it would have been nice to have received notification that my issues was resolved. When this new system came online, my ERS Commuter Spending Acct debit card would not allow me to purchase any tickets. I had been working with Metro since Aug 21st but I guess the problem has been resolved because I was able to purchase tickets this morning. All in all, it’s very convenient storing my Metro tickets here on my phone, thanks Metro.

Ticket Sorting

I purchase tickets in mass and usually have a few previously purchased tickets available when I do. If you have existing tickets when purchasing more, the older tickets that expires first appear at the bottom instead of the top of available tickets. I have to scroll to the very bottom to activate the older tickets. It would be helpful if they were sorted by the expiration date when purchased.

I found out about QTicketing a month ago. I've used it for those moments when boarding a bus and finding out that my Q-Card was missing and I really needed to get to my destination.

Therefore, applying for a paperless ticket was in order. It was quick and convenient for me to get a ticket to continue my journey. Kudos Metro for being a leader in allowing your users the opportunity and flexibility of using your app. Again ahead of your time.

I like the Day-Pass. Can ther be cheaper Weekly Passes? $10 Week Passes? And why aren’t Honorable War Veterans treated the same on the Free Pass? But for functionality and use of QTicketing , 5-Star.

I found QTicketing very useful. You just need to follow instructions and viola you’re fine. My only comment is not with QTicketing but with the drivers some will:
1. Just look at your ticket
2. Some will ask you to tap the Center of your ticket so when it turns yellow it means it’s active
3. Some will ask you to tap the date

So it means not all drivers have ate the same in approaching QTicketing and still prefers the card and reload type.

For me this is awesome and a step further to improvement 👍🏽
