Cute but I don’t want to play it anymore

The game gets too hard too quickly. They’ll introduce a new element in the game immediately after they’ve already added one. For example, where I’m at in the game they just introduced having to tap “idle readers” as they walk up to the counter to get them to move so other customers can order. They only gave me two levels of getting used to the new mechanic before they throw me a whole new curve ball. Now I have to mix potions before putting them in the double layer bottle. I’ve barely gotten used to using the double layer bottle and now I have to worry about losing customers from book readers while having to layer mixed potions. WAY TOO HARD!

The party mechanic is kind of annoying as well. I tried to use my gems to host a Gala. It took my gems twice but never started the party. There’s an option in the settings for the game to “Report a Bug,” so I tried to report this but it didn’t send me anywhere or show a way to comment about the bug. I’m not even sure if anything was reported.

It’s also difficult to find where I can upgrade my summoning crystal. I feel like the upgrade should be on the same screen where you summon a hero to help you out.

It’s a beautiful game. I love the art style, but it’s frustrating me so much that it’s hard for me to bring myself to play it anymore.

Good but..

It’s quite understandable when a mobile game places micro transactions within itself, after all with it being free there is no other way to really generate revenue but the sheer amount of attempts to try and shank you for your money in this game is baffling.

I enjoyed the game for what it is, never played the first but I still enjoyed this one. But the amount of times this game tried to take money from you is what makes me give it such a low score, every single turn and corner has some amount of micro transaction involved, the game also fall into the hole that is working on an energy based system to go into missions which usually these sort of games compensate by letting you watch an add to restore some energy which to be fair this game does BUT they they limit the amount of adds you can watch per day which ensures that you will at some point be forced to spend gems if you wanna keep playing.

Overall a pretty scummy practice but if your just going to play for a nit you will never really notice this, still, it is there and it it’s horribly unmotivating to keep playing

Good but has its issues

This is a fun game. I’ve gotten all the areas unlocked, and the time management gets pretty difficult. The animations are well done, the patrons are interesting, and it feels good to update your shops.

My biggest gripe with this game is the energy/mana. For one, it’s ridiculous that the devs think that the levels are “free” but the workers are the thing that cost. You cannot even begin to hope to play higher levels without workers, so no, the levels are not “mana free.” Even worse, the game is buggy enough to not let you even gain more mana. You should be able to watch an ad to get 10, but every time I have tried the ad will play but I will get nothing in return. Instead, you have to use gems to restore energy, which can be in short supply, so you have to pay to play the levels after playing... as little as 3 levels (which are only a couple of minutes long). I also dislike that there is no option to even pay for no ads. Ads will pop up whether you like it or not.

All in all, it’s an okay experience. The game is nice, but not great.

Too hard to tell red and orange apart

At first I loved this game as it's a classic time management game really beautifully done. The difficulty ramps up fast and normally I'd love the challenge because so many of these games are mind-numbingly easy, but it's too hard for me to see the differences in potions on an iPhone 13 Pro. For example, orange and red look very similar and can be hard to tell apart unless you have them right next to each other. There's a color blind feature that adds patterns to the colors to differentiate them, which is awesome in theory. But red is lines and orange is... more lines. If I were on an iPad or something, it probably wouldn't be an issue. I don't mind struggling to perfect levels trying to juggle mechanics, but it's frustrating to fail because I can't tell what the order even is.

Most awesome mobile game

Let me just preface this by saying that this is probably one of the best games I’ve ever down loaded off of the Apple Store. If you are thinking of getting it definitely do get it. You can tell that a lot of time was put into the production and execution of this game there are so many factors and little nuances like the story lines and vast differences in the different levels that makes this such a great app. It really does deserve a five but the only issue I have with it is how mana is collected. Mine often doesn’t collect itself if I leave PotionPunch2 so I leave PotionPunch2 at 4 mana go to sleep wake up and I’m still at 4 mana it makes it an obstacle to play this game. But the game is still a 4.5 for me it’s amazing and you won’t get bored playing it unlike other games which are too repetitive.

TIP: play with a pen, I used to play on my phone but I was advancing very slowly and was stuck at challenging levels much longer but when I play on my iPad w Apple pen it’s so much easier to control the game!

Great Game, but don’t like the hidden changes

The game is pretty good in it of itself, you can pretty much earn all the coins you need in game to upgrade things and even if you do make purchases in game you are going to be spending 100’s of dollars just to get the bare minimum upgrades.

I’ve been playing this game for a year or so now (maybe more) and have all the upgrades and all locations unlocked (I’m almost at having all the locations levels at 3 stars as well. (Only need to do the last few levels of the final venue that I’m working on now)

My only qualm was when I first started to play this game endless mode was my absolute favorite, literally played it for over 5 hours one time. But they changed how you can play it (use to be that the tips would stay on the counter and you had to hit theives that tried to steal the coins and thus you could control the flow of traffic in your shop by leaving the tip in a customer’s stop which prevented new patrons from coming in) now it’s hard to even survive 10 minutes which in a way is a bot heart breaking cause I put a lot of time in this game building up my venues and figured out that strategy only for them to secretly take it out and not tell anyone in patch notes.

