I have an online fashion store that caters to clients outside Nigeria; US, UK , Canada & the rest of the world. Through our year 2022 - I used this app as my shipping partner & was able to assure my customers of shipping delivery on or before 6 days because this app used DHL. I shipped over 100 packages using this app in year 2022.
Outside Nigeria; customers write reviews after receiving their order ; I depend on those reviews to get more customers. I was paying N18,500 as shipping fee as well. So I make sure I do my Best to make them happy.
All went well until this app restructured their shipping & started offering standard shipping and basic shipping (can’t remember what it’s called) this was a big mistake on their part. Then cheaper shipping is only offered in certain states & it’s supposed to be faster but it the worst shipping I’ve ever used in my life . I sent a package from Lagos to the US ; it took almost 3 weeks to arrive; & there was no tracking number; are you kidding me?? I couldn’t send tracking to my customer & every time I want to know where my package is for fear of getting lost I have to call this app & also waste my call credit.
They have changed from DHL to UPS. In other states u are only have the option of using regular shipping which is about N26,000 - I sent a package 2 weeks ago via this app & their shipping partner UPS … do you know as I write this review this package is still in transit??? After paying such an Amount? It’s been 14 days .. WOW .. and the funny part is that I sent another package that same day to the US via DHL & that package was delivered in 6 days. And I paid N30,000 for sending it via DHL .. I should have just sent this 2 weeks in transit package via DHL.. this app is confused.
Bottom line .. this is where my business relationship with this app . I cannot risk the reputation of my business trying to ship a package for cheap with a company that cannot ensure my package is delivered within the time frame stipulated: which is 6-9 business days.
If you don’t want to get frustrated frantically trying to track your package & calm your customers down & for the sake of your own peace of mind I’d advice you to leave this app alone & use DHL direct ; figure out a way to include the shipping cost in the price you quote to your customers.
