App claims to have unguided meditations, but doors not - at least not in free version. Only guided ones in free. I an deleting
UPDATE: Developer responded to my review, advising that the “unguided” meditations were on the “unguided meditations” page. Not exactly. There is only one library page and it is labeled “Guided Meditations.” There are boxes on that page, each one containing various guided meditations. If you scroll down that page (below what you can initially see) you will find a box that looks just like the guided meditations boxes but is named “Unguided meditations.” I suppose that you would find that if you used the app enough, but if you were just looking for unguided meditations, you would not expect to find them on a page labeled “Guided Meditations.” Alas, once you find them they are nothing more than count down watches
The app is aimed just at guided meditations, so perhaps I was too harsh my initial rating of 1 Star. So I am raising it to 3 stars. No higher, due to the issues I discussed above. The app may be fine for guided meditations (I’ve no idea), but if you want unguided ones you should look at an app like Timer. OTOH, I have no idea how good Timer is with guided meditations. ;-)

When current meditation running you can’t go back on home screen and explore or see other episodes while current one running in background.
Headspace is like once you played then it load full 30 min episode and then whether you are in WiFi or cellular network or break in network it doesn’t stop and continuously run in background for 30 min. So no frustration to hit play again and again if that interrupts due to breaking of network.
There should be a way to keep mediation offline. Because there is no point of running same episode everyday over network. It stress servers and contribute global warming. I know might be less revenue generating but overall helpful for the world.
They can charge $0.99 for premium service with features. Affordable and may be people will buy more subscription rather expensive one less. 99 cents hit buy. 10$ let me think it is worth? Oh wait there may be better service! Oh no it’s not worth 10$ let’s cancel. So why not just 99 cents and bingo done. It’s ok even if something I don’t like but not much expensive and let’s keep it.

I’ve tried several times over the years to develop a meditation practice with poor long term results. Reading about meditation and trying to do it the “right way” didn’t work well for me. I love this app. It is simple to use and offers a variety of guided meditations as well as a variety of times for practice. Maybe it’s just the right timing for me now but this app has helped me stick with a consistent practice for weeks. I highly recommend it.