I am not sure how much longer I’ll play this game once I finish everything as now that I can’t really play Endless mode for more than 10-15 minutes the game is going to get old fast.

An Excellent Sequel

I absolutely adored the first potion punch and this game is a noble and pleasant sequel to its predecessor. The graphics are delightful and smooth, the gameplay is simple to grasp, and the level evolution is graded superbly for introducing players to new levels of complexity every step of the way.

My biggest qualm is the same one I have with most mobile games; time-based play restriction. Workers are not a requirement to play with, but the quality of life improvements that they provide make it almost unfun to play without them. With that in mind, requiring a special currency to utilize them that only refills over time unless you pay for it is a huge buzzkill. I find myself not even interested in playing once my mana runs out and the more time I spend not playing the game and waiting for my mana to refill, the less interested in the game I become.

5 stars for a very high-quality game, minus a star for (what is essentially) time-based restriction on progression.

Cute Game

I absolutely love the first Potion Punch. It’s thrilling and I really feel bad for missing a customer or having to clean a bowl, etc. because it cost money to fill everything, and it wasted money when you mess up. The achievements are exciting and I actually like the voices because one of the elf noises annoys my husband so I love when that character comes around haha. The fact that you can continually play and not have to worry about “energy” to play the next level is great. You also could watch Ads for gems almost continuously if needed to reach achievements.

This second game so far is nice. The animation is great, and I feel more connected with the workers and like that they level up when you use them. You can’t get free gems for watching videos, but so far, it seems like we don’t need gems as much as the first game. Hopefully this is still the case later in the game. I’m still in the first village. If it ends up that I HAVE to buy gems to basically move on in the villages, I’ll be a little sad. The mechanics are different than PP1, and the style of the game is almost like any other game with levels where you have energy to play the next level and cut scenes. When I’m playing, I try not to compare to PP1, since they are so different. So PP2 is a great game, just think of it as a separate game than PP1 and you’ll like it.

KING of the genre!

I have always enjoyed the fact paced serving games where you upgrade things as you go to make more money, make items faster, extend time, etc... and have a folder full of these type of games. I could delete the entire folder of games and replace ALL OF THEM with this game. It’s super fun, always challenging, and the cartoon style of the artwork is EPIC. This is honestly my FAVORITE mobile game I have ever played. I play it religiously and am gonna be heart broken when I reach the end of it, best part about that is the fact that when you finish all of the levels in a shop there is a classic and endless mode that I have been playing nonstop. I rarely ever leave reviews but had to for this beloved mobile MASTER!

It’s excellent

Believe me. This game is awesome. I have tried different games and at some point other games stop being fun, ask you for money or their quality of image isn’t the same as it is on the promo but this game is different. The quality of this game is beyond excellent and in every level it gets more exciting and challenging which I love. It have lots of levels, different characters and different sections which things completely change and keeps it interesting. If you are a person like me who loves quality and really good entertainment then I highly recommend this game which you will not be disappointed. It’s incredible my gratitudes to whoever invented the game and took the time to make a Fabulous game.

This game is GREAT

I loved the first potion punch and when I saw this one I instantly got it (I think I pre ordered it not sure) and it not only held up, but shot past my expectations for it. There are basically no ads, the art is stunning, gameplay is great. However I do wish that it was a little easier to get gems, as right now it isn’t the hardest thing in the world with the weekly chests, but it’s definitely not easy. It would be great if we could watch an ad for a gem or two every once in a while. The quests in each of the venues also take a very long time to complete sometimes. However these minor problems can be overlooked easily, and the game is still a great one :)

Potion Punching Bag

I love PP2! I love the characters, the writing, the different levels. I love how it stretches my playmaking ability, trying out different lineups to optimize business flow. As a supervisor for a busy coffee shop, I get to really exercise my shot calling and decision making. The stakes here are of course lower, but when I’m 12 mana deep, it becomes a game of inches….nay, centimeters. I’m looking forward to unlocking all the avatars. There’s one dude in there that looks like me and I just gotta have him represent me in this game (I feel so seen).

Anyway, superb game. Great job to the game devs, the designers, the animators, and those outside and in between. Big pat on the back. You got me to lose an average of 2 hrs a day on this game. Better than scrolling Tiktok, I’ll tell ya that.

This game is so much fun!!!

I love this game so much!!! You NEED to keep making more worlds to play in. First off, it's unique compared to the other cooking games I've played. Having thieves that can steal your money? And have heat strokes to bring down the happiness of the customers? Genius!! I really love the art style and how unique this game is compared to the other cooking games (also no ads, which I am glad for). Please keep making worlds for this game and also a bug I came across, (was an awesome bug but should address it anyway) is the bubble popped up, showing that I could collect my money. I tapped it, but it could let me continue to collect money. And more money. AND MORE MONEY. Just thought you should know that this wasn't supposed to be happening, as helpful as it was... otherwise one of the best games that I have played yet!

Love this game!!

