Due to this pandemic, I’ve been very stressed. I’m currently in middle school, so I’m juggling being alone all day (my single parent mom has to go to work), school, homework, online extracurriculars, and trying to relax with friends. It’s getting to overwhelming, but had this pandemic not been around, it would seem normal.
I was scrolling on Tik Tok, and found out about “shifting”. It’s basically where you’re body is asleep, but your mind is awake in a desired reality. I wanted to try it for myself to possibly be in my own world for a while. A big part of it was meditating, and that was something I did not expect. Since I have nothing better to do, I thought I would give meditation a shot.
It was most certainly worth it. I came across TheMindfulnessMeditationApp, and the only meditation I had done was one time in an extracurricular. I just completed day 2 this morning, and it’s so helpful! I had a test, tried out the new breathing; not only was ready for it study wise, but I was mental prepared after trying out the quick breathing method.
I doubt anyone has read all the way down here, but if you have, be sure to check TheMindfulnessMeditationApp out!
