My photos has been deleted but it wasn’t by me. The app mailfunctened and didn’t work anymore. Can I please get the photos back that were deleted.

This is the second time that anytime I go to open the app it won’t open and crashes. Last time I had to delete and reinstall the app, but buy doing so, I lost all of my previous photos, with no option to save photos in the app, I’m very hesitant to delete and reinstall again, help!