I loveee playing this type of cooking game but this one is just so unique and refreshing. It’s really challenging but it’s not that type of challenging where you need to spend money on it. I can play for hours without waiting for energy (or in this case mana) to refill in. I’m only on level 21 but I can foresee that I’ll be playing this until the end!

I haven’t played the first one, but you honestly don’t need to. The gameplay isn’t just you jumping from one level to another, but there are other details that you need to level up which is so fun to me. Other than the gameplay — the animation and characters are so well designed. I recommend for you guys to try if you enjoy this type of gameplay!! 🤩

Amazing!!!

I have always enjoyed fantasy things and liked the cooking games so when I saw this this, I decided to give it a try. I love this game, art style, and features. It seemed fairly easy at first but gets very complicated afterwards with the mixing, bow, the different bottles and trying not to burn the fish. A lot of other cooking game can be challenging too but this game doesn’t require someone to spend money to be able to finish a level. I love the idea of different hero’s, dragon instead of a normal grill, legendary customers, upgrading customers as well, and even the short dialogues that appears once in while. Every time I think there isn’t more to learn in a restaurant, in another level the game shows are new twist. I think everyone should give this game a try. I think the developers are doing an amazing job!!!

Superb Sequel

I adore the first Potion Punch - it's a very laid-back, progress-at-your-own-pace time management game with tons of charm and a fun color mixing mechanic. Potion Punch II takes the fantastic character and mechanics of the first one and improves them in almost every way while adding new challenges without creating an overly complex interface. This sequel is notably harder - I've failed multiple levels already, while I can hardly remember failing any in the first. But I think that's a good thing: there's more incentive to improve your shop, level up patrons, and get better at serving. You can replay old levels as much as you want to get more gold for upgrades if you run into a tough stage, and there are new employees you can enlist if you need extra help. You can't stock everything ahead of time because potions go directly into bottles instead of the intermediary dishes, so you have to be more on your toes and able to react. This entry feels more addictive and "just one more stage"-enducing while the first one was a relaxing break, but both are extremely endearing and fun games worth checking out.

Best Time Management Game Ever

I love this game I wish they would do more levels cause it’s so fun. I love how you don’t have to wait to get tries and you can play as many times as you want unlike a lot of other games with levels. It’s easy to get resources and it’s definitely not a pay to play game. The levels are challenging but not to the point where they are unbeatable or infuriating. The graphics are so cute and I love collecting all the patrons. The only thing I want is MORE LEVELS cause it’s been saying “coming soon” for a while. I know they are working on a new game right now but I just hope they don’t forget about this one. I keep coming back to it there is not a lot of iPhone games that are worth playing and out of the tons I’ve downloaded this is one of the two I actually kept.

😻

I was a huge fan of the first game, even the ridiculous 7 layer potion bosses 🤦 and this game is exponentially better.

TLDR:
Doesn’t cost real money if you’re willing to grind a bit, good time management game with levels that change so it stays new and fun, updated content including events all wrapped up in a quirky fantasy art style.

Biggest thing for me is that there’s no energy required to play, you can play for as long as you want, endless mode gives you a great opportunity to practice and hone your technique .
There’s several locations to unlock, each one having some small new game mechanic to learn. The new materials have a similar style(an ingredient that can be ruined or an ingredient that needs to be refilled) but used in a different way, making each world feel new and challenging.
Each world has quests and equipment/ furniture to upgrade and you don’t need to pay real money to get each one upgraded to 100% I haven’t gotten the hang of the events yet but I love that they are still adding content.
A small detail for me is the art style, it’s really quirky and kid friendly without being too childish. When you’re doing potions I highly recommend color blind mode, it’s difficult to distinguish between red and orange.
Overall this has been one of my favorite games for a long time, worth it enough for me to spend real money on.

Great! But..

This game is really amazing! And I haven’t gotten far but I’ll know I’ll love the rest. The visuals and the drag and place part is fun to do.

My main thing that is a bit tedious is the gems. I’ve seen this in many games and it’s very..well cliché. You can have people buy gems to get more hit what about those who don’t have that outlet? You need to make an easier way to get gems so we don’t always have to rely on waiting. Like maybe 10 gems each day to make it a bit easier so we aren’t totally bummed out. It happens a lot to where it gets annoying to people and they just delete the game without any luck. I’m not judging on ads because I understand that all developers need some kind of way to get money. At least this full came doesn’t have much but I’m okay with it. Now I realize not much of those mobile game developers really care enough to change this..but take in note that it’s tedious and it’s not always in fairness to use real money to buy bulk. Thanks.

Wonderful Game

This game is extremely enjoyable and calming. Although it might seem stressful, it has a rhythm that is very easy to get used to.
The many different areas keep the game alive and exciting. Then there are the items, which come in a usual pattern of three main foods/items, and a sub food/item. These items have toppings that can either be on both the main and sub items, or just one.
But to continue, the story is funny and a good break from the main game. The game allows you to try again and again, as much as you may please.
Finally, you should definitely consider buying this game, for it is fun and soothing.
